    Can I take my investments from Schwab intelligent account and manage them myself or it’s not allowed and I must liquidate to move my assets out of the account?

    Can you get the Premium Portfolio and decline the advisory portion of it? Or should I just get the regular Intelligent portfolio if I do not want the advisory? I mean, are they both the same product and one just includes advisory??

    On your explanation of the cash allocation, you seem to be saying that they use it to invest. But then it's not cash. I don't understand what you are saying.
    I think they keep money in cash so they can sweep it and make money from it - the hidden fee.
    And correct me if I'm wrong, but tax-lost harvesting doesn't matter with qualified accounts, right?

    Hi Robbie, this video was extremely informative and convinced me to open an intelligent portfolio w/ Schwab. I am currently invested in a assortment of Schwab MF and ETF's (literally my first doing it)But I feel an Intelligent Portfolio make work better for my novice experience. As I applied for the portfolio, it asked if I should enroll an existing Schwab account "The entire balance of the account you are enrolling will be invested in Schwab Intelligent Portfolios." Do you recommend I do so? Thank you, I appreciate any advice!

      Yes, you are buying into a diversified portfolio. This is a long term, 3-5 years, thing if you’re investing in growth/aggressive stocks. There is no financial planner in the world who can effectively diagnose where /when to buy/sell….a computer is not emotionally affected.

    You should do an update on this: the real reason they hold 6% cash is because they make a lot of money on your cash. Never understood why you have to have cash in a retirement fund that isn’t gonna be touched for years.

    Why would you let a computer manager your money and your future? I have an investment portfolio with Charles Schwab with 61 different holdings. I hand picked each holding and I decide how many shares I want to purchase with each. I can look out for myself better than anyone else (or a computer). No ETF for me, no min deposit and no fees. I have free trading.

    Cash? I don’t put money in brokerage to manage cash, Schwab uses cash in this portfolio to lend money to cover costs / make money. Schwab is not parking part of your portfolio in cash for you!

    • @RobbieMoney2
      @RobbieMoney2  Год назад +1

      I look at this differently, JB Runner. Cash is an asset class and it allows Schwab to take more or less risk within it's portfolio mix based on the weight. Also, cash beat most asset classes so far this year. More cash in 2022 lead to better returns.

      Agree that older folks have long term investments. But the statement was that an S&P 500 ETF is “all one needs”. While a portion of a portfolio may be in an S&P 500 etf the portfolio should be asset allocated and have other less volatile ETFs/investments as well.
