Neil is so above the Rock n Roll HOF....he is the pinnacle of what a musician/artist should be
He is. Everyone knows the rock hall here in Cleveland is ran by a bunch of nerds who put in the bands they think are important. They screwed over Judas priest by giving them like an alternate award. They couldn't give them the same thing as black Sabbath and all the other metal bands who wouldn't even be here if not for priest.
Anybody who doesn't think that Neil belongs in the Rock & Roll HOF is just freakin crazy!!! NOBODY rocks like Neil & his Band!!! 👑🏆🥇🌟💖
Keep in mind he’s like 71 years old here and he’s still showing how it should be done. I think without the Parkinson’s diagnosis he’d still be out there rocking.

I was born after his major heyday(1980. My generation still appreciated him. I loved this man's music. He was an amazing performer.
His heyday was 1972 when he recorded Hot August Night. So sad he no longer writes good songs.
Such a timeless song. He sings it so convincingly from age 27 to age 70+. And that band--none better!!

Neil, I have to say when I heard you singing for the first time I fell in love with your voice. When I saw you at the Palace in Auburn Hill, MI I fell deeply in love with you, back in 1992 or 1993. You made a comment the lady with the red suit on this is for you and you blew me a kiss. I stood up and pointed at myself and said me, you replied YES darling. You made my heart beat so fast and so happy, THANK YOU. I was married, but shortly later we divorced. I am hoping you come to Michigan so I can see you again, meanwhile I listen to your music every day sense. I hope you recover from your Parkinson Disease, Love you
I really like his music and his voice too,however I did not know he has Parkinson's,there is no cure as yet but I do hope he is doing well!

Some of his band members have been with him 20-30 years. So they actually matured with him. It also proves what a great guy he is, since they stick with him.

I notice many artists don't have the voice they had 30 years ago. Niels voice has never faded not has his music. He is still as outstanding as he was when he first started singing. His voice reminds me of my dad who passed recently. He could sing Niels songs almost as well. God Bless Niel Diamond .

That's right! Reinie Press on bass, Alan Lindgren and Tom Hensley on keyboards, Doug Rhone on guitars, Linda Press (Reinie's wife) on choirs and King Errisson on percussions worked with Neil since 1970's!!!!
I find a piece of myself in all his songs. He makes me happy. That’s his goal for his fans! Mission accomplished. An absolute Rock n’Roll legend if there ever was one. ❤

Neil’s drummer and bongo / percussion player for decades were Ronnie Tutt and King Errison. Ronnie drummed with Elvis and King Errison is the “Bongo” in the Incredible Bongo Band. Go look up the IBBs “Apache”. He is sampled on more hip hop tracks than you can possibly imagine! Both incredible musicians…

Neil Diamond is probably one of the greatest performers of all time if not the GOAT. The longevity he’s displayed is absolutely mind boggling. Most people like Paul Stanley from KISS for example push on way further than they should. In his case like 15 years or more.

If there was ever a person I wanted to be is Neil Diamond. I have followed and aged with him all of my life with his music songs and talent. I could never imagine life without him. To say I love this man is an understatement, in a brotherly way of course. Thank the good Lord for Neil Diamond!

Saw Neil in concert twice and the man is out of this world entertainer. We are so lucky to have this great presentation on YT.
I apologise for the length of this but my experience with Neil started back in 1974 as a 4 year old. My Father came back from a Rugby League Kangaroo tour with a tape of Hot August Night..... I memorised that tape. Move forward to 1992 and Neil came back to Australia and it was amazing. I got the chance to take my father to a show to say thanks. The next 6 tours I arranged groups of friends to attend and we loved it and most special was in 2015 when my great mate and I took his daughter and my son to see this genius who obviously loved what he was doing. Nearing the end of the show my 15 year old son just walked up and gave me a hug and said " Thank You"
My only disappointment is my younger son missed the next tour due to Neil's illness.
The man adores his crowd and makes you feel you are special. This man has bought more people together than he could imagine.
Please stay well as my family ponder which of the 40 + magnificent songs we can listen to.

Loved the way he teased the audience by starting out with a few vaguely familiar but discordant chords then went into the much loved song. The audience loved it. Great showmanship!

Won tickets to this from KABC radio the week before, caught the flu, gave tickets to a friend, he and his wife will owe me FOREVER.
The words sung by Neil Diamond in the song that alludes to "The Miserable", in fact, serves very well for me.
But the 'good' Neil does to me when I hear it, sometimes for a long time, is worth more.
When I hear him sing I move to my good 18/20 years (70's) and I can relive the dream I dreamed back then, and it makes me feel alive.

@@cywoods60 Ditto. It's funny, the first time we saw him was at the state fair grandstand, maybe in 1974? There were still tickets available, for $5.00, do my parents, sister and I went. But I'm so thankful I took my mom to his concert back in the 90's; something she wouldn't have wanted to go to, with all the crowds and walking. But she loved it, I did too. Not too many years later, I remember sitting with her in ICU, with tears singing a few lines of "Sweet Caroline", one of her favorites.
We are still rocking all these years My wife and I was blessed to have seen this tour thank goodness for all the videos.

Neil Diamond was in 1977, four days on Tour in Netherland.there were problems with the Hammond organ (117 Volt America-Europe 220 Volt) I'm approached by Lou van Rees Management for a solution to my Hammond Rent.After four days I got my B3 Hammond returned with Fire spots of Cigarettes.It frustrated me.They have me removed me from the Neil Diamond Fan Club because I had this listed on their site.Never Excuse of Neil Diamond ☹️🎹'

Words faile me as I try to describe the joy this performance gives me. What a G.I.F.T.E.D......and by that I mean God gave us this amazing gift.......composer/player/singer. It's hard to imagine how incredible the band they got in heaven: David, Stevie Ray, Elvis, George Harrison, Jimi.......
