Aimee you are a gem! I really appreciate you sharing your skills. I absolutely love Asian cuisine. Especially Vietnamese but the restaurants around here are very mediocre. I’ve used this particular recipes soooo many times, it’s my hubby’s favorite dish. The stews, the breads…I mean everything is cooked here on a weekly basis. You are godsent! Thank you so much.
I can't wait to make this. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii. Vietnamese food is almost non-existent. I had lemongrass pork chop in San Jose, CA, and loved it. I'm determined to make my own. I love your video. It was clear and easy to follow.
I make this all the time, but I am going to use this recipe today as it sounds amazing! Thank you! The food processor is a must! Pro Tip: Fir Fish Sauce, combine water and sugar and micro for 45 seconds! This will allow sugar to dissolve. Let cool a bit and add other ingredients! I recommend Sambal Olek chili paste!
Anything Vietnamese I'm all in! This sounds so good and i grow plenty of lemon grass and many asian herbs so I'm going g to try this out this weekend and i will let you know the results, I'm sure it will be awesome.
meat came out so juice and flavorfully Chị. thank you for all the tips! my phone wasn't working so I cannot take pictures of the result to post but I love it😘😘😘
Thank you so much Chi perfect for summer time! if you have a nem nuong recipe that'd be so nice if you could make a video on it- so many I tried don't taste like the freezer nem nuong mixture or like the restaurants :(
Hi Aimee, love how you explain your recipes in your videos. Gives amateurs like me some hope lol. Question, would the Chinese mushroom seasoning be equivalent to your Japanese veggie seasoning?
What can be used in place of Anatto powder? Maybe paprika? Also, did you mix your daikon and carrots with the chili sauce you made for the rice? I only ask because I see chili and garlic in it and not the other sauce.
Paprika, but taste will be slightly different. Ok to avoid the annatto if color doesn’t matter to you. Yes, I mixed a little bit of the pickled carrots/daikon to the sauce before serving.
Looks good. I personally like the little bits of burnt parts because that to me means it's really grilled and has cancer inducing properties. LOL! Your garden is looking good. I cannot believe your tomatoes are ripe already. You should team up with Khang Starr since he does a lot of outdoor and hydroponics gardening and grows all kinds of stuff. He lives in Houston.
@@AimeesCooking You gotz to be creative, girl! He had a garden tour video earlier this week where he showed various herbs and veggies. I know I'm curious how he uses them (I know some are relatively common herbs used in Vietnamese cooking, but he has others I'm not familiar with, but I also don't have my pulse on what's cooking in the Vietnamese community, either). You cook stuff, he grows stuff...you show how to cook stuff he grows or stuff you grow that's similar. :)
@@AimeesCooking If nothing else, if you guys live near each other, you can probably take all the extra herbs and veggies off his hands for him. LOL! Or get some seeds for your garden. :)
We made this today!! It was so good! Thank you I love all your recipes! Please post more! Check out my daughters tiktok video of her making it! vm.tiktok.com/JRJaEAt/

Thank you for this recipe! It was so tender, juicy, and did not burn that I kept questioning my husband if he grilled it long enough!
Lol 😂 that’s funny cause my Mom is the same way. She always tell me to grill longer because she’s is looking for those burnt spots too 😂

Hi Aimee, love how you explain your recipes in your videos. Gives amateurs like me some hope lol. Question, would the Chinese mushroom seasoning be equivalent to your Japanese veggie seasoning?
That works 😉
Aimee's Cooking thanks Aimee
You’re welcome
HELLO NEW FRIEND HERE, CAN I USE CHICKEN OR BEEF INSTEAD OF PORK? THANK YOU FOR SHARING ! CANT'T WAIT TO TRY!
Yes, definitely 🙂
What can I use instead of Vegetable Seasoning?
You can go without. Up the oyster sauce by 1/2 tbsp. 🙂
Hi Aimee, I only have Annetto seeds, can I blend that to powder or do you have any suggestions? Tia
Cook the seeds in the oil just like I did with the powder. The color will come out into the oil. Drained the seeds and use only the oil.
Aimee's Cooking ok thank you
You’re welcome 😉
You got me drooling 🤤. It's been so long since i've had cơm tấm sườn nướng 😩
It’s time!! Give it a try 😉🙂
Looks delish! What vegetable seasoning do you use?
Vegetarian seasoning: Veggie Taste brand: made in Japan.
Aimee's Cooking thank you! What else do you use it for?
Btw so glad you’re posting more videos!!!
Thanks! Yes, more are coming. I use it in all my cooking/meat dishes.
What is this type of meat called? And where can u buy it? My grocer only sell pork chops.
Pork butt roast. Try asking for a special cut.
What's annatto powder? If I don't have it what can I replace it with?
It’s really just for color. Can omit if you don’t have it.
Thank you
You’re welcome ❤️
love it..!!
Thank you!! ❤️
What park of the pork is that?
Thanks
What is 1/2 tbs of Japan?
It’s part of the previous line 🙂
Aimee's Cooking I’ll go back and check. Thanks

Hi Aimee which supermarket sale the boned cutted meat
It’s a local grocery where I live but most store will cut it for you. I have had it done at the Vietnamese groceries too.
What kind of pork?

Hungry now.
Just approximately two hours. You can do it 😉😉😉
I heard that sweet potato shoots(the leaves) were tasty.
I'm making a halal version by using chicken or beef. I hope it turns out just good.
