    ***UPDATE/WARNING 1/6/2024: I wouldn't buy the Kmart Heat Exchanger Stove. I had to return mine due to safety concerns and the fact that after a few months of not using it, the stove developed severe rust all over the piezo starter button, and no longer would set an ignition spark. Also, the adjustable valve no longer allowed gas to go through to the burner head which now rendered the stove useless. Unfortunately, I didn't film this, however I've never seen anything like this occur before with stoves - the orange rust was very unusual. I returned it to Kmart and received a full refund and voiced my safety concerns over this product. Take this with a grain of salt, but your call if you purchase this product. If you really want a better value heat exchange stove, and in my opinion, better quality product with more bang for buck, check out my review on this stove: ruclips.net/video/KWa_BXN7rG0/видео.html You'll love it if you're after something like this! :)

      I have two of these and several of my friends have them. We've been using them consistently for a few years and haven't experienced any issues or corrosion. They are however the earlier version without the stand which I don't mind. They cost $49 but I believe Kmart has discontinued them now. Still better value than Jetboil.

    Great video mate! You got lucky, I checked every box on the shelf when I bought my Ultra Hiking stove, not 1 of them had the gas bottle stand! I did like the kettle but ditched it from my kit recently as we only use the Hiking stove now and saved a little weight / room.

      Thanks mate... sounds like K-mart camping thieves at it. Very strange that all the stands were missing. In any instance, if you're after one, you can buy them on TEMU for $3.95. Here's a link: share.temu.com/5cu725ogh9A

    Campmaster, sounds like a character out of a carry-on Movie, what were the Kmart marketing smokin that day !!
    That kettle looks like a must have for me, great to pour over my 3-zeros coffee bags in the field.

    I got the same unit from The Wharehouse a couple of years ago...... Love it!!!! If you buy the smaller iso canister it fits inside the cook pot as well. It's awesome, wish I had brought sooner. I had to buy the stand separately from Macpac.

    Much prefer my spirit cook systems (beloved Trangia T27 and recently purchased T28 mini for day hikes/over nighters), but for those that like their gas cookers, the kmart knock off jet boil certainly does seem like a great value bit of kit. Nice review John👍

    Definitely keep an eye out for the other issues you mentioned.

    Could have got a whole campmaster stove for 25 bucks.. just as quick as their imitation jet boil but with much better flame control and way more stable.. cheaper refills too!

    Do you know if the Jetboil canisters fit the Kmart unit. Kmart always seem to be sold out of their canisters. Cheers,

    • @jelreviews
      @jelreviews  7 месяцев назад

      Yes it will fit, they are the one and same size thread... Except Jetboil gas canisters are 3-4 times the price. If you find them at kmart, buy a few of them as they are a bargain price.

    will the gas can fit in it if you get rid of the cup?

    • @jelreviews

      No, not the 230g can, only a 100g can will. Don't know if you've read the comments, but I wouldn't purchase this product - I returned mine due to safety concerns. This is one I've reviewed recently and I recommend: ruclips.net/video/KWa_BXN7rG0/видео.html Way better value for money too. :)

    WTF? I thought Kmart went out of business. And a white person shopping there? Who knew?
    This feels like a time warp to the 1980s when Kmart wasn't crap. I actually bought my first dome tent at Kmart when I was 12. I used that thing til I was about 26 when the poles disintegrated. Got my first 20" dirt bike there too.
    I detect an Aussie accent. Is this outside the US where people get better products than US people get?
