(This is a lengthy story about ghost I hope you read this) Ghost (Lt. Simon Rhiley) has a very sad backstory. Born in Manchester, England, he endured an abusive and alcoholic father who tortured him every day, and a brother who scared him every night with a ghost mask. Eventually, he became exhausted and one day decided to move away from home and began to work in a meat shop. Upon hearing about a terrorist attack in the US, he was motivated to join the British army to escape his troubled home life. Excelling in military training, he became an expert in handling all weapons. One day, he decided to return home, only to find the situation had worsened. His father was having several affairs, his brother had become a drug addict, and his mother had become depressed. Seeing this, he decided to improve his family's condition before serving the country, so he took a long leave from the military. The first thing he did was to throw his father out of the house 😅. He took his brother to a de-addiction center, and it was successful; he recovered from the addiction and also helped him to get a job. His mother became happier, and now she could live a peaceful life. Simon decided to go back to the army and continue his service, then he joined the Special Air Service (SAS), the world's top special forces. Because of his great capabilities and skills, he was deployed in various secret operations across the world. One day, he was deployed in Mexico with US special forces to kill Mexican cartel drug lord Manuel Roba. He wore his signature skull mask to blend in with civilians celebrating the Day of the Dead, but unfortunately, he and his two comrades (Sparx and Washington) were captured and put into torture. Because of their mental toughness and capabilities, they decided to brainwash them to join their cartel group and offered a huge amount of money, but they rejected it. So, Roba decided to kill them. Sparx and Washington somehow managed to escape, leaving Ghost alone. Roba became angrier and tortured Simon (Ghost) hard, but he was tough enough to handle those tortures. Ghost was then buried alive near a general's grave; he began suffocating and found something in his hand. He dug out and escaped; then he noticed the thing in his hand was a skeletal jaw. This caused him mental trauma, and then he fell to the ground due to bleeding since he was severely wounded by the torture. He was then rescued by the US army and sent back to England after treatment. He was awarded military medals and honors. One day, when he was at a birthday party of his 7-year-old nephew, a man came to meet him; it was Sparx. Sparx invited Ghost to his hotel, and there they were having some talk. Suddenly, Simon noticed a change in Sparx's behavior; Sparx drew out his gun and pointed it towards Simon, but Simon immediately disarmed him, tied him up, and tortured him to collect information. He revealed that he and Washington had not escaped from the cartel, but they were brainwashed by the cartel, and they had been working for them to kill Ghost and his family. After hearing that, he immediately went back to his nephew's home only to see the whole house burning; he found everyone dead, including his mother, brother, and children, including his 7-year-old nephew, burned to death. This made him roar like a beast. He found out that it was done by Washington under the order of Manuel Roba. He captured Washington also and tortured both Washington and Sparx to death. Then he decided to kill and burn all the cartels under Roba himself, and he successfully did that. When he walked out of the burning building, he met a high-ranked military officer waiting outside. The officer told him that he couldn't go back to the world because the remaining cartels were looking for him to kill him. Then Simon decided to stay in the military, concealing all his identity, name, and past. From now on, he would be known as Ghost in military records. He covered his whole body so that nobody could even get his fingerprints.
That was the original mw games but not the rebooted series because I remember the devs said when this game came out they wanted to do a game specifically for Ghost

Graves is my favorite character in CoD MW II. I know he's a bad guy but he has an up and down attitude, meaning he's half good and half bad that reminds me of Zuko from Avatar: The last Airbender. That's why i like him

The reasoning for Shepherd and Graves being bad and the things they did, DO NOT MATCH UP, and it always upset me lol. I don't feel like they would have taken the drastic measures they did in this game, just for that. And tbh Shepherd did nothing wrong, he just asks for them to stand down, he never sectioned their killing.
You need to play the original trilogy MW, it's the masterpeace
