I think the touching actually adds to the battle. Come on, he didn’t hurt him or anything,it just shows ices style and his stage presence

i think the touching is whatever but the reason river seemed annoyed about it was because even before the battle he felt ice was being disrespectful in other ways, river even posted about it and said Napom (ur favorite beatboxer) touched him but in a friendly and funnier way for the audience and performance aspect, but if ur stance is no touching at all keep that same energy when you react to the Finals, and ice apologized but still was receiving death threats and i dont think its that deep yall

I had no idea all this went on behind the scenes, but your comment is perfect because I just recorded my reaction to the final and I said something very similar, that NaPoM and River have been friends and grew up in the scene together so although I still disagree with the touching, it feels more innocent and friendly in the Final, whereas Ice and River barely know each other, so it feels way more like it crossed the line. I do think the touching has got to stop altogether, however. We can absolutely have competitive battles with aggressive battle presence without touching. It's just not necessary. Having said all this, I do think the death threats are completely inappropriate and have no place in the beatbox scene or anywhere for that matter. To counter something inappropriate, like touching in the battles, with something even more aggressive and inappropriate does not help the scene at all and is toxic. Thank you for your comment and the info. Let's keep the beatboxing scene as positive as we can and remember this is Ice's first time on the big stage. It's a lesson he unfortunately had to learn the hard way, but he's an incredible talent, and we all make mistakes. Much love to everyone who has the guts to get on that stage. ESH!!!

@@willreacts_official Yeah some beatboxers like stitch think it’s apart of the battle to be aggressive, stitch said if it happened to him he would do the same thing back cause he equated it to like trash talking on a video game, but I see ur point I can see how it would bother people, I think he maybe was intimidated by river cause he didn’t do that with mr.androide, much love tho, keeep up the reactions

Yeah it means battling through beatbox, not beatbox and battle at the same time.
If you are new to GBB, then you aren't friends with all these people, so you shouldn't go touching them. If tomorrow Kenny even hit Napom, they'll take it jokingly because they are best friends. River and Ice are strangers.

He just touched him, he didn't kill him, Why did he exaggerate things? and also Ace was much better

True, but it's against the rules.
Also the judges know what they're doing. You also have to take into account other factors rather than execution, such as originally, and variation.
If you watch D lows video he mentioned how at this point in the comp Ice's rounds are starting to sound the same.

Sometimes touching leads to fights, so it's better to avoid touching altogether, even if the opponent accepts it. Also, they have looked heated since the match started, which is concerning regarding what happened behind the stage. One more thing that no one noticed: at 11:34, River stomped his foot on Ice's towel, which should not be acceptable either.

There is no reason to touch anyone, the battle is about the beats so let the beats do the talking. If you feel the need to touch your opponent then it shows that you are not confident in your own ability enough not to resort to sly tactics. You are also your own person with your own opinion on being touched. But you cannot speak for another persons comfortability in that situation.
