Just look it up on google. Remember GIV they don't LAST long. Plus I'm so HAPPY your sweet mom is better. I had an anxiety disorder for one year after I overworked myself, my mom for 2 years after her mother's death. Escitalopram helped in short but not long term.I recently learnt we both deal with histamine intolerance. After a change in diet anxiety mostly disappeared. If people are repeatedly dealing with anxiety they should check for histamine intolerance. Especially stress increases histamine and the DAO enzyme that breaks it down doesn't work well for many people..

It’s a very old European belief to be taught to just suck it up during difficult times, but we end up going through fear all alone instead of being honest about our feelings and getting supported by others. As the granddaughter of three Polish grandparents (two were holocaust survivors) and the great granddaughter of Lithuanians, we were taught not to express certain emotions. Glad you’re sharing- it breaks barriers from the past. There’s no shame in fear or any other feeling. You do what feels right in your moment of need - if that means making videos or taking a stroll around Lynn, go for it. Sending my support to you and my best to your mom from NYC!

Having a sick close family member is sadly something that most of us have to face (not that that makes it any better), and I know from experience that it can be distressing and difficult. Mike, I am 54 yrs old and I have struggled with exstream anxiety all my life. I mi@ed so much school that I got expelled for too many days missed lol...what? I was always on medication. Hi good your mom is doing ok. I'm 64 I lost my mom 2 years now. I was with her the last 10 years of her life now it's just me my cat see grand kids every once in a while. I get very nervous and have anxiety I had a quadruple bypass in June on my birthday I do have a pfychiatrist and take 1/2 gram of risperidone it helps a little. My mom was 102 years old and i'm kind of lost with out her so love your mom and stay around with her as much as you can. Love you man I always watch your videos and thumbs up. I have very bad anxiety and when i start to have a panic attack, the best thing to do is try and get my mind on something else. I know easier said than done, but it helps me❤
This is so true. You've got to redirect that energy. I work with young children in the hospital who have upper respiratory issues. To assist them with regulating their breathing, I will bring in different lights and show screens of colors and water displays. Things they can focus on to distract from the fear that they are experiencing due to their breathing issues. It works really well.

Absolutely right when you say, nobody talks about stress, anxiety, and panic attacks. some people react differently by drinking or using other means. truth is only you have the key. Ride them out and talk to the situation, close the door to those feelings in your brain, by rejecting them. It works for me.
Good morning Mike. Yes I have anxiety, adhd and ptsd. I always wake up in middle of the night. I can’t sleep well. I am always anxious. I had 2 panic attacks in the past about 7 years ago. It walks very scary and I was freaking out. I am way better. For anxiety avoid sugar and processed foods they are linked to malignancy worse. I hope u mom gets better soon. Keep us updated. I read the Morrison Hotel hadn't been occupied for 10 years prior to the fire, it was a vacant building, homeless/squatters were living there, they probably lit a fire inside to keep warm and the whole thing burned down, tell your Mom Hi, glad she's feeling better and is at home
Anxiety is caused from stress. I’ve had it a while now. Sounds like you’ve figured out the best thing to do is keep busy. I try not to dwell on the anxious feeling. I just remind myself it’s a normal feeling from stress. I’m glad your Mom is better. Thanks for the beautiful video. 😊

You are very courageous. Anxiety attacks are not uncommon. I used to have them when flying. A psychologist relative told me that the anxiety is due to the fear of getting those physical symptoms, not the fear of the problem. When you realize you can control those symptoms like racing heart, sweaty palms, fast breathing, etc., then you realize you are in control. Basically deep breathing technique by inhaling slowly through the nose, and exhaling slowly through your mouth. Do a tightening and releasing of muscles from your feet and up. Also, any calming music to listen to with headphones helps too. It actually worked for me so hope it helps. I hope your mom continues to do well. Your loving support is so important to her.

I have very bad anxiety and when i start to have a panic attack, the best thing to do is try and get my mind on something else. I know easier said than done, but it helps me❤
This is so true. You've got to redirect that energy. I work with young children in the hospital who have upper respiratory issues. To assist them with regulating their breathing, I will bring in different lights and show screens of colors and water displays. Things they can focus on to distract from the fear that they are experiencing due to their breathing issues. It works really well.

I'm feeling the same at this point in my life, anxious about the uncertainty of my future. Sometimes it's tough being a lone wolf....be with your Mom, even if she doesn't know you're there (I say this from experience).

Absolutely right when you say, nobody talks about stress, anxiety, and panic attacks. some people react differently by drinking or using other means. truth is only you have the key. Ride them out and talk to the situation, close the door to those feelings in your brain, by rejecting them. It works for me.
Good morning Mike. Yes I have anxiety, adhd and ptsd. I always wake up in middle of the night. I can’t sleep well. I am always anxious. I had 2 panic attacks in the past about 7 years ago. It walks very scary and I was freaking out. I am way better. For anxiety avoid sugar and processed foods they are linked to malignancy worse. I hope u mom gets better soon. Keep us updated. I read the Morrison Hotel hadn't been occupied for 10 years prior to the fire, it was a vacant building, homeless/squatters were living there, they probably lit a fire inside to keep warm and the whole thing burned down, tell your Mom Hi, glad she's feeling better and is at home
Anxiety is caused from stress. I’ve had it a while now. Sounds like you’ve figured out the best thing to do is keep busy. I try not to dwell on the anxious feeling. I just remind myself it’s a normal feeling from stress. I’m glad your Mom is better. Thanks for the beautiful video. 😊

Everyting you say happened to me in the time my mother was old and alone in Suriname. I live in Holland and always I was stand-by in something happened to her. If my telefoon ring if makes me crazy bacause the stress feeling is ferry bad. This is what happened when you are the only Child.

You are very courageous. Anxiety attacks are not uncommon. I used to have them when flying. A psychologist relative told me that the anxiety is due to the fear of getting those physical symptoms, not the fear of the problem. When you realize you can control those symptoms like racing heart, sweaty palms, fast breathing, etc., then you realize you are in control. Basically deep breathing technique by inhaling slowly through the nose, and exhaling slowly through your mouth. Do a tightening and releasing of muscles from your feet and up. Also, any calming music to listen to with headphones helps too. It actually worked for me so hope it helps. I hope your mom continues to do well. Your loving support is so important to her.

Mike, I had terrible anxiety, impending doom and fear when my mom was sick. It's normal. When I heard you talking about it I was so impressed with your honesty. Thank you for being so honest. We're all human and it's good to hear someone else talk about there feelings. It does make you feel better to get those feelings out.
