I live in Ohio not far from a large Amish community & the men DO indeed cut their hair (they all have those bowl haircuts)! The women do not purposely get their teeth pulled out either! They don't live in secret, they shop at stores, work jobs with the general public, go to amusement parks, the beach, etc... I don't know your source, but you are sadly misinformed.
It's a bit strange when you see an Amish person shopping at Walmart or standing in line at the ice cream store, but then you realize they are just like not-Amish in a lot of ways.
@@cheyennehunter3087 I believe they choose to have them pulled when they deteriorate rather than spend a lot on dentistry which can be seen as mostly cosmetic.
Because it's all lies . The Amish eat a healthy diet and don't eat all the junk food , microwave ready meals , and processed foods . They have healthier teeth then most Americans. If we didn't have dentists just imagine how bad our teeth would look with our sugar, processed and chemical indused foods we it .
Here in Upstate NY, we have Old Order Amish everywhere. I mean they are EVERYWHERE. They are in every type of store, buying regular bread and treats, ALWAYS trotting in their buggies on the roads, in the parks and museums. I doubt they pull their teeth unless they are causing them problems.
The one thing he got right is that the Amish broke away from the Mennonites. Most people think it went the other way around because Mennonites use electricity and drive cars and have phones.
We owe Trumps massive win of Pennsylvania to the over 95k Amish who registered and voted for their first time. Aside from the fact that we recognize and worship the same Savior of mankind (Jesus Christ, not Donald Trump) the Amish are cool in my book until my book is no more 😎🗳️ November 2024 was do or die for 🇺🇸
Agree totally that November '24 was Do or die for Trumpsters. You put off the gloom for 4 years then Trump can go to jail. At best, it'll probably be added gloom. But hey!, I'm not all Doom & Gloom. Then again judging by the past, there will be gloom.
I live in Ohio close to a large Amish community and this guy is so wrong on so many levels. They don't live in secret... Some work regular jobs, they shop at local stores, go to the beach, amusement parks, etc...I don't know this guy's source but he is sadly misinformed!
I would stop at roadside vegetable and fruit stands in Amish country Pennsylvania. They were usually attended by teenage Amish girls. Two things I noticed immediately. One was they all had body odor and two most had advanced tooth decay. Clearly personal hygiene and oral care are not priorities in these sects.
I don't believe you. Amish men and woman are very clean believing cleanselyness in next to Godliness. They work very proficient as in work smart not hard . And they are very active in their communities always working and helping their communities, they are proficient in making heating units , whells , getting fresh water through pumps , they feed and care very well for their horses , barn animals ,and their sheep , chickens , ducks and cows and their pet dogs . The men farm the lands , build homes , and bran's woman sew clothing, quilts socks , and bake 3 or more meals a day the attend school k-8th to learn the basic skills of math, reading , spelling ,history and are always helping out their communities, and they can togather from their garden food grains , fruits ,vegetables and salt meat and dry meat and storing foods in their pantries
It's a wrong video spreading misinformation. I have talked with Amish people from different Amish communities all over Michigan. All the women had their teeth. I have a lot of respect for their way of life and I find this video insulting.
Amish men and women eat with their teeth. They only have them removed if it's necessary. Don't believe everything that you see on the internet. I've had contact with Amish women from several different Amish communities all over Michigan. They all.had their teeth.
Oh for goodness sake. It was common in the UK in working class right up to the 1970s to get your teeth removed at 18. This was so you would never have dentist bills. Women saw it as a great plus in the marriage market. My Parents in laws generation (born in 1940s) in NZ thought the same, due to high dental costs and in rural areas it was difficult to access a dentist.
It is not unusual in rural and poor families. I suggested my sister to get hers pulled at a young age because she is developmentally delayed and had a hard time getting jobs and taking care of herself and her 2 kids. Her teeth were going bad, and I knew it was bad for her health and painful. Plus she looks better with dentures and it has really helped her confidence level to not be ashamed to smile. I learned this from having very impoverished neighbors that practiced getting dentures in their 20's. Now I also get teeth pulled instead of making dentists rich. I was blessed to have the money to get capped front teeth, so I still have them. I hope to keep them until I pass. But would get full dentures if I had to.
Each to their own. It's good they don't want to impose their beliefs on everyone, like some others. As a female, I couldn't live with all that control amongst so many others. It bothers me when I see the horses and buggies about; I always pray that vehicle drivers are careful around them.
Want to know more real Amish facts and way of life check out Off Grid with Doug and Stacy. They spend much time with the Amish neighbors and have adopted many of the things they have learned from them. They talk about them a lot too. Not a channel about Amish!!! But they are knowledgeable. I would like to have been born Amish and live outside of this circus we live in. Not sure I believe exactly as they do about some things, but I would if I'd been raised in an Amish home. I respect them and their way of life. Maybe the last of the truly good folks left in this trashed world. Only thing is if you got married to an abusive partner you would be stuck or have to leave...I'd not stay with someone that beat or emotionally abused me. Trust me on this!
A bit of this information is true, such as a rejection of technology. However, I have been in touch with many men and women from several different Amish communities in Michigan. They all were clean and friendly and yes, all the women had their teeth.
It's because of a law in the torah. However, if we are to truly follow the torah (Moshiac) laws, men would keep all the facial hair, nit just the beard.

I've listened to Amish women talk about having to have their teeth pulled. Maybe it was a different order.
They are actually a dangerous cult!

Thank you. Im glad I read your comment before wasting my time watching this.
@@PrincessDiana1220 You saved yourself because the entire video was a waste of time. The things this man claimed about the Amish are WAY off!

Mennonite woman who is an RN helped care for my mother and she is married. Not all Mennonites stop education at eighth grade.

I accept the suggestion that Amish women re
Move their teeth as a form of birth control.
They have no issue with being driven …happens routinely

Thank you for letting me know there was no mention about teeth.
They aren't allowed to have them filled.
Because they don't want to pay for the dentist
If they would brush and floss they would not have trouble with their teeth. I am not Amish but I am 81 and still have all my teeth
