Hi Angie! As tempted as I was, I didn't end up buying this palette because I have almost all the shades. But, I don't have the first two shades. Your looks are so beautiful, I'm convinced I can't live without them! But I'm also unwilling to pay $53 for just two shades. I've searched the internet high and low, and no one else seems to have perfect dupes of the first two shades, so I was hoping you could make a video duping them with singles :) I totally understand if you have other videos you'd rather make! Duping is a tedious task. Thanks in advance, either way! While I'm here, I was also hoping for some generic tips on how to handle unusual colorful shades, like periwinkle or cornflower blue. (Not necessarily a whole video, just a few pointers :P) I'm really stumped on how to pair those types of colors with other colors. Thanks so much! I hope I'm not asking too much! (If I am, please feel free to call me out!)
@@arushioberoi8110 for unusual colors its fun to do a smokey eye with colors if that makes sense using different finishes and different color tones like a lighter to darker blue and then some shimmery lid color kinda thing or even mixing colors i felt like doing a cotton candy inspired look where i did purple and pink on the lid and blue on the lower lash line

I had the same with the tati beauty palette. All people from the us received it before my palette was even packed - they did not pay for priority shipping. Ive had issues with priority shipping many times too, and what I get told every time is that the processing and packing is not part of the 'priority', and the only thing you pay for is how they ship the product once it arrives at the post office... Which sucks, because like you said, so many time when you buy it the MINUTE it launches, your order is not prioritized in the order its received and it can take forever for it to ship. And they also might ship other others before yours if you end up back in the line somehow. Its frustrating. And it didnt even seem like they sent yours with priority when your friends got their packages first... annoying
this is why i always do standard shipping cause id rather save the extra money for makeup but every time i buy from melt had zero delays on standard boring shipping maybe cause i live in los angeles and they are based here. lol
yes, that part. that's so freaking ridiculous. why the hell would ya pay extra for quick ship only to have the company drag their stoned ass feet to the mailbox? it's a racket, it's freaking wrong, y'all.
I can’t believe these grown ass women who buy on the internet every single day don’t understand that priority shipping refers to the ****shipping*** It doesn’t mean your order jumps to the front of the line in the warehouse where it’s fulfilled. It just reeks of entitlement. Hey welcome back to the real world where the rest of us don’t get free stuff in advance! We actually have to wait for stuff we order. And as someone who works for a popular shipping company you guys have no idea how hard we work and the injuries we sustain daily so you can get your frivolous crap on time.
I love, love, love your tutorials!! I am 46 and stayed away from bright colors for years, but I started wearing crazy bright colors over rhe past year, and it turns out my hubby LOVES blue eyeshadow! I think it reminds him of when we were in school together during the 80s, lol!! 😆💗
I’m glad you took time to share your customer service experience- it’s the measure of whether I will buy from a company again. Anyone can mess up but it’s how they fix things that counts.
As a European, it’s really helpful that you (and other euro-tubers) talk about your experiences with customer service & delivery. I do feel that USA companies overlook customers ordering from outside the country.
I actually just watched a you tuber who ordered priority verses regular from several companies. Half of them the regular mail came before the priority and the rest were one day apart. So the lesson is don’t pay for priority.
Thank you for telling about your customer service experience👍 As an international customer I often feel left out of all the fun stuff. Beauty bay has fantastic shipping and packaging services involved. Not as luxurious as Beautylish, but very good👍 Love your blue look💙
Thank you for sharing the customer service issues you encountered with Melt; I agree that this is an important part of the review. I also appreciate your explanation of the pigmentation of the shades. Both looks are stunning! Thank you for these tutorials; I know they are a lot of work and time consuming to film. Great video!😊❤️
I'm glad that you spoke about the customer service, for us Europeans especially. I get so apprehensive ordering from a new-to-me brand's website when they aren't based in Europe. I'm so glad that Melt is on Beauty Bay at least. I'm sorry you had a sucky experience but hey, the looks you created look absolutely gorgeous especially that cut crease!
Oh my word that last look! The inner corner color like glowed through my computer screen. And also thank you for mentioning the shipping - I think it's a very important part of the review and reminded me that I won't be ordering directly from the Melt site. I'd rather order through a Beauty Bay or Sephora type shop.
Im sure that if more people than me had issues they will improve, but on the other hand I do want to share my experinece when I do feel I have things to add and things that could improve :)
ooooo when you get the 'your order has shipped!' email and it's just a label has been created, then it takes another 48 hours to actually ship. i find that super frustrating and it happens all the time.
Even though you were afraid to burn Bridges, I find it helpful that you included your customer service story. Yes, παν (pan)- all and θεον (theon) gods is the Ancient Greek name for the domed temple in Rome that the Emperor Hadrian added to a pre-existing structure. I appreciate this type of closeup very much, it allows us to really see exactly what you are doing, and I personally am trying to learn your style of how you create the look. I have 0 zip all natural talent so I need to try that much harder and practice that much more, I can’t recreate this look cause I don’t own these colours yet I will be searching for dupes which you gave me for the reds so thank you so much for that. It’s your style and how you lay each colour down and the blend and type of brushes you are using so I can do my best to watch rewatch and try to learn. Much love xoxo 🤗.
Melanie gorniak Just in case you’re not familiar with Temptalia, it is a wonderful site to find dupes! They have a gigantic database, and the Melt Muerte palette is on there with many dupes listed. I checked the Makeup Geek shades, and they weren’t very close at all, but there were many ColourPop dupes and tons from other brands as well. Good luck!😊
Two extremely stunning looks! The navy look really enhances your eye colour; your eyes look like beautiful crystals! I can’t wait to see what you do with the other palette! Thank you for always inspiring me with new ideas! 😘🥰
I’m so sorry you had that experience when ordering! But just know that I don’t care when you put your videos up on products I always look for your videos! I’ve been waiting to see your video on this palette specifically and both of these looks are stunning of course! 💙 And I also know that you’re in Sweden so it usually takes longer to get to you.
Been waiting for this video! Your looks are stunning :D Thank you for being honest about your experience - really glad to hear you'll think they'll come to beauty bay!
Tried to follow your look with the blues. I ended up using viseart 01 neutral gray to start and it worked great. I am so glad I listened to your advice. 😘
Woooooo I'm so happy to see these looks on here!! The Instagram videos just aren't the same for me. I love getting to share in the whole process with you and hear your thoughts. Both looks came out beautiful and super cool! Thank you for sharing. 💜💚💙
Thank you for sharing your customer service story. That is part of the experience with the palette and the company. I appreciate that you told us as you could have not said anything and you may have effected your PR chances. Respect. I’m having a not great experience with another company so it’s helpful to hear yours was resolved. If you hadn’t had a friend paying for nonexpedited shipping I wonder if they would have told you about shipping all the international packages on the same day. Happy you have the palette and that you got your video up ahead of the official launch by a half a week. I love both of these looks! The blue monochromatic smoky look is perfection!! It’s a brilliant cool toned look, my favorite. Will be replicating it for a long time. Thank you. 😻💙💙
That blue smokey eye!!!! There are no words!!!! I really hope you do get time to do more looks with this palette, I'd really love to see how those blues would work with the green tones.
Your blue eyeshadow look is absolutely stunning. I did not understand the reds with this palette. But now I would use them with the same technique you applied the grey and blues. Thank you so much!!!
When you do the review can you talk about the longevity of the liner because no one has done a wear test yet (my bf got me the palettes as birthday and Christmas presents so I don't have them yet) but I like the liner shades and everyone says they are creamy but I want to know they last before I buy them myself
You are right, the second look is everything 😍 And thank you for also pointing out the more negative aspects even in a positive review - that really helps our decision-making!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE these looks! That dark blue look is STUNNING! Honestly, I could live in that look! Those dark grey blues... UH! So much love! I mean the lighter one was also hella pretty, but I LIVE for that stormy smokey eye!
Yo, I love melt -- have always! but the real tea? ever since their second launch of smoke sessions they've been getting a little uppity. they need to step it tf up. sorry this happened to you.
I never got any of their palettes because they all came during my low buy and I tried to be a smart consumer :P But I was surprised over how long this took haha :P
I really appreciate you sharing your experience! I plan on buying this when it’s back in stock, so now I know to lower my shipping expectations. I’m also really glad to know about the blendability! You’re my go to for good info!
Fantastic looks! The blue one is my favorite, I especially liked how you pulled it together with the yellow lips! Btw, I think Muerte can go well together with Spectral palette from Linda Hallberg that have few of lighter pastel shades for transition
Good idea. Currently wishing I didn't live in Sweden 😉 so I could shop on Linda Hallberg's Black Friday sale this week. I'd love that palette for 50% off 😍 esp since I ordered from Melt & paid through the nose for it 🙆
I adore your video. Thank you for sharing your experience because learning about how customer care works is beneficial for a company! The eye looks are gorgeous and they look good. I usually have a hard time blending dark blues and reds because my result looks like a black eye. I appreciate that you offer tips on how to deal with the blend. ❤️
The customs were very frustrating but your looks are really stunning 😍 And what an idea to mix with other palettes, and thank you for the tips about the palette, too 🤩
Your experience is why I try to avoid ordering directly from brand sites and try to stay within larger retailers like Ulta, Sephora, and department stores for purchases. The larger retailers have more sophisticated warehouse and shipping systems in place to prevent issues like this. Most brands just aren't equipped to handle the number of orders they receive to ship in a timely manner and aren't experienced enough with how to handle customer disputes and inquiries. I only order from brand sites when the sale is too good to pass up or like this launch where the full launch wouldn't happen for almost another month compared to when it launched on the brand site.
i finally ordered this palette as it just came back in stock for the first time in MONTHS at sephora, for a short time, and i am so excited to recreate your first look 🥺 thank you for the very honest review and i am so sorry about your experience with their customer service!
I love how artistic you are with your looks especially since (as far as I know) you've never been an "official" makeup artist. It's really refreshing. That being said, I love the eye look in the intro - really inspirational for someone getting back into blues after being afraid to revert to terrible middle school looks - but I think the lipstick is tonally very similar to your skin tone and looks kind of foundation-on-lips-y. I hate giving a back handed compliment like this, but if you like it you do you!!
Shopping from US based brands as an international shopper has always been such a pain to me. I get that there are things out of their control like postal and custom issues, but being constantly denied the appreciation and prioratisation they give their US customers is quite disheartening.
Josey Mawii that’s extra frustrating because it feels like European brands work really hard to wow US customers. It’s not fair, and I’m sorry you have to deal with that. 💕
Damn Melt & the Swedish Postal Service, I wanted 3 looks lol 🤣. Both of these looks are perfection👏🏼👌🏻. That blue smoky eye is freaking stunning. I'm excited to see the looks you created with the other palette. Seeing precious Tesla warms my heart. He's so cute🤗
Beauty Bay usually gets everything from Melt on their site and they are European, it's just a taaaaad longer wait before they show up there but their shipping has never let me down :)
You may or may not be early on reviews, but yours are the very very few reviews that I trust 100 percent ❤️❤️ Also the Zulu liner from ColourPop I have to go over several times on the waterline to get opaque color. But I have their pink and purple liners and those are super opaque from the start. A bit frustrating, you would think all the colors would perform the same way. Gorgeous looks!! I’ve been drawn to the Muerte palette much more than the Vida.
Wowowowow your latest video reminded me that I owned Muerte and Vida and I had to go back to rewatch your looks for some inspo. I can't believe this was you just a year ago!
Just made it to the palette part of the video (which, I applaud you for sharing your experience. I'm glad you did! I'll be at Sephora on black Friday to buy this opposed to ordering online) and please, I think you should make more looks with this palette! And vida if you decide. Or do looks combining the two!!!! I just want to see this palette more than anything ever, like I've never been so fricken excited for a palette. Just please don't let this one fall off and not be used anymore just because it becomes "old" like I would love to see more with this (no rules, combine with other palettes and transition shades, you do you babe) because you're the one I've been waiting to see use it! You're the best Angelica.. the queen of color! 👑💎💙💚
This whole collection is very pretty! I’ve never worked with colors that pigmented before. I am very fair and don’t know if I could get those to work on me. I need to up my blending game. 😀My favorite look was the blue look. Those shades are so stunning! 😘💚
Honestly customer service experience really makes it or breaks it for a brand doesn't it? No matter how awesome the products are. It sucks that happened to you with your order!
I wore this first (red/aqua “Lagrimas”) combo for my birthday last year! Our Amazing Angie, you’re like our Pantone “how to wear any shade” and I absolutely love and adore you for it! I treasure your ability to showcase color and use palettes to their fullest extent! I live for colorful everything as well and I’m in my 30’s too: though I’m convinced you look eternally, like...18. 😘 (in the BEST way!) Much love! ❤️🌈✨
Thank you for mentioning this, I avoid such shadows hence not buying these palettes (or any of such kind). The idea and packaging is lovely but the colors dont seem like anyhting super unique.
I appreciate the heads up on your experience with your order. That is why companies and sites ask for reviews, right? So they can hopefully learn and grow from the experiences too. I love the first look it looks amazing! The second is beautiful too of course though. Your dress is so cute, I forgot to mention that on your vid yesterday.
Loved both looks but the blue look has to be my favorite! I'm really glad you discussed your customer service experience. I always think those type of things help future customers. I will be ordering this palette from Sephora or elsewhere than the Melt website. I've ordered from their site before and it took FOREVER to get to me and I'm here in the states! So it's not just international customers that have to deal with long shipping times. Again, love the looks! I love watching all your videos! Hugs from Virginia!
I got mine on Sunday in Australia , and I didn’t pay for express shipping, and some items were missing. However I have been playing with the Muerte and enjoying it, so I’m still here for the looks!
This is exactly why I love you so much, your honesty and openness! Also, I agree about the colourpop liners! I have some older ones that are amazing and I recently bought one that doesn't want to stick to my waterline, when the old ones stay on overnight 🙄
That deep blue smoky eye is stuuuuuuuning on you. Amazing. Thank you for the honest review. The color story is so unique, but it has to be more than that for the price. Beautiful colors though.
Hi again Angie - follow up question from yesterday - what do you think of how the Melt highlighter compares to Teasecake? Lighter, darker, more pink, peach, more or less sparkly? Really wondering...... :)
I totally get you. I had to learn patience where I am leaving now. My Colourpop orders get to me within 2-2.5 months. Even if I would be willing to pay for fast shipping it wouldn't change anything because they would still keep it around a month in customs haha;)
First of all...I watched the whole video And secondly I did not mind. Lol! Feel free to continue to be your honest, colorful, positive self. It's a breath of fresh air on this platform. I really hope MELT works with you in the near future. That would be great!
Thank you for sharing your shopping experience, I definitely think that's an important part of the review. ✨ Gorgeous looks, especially love the first one! 💚😘
Thank you so much for the review! I was very excited for the muerte palette but for some reason they didn't seem as exciting in the swatches? The blue look you did is VERY gorgeous tho, and pretty much the main reason why I probably still will buy the palette :D my main look right now is a variation of reds and blues combined and I always have to pull three or four palettes to get it right, but I think this will "fix" that 😂
Thanks for the video. At least you got your money back for priority shipping. The second look smokes! Nice touch using the blue from Colourpop as an inner highlight. :)
*Hi Tesla!!!* Omigawsh both looks are stunning, especially the blue!!! I’m so sorry you had to deal with the shipping drama, but am glad they refunded the priority (ha!) shipping charge. Customer service is so important, and not being on top of it loses customers. I’ve never bought from Melt, and though I live in the US, worrying about shipping doesn’t sound fun. Thank you for the video!!!💙💙💙
This is such a stunning collection, but out of my budget and comfort zone (well, sort of, I want the deep matte shades, but can't justify it when I know I can't wear 99% of the time, etc and how can I only get one half of the skull?!). So I shall vicariously through you. Can't wait to see the looks with Vida.
I think that the light green really appeals to me the most. I dont have anything like that in my collection. I think I will try to find a good cheaper dupe for those two shades.
I ordered the pr bundle and because I live in Northern California and they are Southern California I believe it came in a timely manner. I experienced bad turn around times ordering from the Juvia's place website. I usually wait for Ulta to get it
I feel you on the ColourPop pencil liners, I've def had issues with one or two of mine that seem to go on so patchy now, and trying to go over it just seems to pick up on itself and makes the patchiness even worse. The one I had the worst trouble with was the dark teal one in Fast Lane.
I don’t like the pencil liners anymore because they dry out in a few months for me, start breaking and are less creamy. I like the potted liners better because they are more creamy. I only have Venus and prance now so I don’t know about their other colors. I also use them as a base for my eyeshadows sometimes. I bought the orange and burgundy potted liners yesterday during their 30% off sale so they are on their way.
Shipping is an extremely important part of the buying process for me so I'm very glad you discussed your customer service experience. I really dislike long shipping/prep times---to the point where I will probably not buy something if it won't arrive in a timely manner.

Panteon is cemetery 😂 and Catrina is a skull whose “face” is painted, like in the front of the palettes, with all the colors and flowers
Oh cool! I wonder what Panteon ment in latin since it's the name of such a famous building in Rome, need to google it :P
apparently it's a temple "for all gods", interresting :P
Panteón is actually the lot (normally with gravestone) where a person or, usually a whole family, is put to rest, which is in a cemetery.

The navy look really enhances your eye colour; your eyes look like beautiful crystals! I can’t wait to see what you do with the other palette! Thank you for always inspiring me with new ideas! 😘🥰
This palette And Amylovesmakeup's Alma palette are the 2 tempting me to break my no buy a 2nd time for the year!
Oh Im so happy that worked out for you! :) I used this palette again after with a lighter shade and I loved that too :)
This look is so freaking gorgeous! I've been waiting for your thoughts on this collection. Thank you so much for this video!
Thank you Saya! :D
I mean the lighter one was also hella pretty, but I LIVE for that stormy smokey eye!
coming back here because I am so excited for the re-release today!!!! you've always been an inspiration!!!
completely love the blue look!! I would love an update on this palette if you like it or not. I am interested in trying this brand.
@@AngelicaNyqvist they're comfy in Sephora now 🙄
Exactly. I have been a customer since the beginning. Now, I’m completely turned off, it’s one thing after another with them
I really appreciate you sharing your experience!
I'd love that palette for 50% off 😍 esp since I ordered from Melt & paid through the nose for it 🙆
Soooo glad you can FINALLY review this collection!!! Its absolutely amazing!!
i have been setting my eyes with some translucent powder before i use this palette and it helps to blend
The red and turquoise looks is amazing!!! Bold and beautiful.
The customs were very frustrating but your looks are really stunning 😍 And what an idea to mix with other palettes, and thank you for the tips about the palette, too 🤩
I'm glad you did your Rant ! Because that does go on..w/Comps. Plz keep doing these deep looks w/ color. .my Fav!♡♡♡
Beautiful colours. I think I'll wait for your final review
I love the looks you created. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your buying experience.
Being a European, this will make me reconsidering any possible order i would make from melt....what a pity...
Beauty Bay usually gets everything from Melt on their site and they are European, it's just a taaaaad longer wait before they show up there but their shipping has never let me down :)
Sara S. The rust issues also scares me
@@carlasouza5306 There is no "rust"; there is no ingredient in any eyeshadow, from any brand, that is scientifically able to "rust", LOL!
You may or may not be early on reviews, but yours are the very very few reviews that I trust 100 percent ❤️❤️
Also the Zulu liner from ColourPop I have to go over several times on the waterline to get opaque color. But I have their pink and purple liners and those are super opaque from the start. A bit frustrating, you would think all the colors would perform the same way.
Gorgeous looks!! I’ve been drawn to the Muerte palette much more than the Vida.
“This one is a we need to talk” hahaha ohhhh do I love your videos. ♥️
Incredibly beautiful looks!! You are so talented! Also, I appreciate you letting us know your shopping experience because it’s important. 💜
These palettes are so beautiful and I love the looks you've created with them, you look stunning! x
Thank you so much! :)
I love the color of you'r eyes! And it looks so good with the blue! 😍😍😍😍😍
This palette is so beautiful! The looks you did were so lovely. So excited to see what you do with the Vida palette, next.
This whole collection is very pretty! I’ve never worked with colors that pigmented before. I am very fair and don’t know if I could get those to work on me. I need to up my blending game. 😀My favorite look was the blue look. Those shades are so stunning! 😘💚
I just received my amor aterno pallet in the mail today and just saw your tutorial and about to go try your looks, they came out so awesome!!
Absolutely living for the turquoise look! Looks beautiful
😘 (in the BEST way!)
Much love! ❤️🌈✨
I appreciate your experience with customer service! That palette is so intriguing to me!
Is the color that looks like a red show up as a true red in person? It looks like an orange red
Id say these are pretty red and doesnt lean either pink or yellow. The Mexicana in the other palette I feel is more of a warmer red.
@@AngelicaNyqvist oh, okay thanks. I think I will defiantly be buying this then
Work appropriate look? I've never heard of her 🤷♀️
Love the dark blue monochromatic look... gonna try it with other colors.
Lora Lynn yes!! It’s such a good look 😍
Have you thought about duping with some of your singles??
I did like the palettes, these did stain my eye lids though. It’s not a problem for me but just in case that bothers others ...
Thank you for mentioning this, I avoid such shadows hence not buying these palettes (or any of such kind). The idea and packaging is lovely but the colors dont seem like anyhting super unique.
Thanks for the Feedback. Good to know.
Love the colours in this palette and the 2 looks you created are gorgeous 😍 . Thank you for your honesty about your shipping experience ❤️ xx
Oh I hope you get what's missing, that must suck! :/
ugh im in aussie to and i still haven’t received my package and my tracking says its with a third party but doesn’t look like its even left the states
I think it's more like the Everybody's got a weakness because of the warm yellowybeige undertone :) But they are similar, for sure :)
@@AngelicaNyqvist Thanks very much!! xo
I totally get you. I had to learn patience where I am leaving now. My Colourpop orders get to me within 2-2.5 months. Even if I would be willing to pay for fast shipping it wouldn't change anything because they would still keep it around a month in customs haha;)
Absolutely enjoy watching your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for posting this! I had wanted to know your thoughts before I try to pick it up on Thursday
Love both the looks!! 💙💚 Keep creating, be happy and stay blessed!! ❤
Hi Angie ,,love both looks, but the first one its stunning,,I will recreate the look with what I have:)
Thank you so much for the review! I was very excited for the muerte palette but for some reason they didn't seem as exciting in the swatches? The blue look you did is VERY gorgeous tho, and pretty much the main reason why I probably still will buy the palette :D my main look right now is a variation of reds and blues combined and I always have to pull three or four palettes to get it right, but I think this will "fix" that 😂
You look sooo gorgeous!!!! The Queen of colours!!!
the blue look is one of the prettiest looks I've seen anyone do with this palette. The blending looked perfect!
Thanks for the video. At least you got your money back for priority shipping. The second look smokes! Nice touch using the blue from Colourpop as an inner highlight. :)
*Hi Tesla!!!*
Omigawsh both looks are stunning, especially the blue!!!
I am not a big commenter but I had to say that the colors in your look with the turquoise and red REALLY made your eyes pop!
I am totally in love with both of the looks you created!😍🤩😍
Your pup is BEAUTIFUL!!!! What a sweetheart. 🌼🙏♥️🦋
I love that lipstick color!!⭐️
Yyyaaasss shouted out loud🙌🏽 you make me want these and I dont know what to do with the shadows I have.
Wow blue can be so hard. You make it look easy and beautiful!!!
Shipping is an extremely important part of the buying process for me so I'm very glad you discussed your customer service experience. I really dislike long shipping/prep times---to the point where I will probably not buy something if it won't arrive in a timely manner.
