One of life's underrated pleasures is sitting down with a cup of coffee and watching one of your superb restoration videos. This one was especially satisfying. When you revealed early on that the heating elements were not salvageable, I was particularly interested in how you were going to fabricate new ones. Talk about a labor of love! And throughout the video I was hoping against hope that you might restore it to functional condition and actually show it in operation. You did not disappoint - thank you!

Great work! Just a quick note- looks like you used plumber's PTFE tape on the gas jet. For future products using gas fuel, I recommend you use the gas-rated PTFE. It's typically pale yellow in a yellow spool instead of white tape in a blue spool. It's rated for higher temperatures (and is a little thicker) so won't break down if that gas jet pipe heats up.

I guess it would of been too much to hope for that those diffusers were readily available in a catalog! Really solid work!

I'm curious how well the auto body resin holds up to the heat! This one is stunning. Fantastic work.

that would be 光明 then, however nowadays usually it would be written koumyou or kōmyō. Leaving out the u or using "o" instead of "ō" is just laziness and can lead to misunderstandings, only among the crowd who can actually tell the difference though.

Incredible job, remaking the diffuser plates, or whatever the technical term, for them is.
What a great little bit of kit. 👍👍👍
