What a great walk Jason and certainly some of my favourite parts of the Dark Peak.

New viewer/subscriber, great videos 👍🏻 I'm really wanting to get into a bit of wild camping but I'm a complete camping virgin, got no gear or idea at the moment. Love the views and peacefulness 👌🏻

Thanks Greg - really appreciate it. Takes a while to get your gear together - practised setting up at home. I’ve made tons of of mistakes but never had a disaster (famous last words!)😂

Nice video 👍 I camped in that very spot a few weeks ago. Perfect rock to sit on and enjoy the views.🌄

Thanks mate - I’m not sure if pitches get much better than that! So flat too!

@@cragratoutdoors No, it's like a lawn. Could do with another one for tomorrow in that area really. Or I'll end up back there.

Thanks Dan! The weather makes it but I imagine it’s quite bleak up there when the clag sets in!

I camped there last Friday but it didn’t feel that remote as the spot you camped on was already taken! We had to pitch our tents on all the peat next to the trig points. A great night but the cleaning took a while the following day.

Yeah I guessed as much as that patch of grass was well flattened long before I arrived! I think there are one or two other spots close by but once I’d seen the spot by the stones I wasn’t going any further! I can only imagine the mess the peat threw up!

When I saw the title I did wonder if it would be somewhere like Margery Stones

Yeah it’s my best guess! Didn’t realise how popular a spot it is until I started researching it! Did have it all to myself though 😉
