The 1963 Dodge 440 had 7.0 litre 426 cu in V8. The 6.8 litre 413 cu in V8 was strictly a Chrysler of Imperial engine by 1963, although the Dodge 880 was essentially a Chrysler Newport with a unique grill and front fenders. That Dodge was available with the 413.
My X employer of 25 years was paid to haul away a 1976 Dodge Aspen R/T. It was missing the Hood, the Bumpers, interior, motor, trans, and most importantly the Title. But I had to have it! So a agreement was made to pay each one of the Brothers 150.$ each for the car that totaled 450.$ The Car was mine. Over the next year I slowly acquired a Hood, Bumpers and a 360 motor out of a 76 or 77 Camper. One day two guys came knocking on my door, said they were from Kentucky and just driving around wasting time while there Wife's were shopping at a local Mall here in Southern Ohio. They explained how they had to have the Car,that they had the Twin back home. I thought for sure that 1,500$ would scare them away but to my surprise they showed up about a week later with Cash. This was about 30, 35 years ago? So at that time to me, that was a lot of Cash. I regret it now but like they say. You live and you learn. Lol.
The LeMans Can Am was only made in 1977. And even though not many were made it's interesting that any search for a 77 LeMans will show you a Can Am for sale. Liars.
2:36 Zat 11? and yes it was a early factory hot rod run under the Super stock class.
In 1963 Dodge had a bare-bone mid sized called the 330, more optioned called the 440 and top of the line called 500.
