X4 Pro is a successor of X3 NFC, not X3 Pro. X3 Pro is a great device and I don't see why would anyone buy these new Redmi and Poco midrange phones when you still can buy Poco X3 Pro or even Poco F3 for a great price. I have Poco F3 btw.

Even though you state that the X4 Pro has EIS, the footage seems to indicate otherwise. Given that the shakiness seems to be present both on the front and rear cameras (where as the M4 seems just fine), it seems that Xiaomi has once again disabled features for marketing purposes. The SD 695 platform seems to only support 1080p video capture in general which is super weird for a current gen SoC.

My current Redmi has problems with the mic when using handsfree calling. This is a known issue with Xiaomi. Also the near speaker sensor doesn't function, so it often happens that when I'm calling, my ear touches the screen, resulting in hanging up 🤬🤬. At this moment I'm looking at the REALME 9 Pro Plus. I'm not a gamer, but do like to make nice pictures. What would you advise, Xiaomi or the REALME 9 Pro? Thanks and keep it going.
That's a lot of money for any of the Chinese manufacturers that's not Huawei, and since their devices have been castrated, you are better off getting a Samsung, Google or Apple. My limit has changed a bit for a brand new phone, but I stop at $300, and even then you could argue that a used flagship would be better, and it is in all the ways that matter. My advice is to lower your spending limit for these Chinese brands, and do it fast, before you wake up contemplating spending over 1k for their flagships.

I can't in good faith recommend xiaomi products anymore. They screwed me over with repair fees. It would cost $550 to repair a broken screen of my Poco F3 just for the parts alone. For context I bought the phone for $310. And they also charged me a non refundable $25 inspection fee 🙄.

What really confuses me on several reviews of this device (X4 Poco Pro) Is why they often just have the EU plugs instead of the plugs of the person they are sending it to as a review kit. Such as sending an EU plug to Americans, Australians and so on. Why not use the reviewer's nations plug?

M4 Pro seems to be the better bargain for a phone in this category. The camera quality is bad in both of them and whatever advantages the X4 Pro might have seem negligible to me. If you care about top of the line camera quality or max performance gaming, then neither phone is an option. But otherwise, it's a great buy for the price.

I ordered the X4 pro 5g as wanted a 5g phone. The video stutters on ITV Hub, All4, My5 and Virgin TV Go but strangely not BBC iPlayer. Sent one back and now the replacement has the same problem.
I was thinking about getting a Poco with a 860 but they were lacking something, a 3.5 jack or SD slot, can't remember, so I'm getting a Moto G100 with a 870, 3.5mm, and SD slot. Also the Moto has USB 3 and video out. I prefer LCD over AMOLED since I hang on to tech longing and don't want OLED to go bad.
My cousin has a G100 and he's more than satisfied. Zero lag, great cameras and he gets amazing battery life. One con would be the slower charging and the fact that it won't get Android 13, which is a bummer.
This year poco x4 pro is weird. First of the m4 pro is better in many area. Second the poco x3 nfc from 2020 can record 4k 30fps video but the x4 pro can't. And third although the x4 pro snapdragon 695 have 5G it have worse performance the poco x3 pro snapdragon 860. It feel like a downgrade in many area
Issue here is if X4 had better chip then price would be premium. They sacrificed the right things to keep costs low, gaming performance is still good for native games. Hopefully that's also the case for emulation of GameCube and PS2.

X4 pro looks really rubbish here, down from 860 to g96 level, just get the m4pro, m4pro is decent, if they roll out a dimensity version of these phones, might have a better chance. at the price for the x4pro, just wait for sale on f3.

Poco F3 still seems like an overall better device in the same price range.

Yes seems it actually has no EIS but is meant to and on the screen looked like it had EIS. Really odd the cap at 1080p30 that is quite disappointing

X3 Pro is better than both of these apart from the screen. Also both phones performed pretty crappy in the camera department.
I'm very happy with the display on the X3 Pro. Very nice colours but not over-saturated.
With Samsung supporting 4 years of updates now I don't find these Chinese phones interesting anymore.

The only thing I would trade my X3 NFC for this X4 PRO is only the amoled screen, apart from that nothing, not even 5G.
It could be a cheap AMOLED not worth the money.
