It’s such a shame that this was rushed, it would have been cool if this was a tv series to see how they adapted as a real team
For reeeeal I would have loved to know a lot more about the other dancers and some connections
@@daisyk6259 yep, like if there was a tv show, and they needed members, then I would expect a episode based on them, and there backstory's, and a couple of dances still
It is a shame it wasn’t a series because they could’ve gone in depth with Quinn and jakes relationship, how the team formed, Quinn’s dad and her application to duke, her and her moms relationship, her friendship with jasmine and more but the movie was still great

this movie is so good but at the same time it was so rushed, the ending was too. i would like it if we see their progress like if we see them lose and then win at the end or something and see quinn going to her dream college
also it was kinda weird julliard just randomly changed, the dance ended and he immediately said "ive changed" it was so random... maybe it was just for the character development rating?? didnt make sense tho ill rate it a 8.5/10 just bc it was rushed

Exactly! Yes this movie is a YA romcom but i had so many expectations when I heard about it last year. This was so rushed and super cliché. There was no realistic development and I would have loved to learn more about the other crewmembers, but whatever i still kinda enjoyed it because of the actors ngl
it was 1 hour they could fit Everything in it -
my guess is that they will make a 2nd movie because the ending was kind of unknown
I think what made them win is because of how they gave every member a spotlight which is the complete opposite of the Thunderbirds who's more focused with Julliard.

I definitely agree, the thunderbirds only focused on Julliard however in the TBD group each member was focused on and they were each given a spotlight.

I’m not a dancer or a professional of any sort but this choreography was kind of anti-climactic 🤣 not really sure what i was expecting but great job to them 👌🏼

It’s more realistic this way... she sucked at dancing so it would be a bit of a stretch for her to do a full out routine only a couple of months after she took *semi* proper dance lessons
I love the fact that the film was real to the point of not doing anything spectacular in this final act, the characters did their best and went to their limit, they were not professional dancers to give a spectacular show, they were just people who knew how to dance or just liked it, so that was definitely a perfect insight into the direction of the film
Totally agree. Like I get that people say they expected more but come on these characters learned how to dance in less than 5 months. This performance was already really good for the time they had to learn
But that is contradicting with how they still won with such a mediocre choreography/execution

Bc a competition dance has to have a little more of technique
It's not about them only it was a huge competition they should have to be professional but anyway they won unrealistically

God what I love about this movie is that she’s so willing to learn how to be better, and he’s willing to teach her how. And even as this group, they never had any doubts even from the beginning. They knew dancing made them happy and it was fun and they just!!! Got to live it out at the competition!!!

I'm really glad this wasn't about the final dance, like all dance films are so intensely about the final dance, this one was about her journey and all, which I loved honestly ❤
don't hate me, i love sabrina and liza and jordan too. but last dance was supposed to be like legendary and just TOO good. personally i think i'm such a dance movie fan, their dance thtough the movie didn't make me feel anything. except the piano performance of jake taylor

I don't know about others, but I really like this scene. This is their friendship, how they invest in this dance. I love this movie
During this I wished they would've had a duet dance between Sabrina's character and Jordan's character. That would've taken this dance to the next level, also better music
I really hope they make another one. I've done watched this one about 5 to 6 times already. Jordan and Sabrina both did phenomenal with their characters. I think Jordans one year older then me I believe. 👏❤️ They did amazing in this film together 😊

Yes coming from a person who has the same ligament tear he has but lower in the leg near the ankle I can attest you NEVER can perform or move the same way ever again and the pain yes it subsides but god forbid you exert it for one day you’ll be moving all fucky for about a week or two after 😅🤣

I love this routine it’s not always about having style just have fun and that is exactly what they. Did that the other teams didn’t do they were always focus on matching and all having the same moves they forgot to add there own moves and just let go that’s why they won

Amy Keohane It wasn’t rushed because of COVID unless they wouldn’t release this or even have finished filming. It was just the execution of it, editing, and plot made it rushed. It would’ve been better if this movie was a tv series but this was purely enjoyable as well.
It was filmed last summer, with some additional shooting done last December. So not influenced by COVID.

I agree that the end, and the whole movie tbh, was rushed. Honestly a series would have been so great ! But I think the finale dance was great. I loved it and I know we are used to seeing way more spectacular dances and competitions but let's not forget that they are not supposed to be dancers. I think it is really realistic and I love it the way it is.
