    Great interview and thank you for all that you do to advance the women’s game on the college level and professionally. The over 14k fams support your efforts, buy the gear, attend games and support our former players in the W. ❤ Overall success is not measured by only winning but on positive impact. We remember the days prior to your coming to USC where there were only 1000 in attendance with limited involvement in the community. The outsiders and latecomers may have their opinions but those that were there know the true story and we applaud your efforts Coach Staley 👏👏👏💥❤️. Thank you for improving things for the everyone.

    Great interview but the model cant sustain at the lower level college programs (d2 ,3 etc) . I admire Dawn's passion but theres a long way to go for all levels at every school. As for the wnba, schedule conflicts with mlb, hockey ,nba, nfl draft, and nba playoffs ,nhl playoffs mlb season and then summer vacations. Then nfl camps again. Its a terrible season to be a start to finish league. Smaller venues would help also. The product has potential upside but schedule keeps it along with low salary and profitability a liability compred to college nil and Europe right now.

    Give them equal pay. And watch it crumble under a decade. I believe they can get some kind of pay increase, heck even nfl players and nba players can. But, that pay can’t match that of the NBA. But hey, let’s give WNBA players equal pay and watch the entire league give under and rob thousands of young women the opportunity at playing pro ball just because they want to compete with men.

    • @JB-bw8nj
      @JB-bw8nj Год назад +2

      Not even making sense. NBA is barely basketball anymore and you think they should make more money? But if you give women more money the league will crumble? It doesn't have to be the money equivalent to what NBA players are making now but it can be similar to what they were making 20 years ago. WNBA is a young league but being ahead of the game would be more beneficial in the long run. It's happening right now and within the next 10 years the talent will be out of this world. College waited too long to compensate players and now schools are dealing with NIL and the transfer portal. Waiting too long to make the first move never works for anyone or any organization. And just to make it clear I'll repeat, NBA players are making too much money, they had to make rules for multimillionaires sitting out games when nothing is wrong with them, multimillionaire to play a recreational sport.

    • @AnonymousMan-ep9qs
      @AnonymousMan-ep9qs Год назад

      @@JB-bw8nj You’re entire novel made 0 sense. Yes it will crumble. The NBA is turning a profit that allows them to pay the overpaid salaries. If the WNBA paid the same money to their players the league will crumble because they aren’t getting a return back on what they are dishing out. Common sense. Go cry elsewhere.

    • @JB-bw8nj
      @JB-bw8nj Год назад +1

      @AnonymousMan-ep9qs but who said they have to pay the exact amounts smh... I'm not saying them what the NBA players are making I'm saying pay them more than what they are currently and it won't hurt the league. You're just being misogynistic disguising it as something else.

      @@JB-bw8nj Well I did say in my original statement they can get some kind of pay Increase, reread what I originally said and get back to me. You’re typing off emotion. You’re not being logical. I don’t take nothing you say serious. Fix whatever internal issues you have. I’ll pray for you and your blatant Misandry. Also if you believe anything I said is misogynistic, I thank you. Don't quite get this... Caitlin Clark makes way more NIL money than any male athlete on the Iowa campus. Women's basketball season tickets completely sold out within a few hours. Ticket prices increased by over 30%. Does Bluder make as much as the men's coach? No. But that's because there is still a huge revenue difference due to ticket prices. Still Bluder is closing the gap. And if Iowa has a good run next year and Clark comes back for a Covid year, you will see big increases for Clark (NIL), Bluder and ticket prices moving Bluder on par with her male counter parts. Attendance is growing because the quality of play is growing. But I'll be candid, it doesn't help women's basketball when high profile coaches throw around racial accusations as an excuse for losing a basketball game to a less talented team. And by the way, Iowa has a woman AD that makes a ton of money... compatible to her male counterparts.

      You all can't stand it when a black woman speaks. If Iowa win a natty then yes. South Carolina has led the NCAAW in attendance since 2014 and they've won 2 national championships but go off.

      They want equal pay but they not bigger than the men's programs so it makes no sense people make more at work for a reason equal pay is if we do the same thing on the same level we should get paid the same .
