I’m sorry. It feels like the world should stop doesn’t it. Or sometimes that they are just in the other room. I lost my son in February, he was 21. Sending you hugs and held hand while we cry xxx
This video will be part of RUclips Archives for the next 40 years. Many people, including me, will be long dead, but future generations can still watch this video. What a blessing.
I was born to this song. First complicated delivery at a brand new birth center in Baltimore. The doctor and staff were about to give up on resuscitation when my mother began to sing this. She felt a gust of wind pass her shoulder and I finally took my first breath. Not knowing this until I was much older, I became fascinated with medical care. I spent my late teens and my 20s as a paramedic, trying to repay the favor to those that helped. ♥
"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
No matter what religion we belong to, this song is made for all of us . TIMELESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unforgettable and PEACEFUL . Bravo to Eleanor Farjeon. I forgot the most important,my compliments to the beautiful voice of Orla Fallon.
YEARS AGO I HAD A DREAM ABOUT THIS SONG, THE NEXT MORNING I FOUND THIS , IT WAS THE SONG IN MY DREAM, THANK YOU, FATHER. BLESS YOU AND YOUR'S AND ALL. HALLAIALOUIA, THANK YOU LORD FOR THE SONG AND THE NEW DAY. AMEN & AMEN...😊💜💛💜
Let me praise thee the way thy loves best by shining on those around me, let me preach thee not by words but by my example , the catching force of what I do Mother Teresa.
So did I. Used to love this beautiful song when we sang it in assembly. The tune and words paint such a picture of freshness, peace, hope and joy. Coming out of lockdown and making a new friend at the same time I feel the innocent pleasure of God’s blessing like I was a kid again. “Blessed are the pure in heart”. God can heal broken hearts 💔👉❤️👫
Looking at the scenes in this video my thoughts go to Psalm 19 (the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth his handiwork ) I sang this at school, I'm 72 now and have been spared to continue working with my trowel. God's recreation of the new day is not lost on me, "his mercies are new every morning"( Lamentations 2:22.23) Blessed be his name!
4 years ago I had a dream about the sun and birds, I love birds. Upon waking I found this song. All day I played it. I DANCED around like a child outside in the sunshine. Thank You for this. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL.😊💛💖💛ENJOY EVERYONE.
This song have me thinking about the wonders of God's creation. A new day every morning and i love to watch the birds hunting for their daily meal in morning, at noon and in evening time before it gets to dusk. The wonders of God's creation is turtle amazing.
This praise and worship sweet melody has remained a mark for me for ages thanks so much Cat Stevens for such a beautiful track..thinking of the goodness of the Lord
Thanks to Cat Steven for recording it in 1971 and making it popular. The hymn goes back to 1931 , when it was first published.. The words are by English author Eleanor Farjeon and was inspired by the village of Altriston in East Sussex, then set to a traditional Scottish Gaelic tune Bunessan. Oxford University Press included it in children's hymn section in 1957.
Thank you very much ! I have not stopped listening, singing and praising since yesterday (when my friend forwarded it to me) ! A very sweet and poignant reminder for us to always praise and thank God, our loving Creator ! Praise God !!
Morning has broken like the first morning Blackbird has spoken like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for them springing fresh from the world Sweet the rains new fall, sunlit from Heaven Like the first dewfall on the first grass Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden Sprung in completeness where His feet pass Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning Born of the one light, Eden saw play Praise with elation, praise every morning God's recreation of the new day Morning has broken like the first morning Blackbird has spoken like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for them springing fresh from the world
And it reminds me of my morning assemblies at St Mary's church of England primary school in Hendon Lane Church End Finchley London N3 when I was a little boy in the 1970s with Mr Hudson leading the morning assembly and Mrs Warren-Green playing the piano accompaniment. Those times inspired my Christian faith and confidence in the Bible and the religion of Christendom.

Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rains new fall, sunlit from Heaven
Like the first dewfall on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
Thanks for providing these lyrics! Just a heads up, on the 4th line, the words are actually "Praise for the springing fresh from the Word!"
“The Word” and that Word is God (Jesus Christ). Praise God! 🙂
@@Hylian_Reploid Actually the original words which appear in many Hymn Books were "Praise for them, springing" as detailed above.
@@StuartPoore Oh okay, that works too!
