/// ABOUT US ///
Hi! We are Eric and Sarah, a couple of Canadians currently travelling around Ecuador. We’ve been married since 2017 but have known each other since we were only 6 years old! During our last year of university, we spent 4 months in Honduras on a semester abroad and fell in love with Latin America. Since then, we began planning and saving to do an extensive Latin America tour. 2020 delayed those plans by half a year but during this time stuck in BC, we explored a new hobby (like everyone in the pandemic) of videography and photography. We are now using our new skills to document our adventures around Ecuador. Our desire through these videos is to provide helpful and inspiring content for other travelers while also showing people around the world how beautiful and underrated Ecuador truly is! Thanks for following along and please leave a comment to say hi!

Sarah and Eric, this is so great! I can't believe that you jumped off the boat though. Great shots though and super video. Keep them coming!
Thank you 🥰 And we swear it wasn’t as dangerous as we made it sound 😉 We swam every night and no issues. Haha. Thanks for watching 💛
I watch many different YTers and your video, photography, editing and production value is on a whole other level. Your personalities make your video's enjoyable and when you put all that together it's a total win!

Lololol “why you always gotta make it weird” - love you two! Y’all are so fun to watch and do such a good job with these videos. I love seeing all the animals and learning the facts, plus the bloopers at the end are the very best! 💜
It wouldn’t be a true representation of Sarah if she wasn’t making it weird 😉 Thanks for always watching Fina! We’re SO glad you like them :)
Awesome!
Thanks for watching!!!
Amazing video guys. So many different animals.

You should go to the Amazon when you get the chance! You would love it!!
I'm so impressed you flew the drone from the boat. Did you have enough room to land it or did you catch it?
Eric has skills! He caught it by hand while on the boat :)
Thank you for an amazing video
Thanks for watching! :)
Crazy! Swimming with anacondas and crocodiles?! And I thought eating the ants was dangerous!!! 🤩
Hahaha it was safe when we swam. But we like to build the excitement 😉
lovely video! I wish to be in the amazon
Woow, that was beautiful!! I hope can go, I went to the Amazon from the Brazilian side and was amazing
Hey guys. Spectacular. Those drone shots were just amazing. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I have a 500mm zoom lens I plan to use for trips like that but heck how do you carry all the specialized equipment. Do you load down Sarah? Or does Eric carry it all lol. Your best video todate. Congratulations
Thanks Mike!! I’m sure you will take AMAZING photos with that zoom lens! We have an entire bag dedicated just to electronics 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽 Most of it ends up on Eric’s back. Thankfully we travel with a pretty small drone and camera body so it’s not as bad as it could be!
@@EricandSarah curious what laptop do you use to edit and produce your videos?
@@MichaelANelson Great Question! We both use Asus Laptops. One is an Asus Ultrabook, and the other is a 2-in-1 Vivobook. Respectively, i5 and i7 chip, 8GB and 12GB RAM, 237GB and 500GB SSD hard drives. We use Premiere Pro to edit and we make sure the Media Caches are deleted after 7 days of use so it doesn't have to use so much power to store caches. We use HDD External hard drives, but our workflow would probably be faster if we used SSD External Hard drives. They are more expensive, but way faster!
@@EricandSarah Thanks so much for all the detail. Cheers my friends.

Great video. I lived in the Peruvian Amazon near Iquitos for several months and it's such a beautiful place.
Oh so cool! We’ve heard Iquitos is amazing!

firts comment Im so happy congratulations the boom away
Wohoo! 🙌
You guys are are too cool and i love your videos.
Thank you!! 🥰
🤩
how important it is that people like you care about our country, and it doesn't matter to most of those who run our country, rich in everything and I don't understand why it doesn't stand out from the rest, Peru
I would recommend the Galapagos Islands, it's amazing!
When we went to Tena this summer , we didnt get to go deep in the jungle because we didnt have enough time, but still amazing place. The Peruvian amazon has much larger trees as large as tall buildings and super wide also.
🚨 Important: Peru usurped that part of Amazon from Ecuador in year 1942.
That jungle is on the eastern side of Ecuador.
Todos los rios de la region Amazonica ecuatoriana (o Region Oriental) desembocan en el Rio Marañon y en el Rio Amazonas.

Amazing video!!! You've been to parts of the country where I have yet to go. I'd be a little skeptical about jumping in that water though.. haha! Overall I'm in awe with the scenery and the footage you've taken there in the Amazon.
Thank you Dave!! The Amazon is such an amazing place! We couldn’t believe the footage we got either 🤯 Hope you make it there one day!
Yes yes Ecuador is Amazónico.
Hi guys just found your channel, we are going to Costa Rica in a couple of weeks, but already planning the next trip, so Equador Amazon and Galapagos next, so will be folliwing in your footsteps. Keep the vids coming, loving them , well done. What camera and lens are you using for video and are you hand holding them as its really smooth.
So awesome! Glad you found our channel. In this video we only had our Canon m50 (APS-C) with a kit lens (15-45) and Canon EF 55-250mm. We handhold everything! The key is sliding movements in one direction.
great i will try that
Visit the Amazon in Ecuador is definitely an amazing experience, we were just in Tena close to Quito, it’s not the deep jungle like Cuyabeno, but it was amazing as wel, we loved it 🥰
We’ve heard Tena is amazing too! Glad you enjoyed! ☺️
You guys are very brave, I wouldn't like to swim in that water.
We were assured it is very safe only where we jumped in :) Definitely would not go in the water anywhere else! Thanks for watching!
How many weeks were you two in Ecuador for all your excursions? Also do you have any hotel recs in Quito
We were in Ecuador for 6 months! We did move slow and enjoy many places for 3-4weeks… But you definitely can’t fit it all into a few week trip. We actually stayed at an Airbnb and then with friends in Quito so don’t have any recs. Sorry!
11:50 the best part 🥰🐬
We LOVED the dolphins!!
This kind of reminds me of the Florida Everglades. I spent a week canoeing through the dense mangroves and actually saw more dolphins than I did alligators.
Hey looks cool. Curious who yall did your tour with and if you’d recommend them? We’ve been told Ecuador is one of the better spots for the Amazon due to more wildlife. We are planning a trip so any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
i'm planing my trip to Ecuador and i'm watching all your videos. you are the sweetest couple, and your videos are so authentic and honest ... i hope you travel the world forever. i gotta ask: did the mosquitos not eat you?
Thank you! You’re too sweet ☺️ We surprisingly didn’t get eaten by bugs in the Amazon! Our guide said there was enough breeze and squirrel monkeys around Cuyabeno lodge to keep the mosquitos minimal. I think time of year probably made a big difference as well.
Esperando video de Galápagos
¡La próxima semana! 🙌
@@EricandSarah bacán!
Awesome video. Did you have internet at the amazon?
No! And it was wonderful :)
"Green Inferno" 😜
Do you recommend just trying to pack everything in a carry on for someone visiting 1-2 months?
We only have carry ons and it’s definitely doable! All depends how much you want to bring with. We like having small bags cause it’s easier to move around :)
Cry NatGeo.....here come Boms Wild Life
Haha should we start a nature show? :)
@@EricandSarah a travel book right away
OMG ERIC DON’T EAT the ants!! 😮 I’ve been binging on Galápagos videos (my dream trip) so to go from “don’t get within six feet of the animals” (even though the animals pretty much ignore you) to eating wild ants, then your guide setting a bug on fire?! You guys are crazy in all the best ways. 😂🎉
amazing place ,how much for a tour like this ?
Depends on the room and length of trip. If you click the link in the description to cuyabeno lodge, they have all the prices listed on their website!
ojalá todos quienes visiten este lugar de Ecuador pidieran a las autoridades del Gobierno para que no lo destruyan al dar permisos a empresa extranjeras para que talen nuestros árboles y saquen el petróleo .
You guys have any tips on tipping on this tour?
Tipping is obviously a very personal choice… but from what we read anywhere from $10-20/person/day for guide and $10-20/person/day to be split amongst staff is recommended depending on the service. Hope that helps!
@@EricandSarah thank you! Very helpful, we are hoping to finally be on our honeymoon in Ecuador in November. I have a months activities planned, so it is so fun watching your videos as I’m waiting in anticipation.
You both are a whole different level. I am not the one to pay attention to trivia... but you are soul material... sexy and alive, still with the heart in the right place .... and so botanical ..... the range of tree species bowl me over as well...
Hi guy's I have to ask, is there any Miskito's? I want to plan a trip exactly at Cuyabeno but my partner is allergic to the Miskito's? Thanks for the video it makes me want to go even more!!
All you need is Ecuador

Lol they never saw a real Canadian police :D
I mean we are Canadian haha

Good video, but just to be clear; you were not 'deep' in the Amazon Jungle.
When we were there, most travellers visited Teña. So in comparison, this was deep in the jungle as it is the furthest point tourists can visit in the Ecuadorian Amazon :)
