I still can't get over some TV show (I think "Singing Bee"?) where someone singing the lyrics; "Well I'm your Venus, I'm you're fire, your desire" was called wrong, and that it's actually ", _at_ your desire". They clearly do _NOT_ say "at" in the Bananarama version.
Shocking Blue (the original) does indeed have "at" relatively clearly said, but it's essentially gone in Bananarama. At best it's like "chore desire". There's no separate syllable.

I can’t be the only one that hears “and Venus was his name” like…everywhere I look they all say it’s “her” and that makes sense in the context of the song, but every time I hear it it’s 110% “his name” and sounds nothing like “her name”
