- Classes are canceled at Bowie High School in Arlington after a student was shot and killed. Police said another student opened fire on campus just as the dismissal bell was about to ring.

America is insane, students shouldn't have to go to school knowing a school shooting is always a possibility like an earthquake or a tornado. Parents shouldn't have to worry about they're children's safety when sending them to get an education
Well, to be fair, school shootings are way more common than earthquakes. It's also very rare a school is hit with a tornado.... lets think about that.

We need to start teaching children in kindergarten coping skills, kindness, acceptance, empathy, compassion, integrity and morals. Growing up in the 70s and 80s we had so many PSA commercials and after school specials and great PBS children's shows that were entertaining and teaching all of these values. Schools were a safe place. So sad to raise my children in a crazy world. 2 lives ruined and over a girl? We all go through heartache.
Realize that the current demographics that make up most of public school’s cohort in the US lack those very traits you mentioned, even WITH after school programs/counseling. Schools were a safe place BECAUSE of the students they were made up of, not because of educational TV programs/commercials.

The fact this happen and Sam Houston high school went into lockdown I’m so glad it wasn’t us but very sad that the kid lost his life

Dear lord, please put your hands on this young man’s family as they are experiencing grieve like no other. Jesus Christ give these young kids and school staff the strength they need to continue to heal after such a tragedy in our community. In Jesus name We all pray Amen 🙏🏽
Neither of these kids are innocent.
It just so happens that one ended up dead and the other was the murderer..dont pretend like yall know Julian please...who knows..if it wasn't the other kid it could have been julian..everyone will get what's coming to them..Julian has both his parents..he didn't just wake up one day and decide to kill homeboy..there was a reason.yes he had other choices..but him and his family have to live with the choice he made.not yall.
