Oh come on! There’s an .exe game based around Amazing Digital Circus now? What’s so scary about .exe files in the first place? It’s everywhere you look and I’m sick of it.
It’s all because of the Sonic.EXE creepypasta and the game based off of it. That game and its cliches have “inspired” games like this with it’s “hyperrealistic blood”, violent imagery, and how the format usually works, with the game in question at first appearing to be normal until shit hits the fan and everyone is dead and one character is a god that wants to make everyone including the players their playthings. Even with the occasionally leagues better fangames based off of the original game, there will always be .exe games using other properties aside from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Normal .exe files, that aren’t the horror based games, are just executable files for programs and applications.

That's why people are still making these.
