and you do know technology is shite if it's not operated correctly. If Andy Serkis performed terribly this would look totally uncanny despite all the efforts from others. Yes the team as whole deserves an Oscar but especially Andy Serkis cause he's nailed it every time.

Yeah. I went into this movie with biased skepticism. I specifically wanted to dislike the movie. But I was so impressed by the CGI and story that I can say refreshingly that I genuinely think that the series was one of the best to grace the screens from 2010-2020.

Toad Ette why do you have to drag down his accomplishments? Yes the cgi is a marvel but it's not everything, it can only make an actor look like an ape, the performance is ALL him. Just watch any one of the behind the scenes footage, this is HIS performance, the cgi artists just added more hair.
Haha no, this is just disrespectful to the Animators/ CGI Artists. Motion Capture technology doesn't work like you think it does. Every single frame needs to be refined, every dot needs to be repositioned. Andy Serkis isn'a an ape or a creature named Gollum. Just look at his bones.

I pray that Serkis becomes the first actor to at least get nominated for an Oscar for a role like this. He IS Caesar. If you would nominate a human in the role why does it matter what you see on screen if what you see on screen is still the essence and emotion of the actor?

- the academy is full of cgi-hating retards
- it undermines the work of the VFX team (they should probably have an award that awards both the actor and the animators)

Matt Reeves can make Gorrila Grodd come to life for the DCEU!!! The motion capture and VFX for all these movies have been amazing!!!
Got a question on Grodd. Would his lips move, or would he speak telepathically like in the CW series? I personally felt that CW was taking a shortcut by having him be telepathic. At the same time, I'm not well read on the Flash in the comics, so maybe CW was being true to the source material. But if they do use him in the DCEU, would he probably have vocal animations, or would he be more in line with CW?

That close up of Maurice when he meets the girl was freaking mind blowing the first time I saw it.
All the combined genius that has lead to this point in technology is humbling.
