Minimax looks like amazing to animate but like you said, little ergonomic amplitude
Minimax need to add start and end Frames. Also need to disable talking by default. When people need talking, they can prompt "talking" or add lip sync feature.
You read my mind! I was just going to search MiniMax vs Runway Gen 3! Yes! MiniMax still produces excellent prompt response and motion, color and images. Now I really need to do some lip sync with those videos. But relatively cheaply. Another great comparison video from you! Thanks.
Hey Tao, thanks so much for sharing the time/money spent on these video generators. IMHO, Minimax from a neutral standpoint cinematically has the most going for it. These companies are going to keep adding more features, get bought out etc, but from your presentation there's two things that stand out to me that make Minimax the most intriguing. Aside from prompt/artifact stability, it's the easing and gamma/color. Minimax's sense of camera motion is very natural and the elements in space are spatially connected in terms of depth, very fluid. It would be great if that can be adjusted in time (quad, expo etc) with further developments. The second is gamma (b/w) and color. It comes from a neutral origin. Just like in MidJourney, it's more gray/flat so you can add in adjustments like saturation instead of having to undo anything done in addition to flatter the image. Yeah, it might look great without editing, but what if you want to? Hey, since you can describe film stock, I'm wondering if you could tell it to render as LOG footage (lol). Thanks again!
Kling must add unlimited option, its the biggest downside for me. As a long video creator, i need that option otherwise i will overpay their system, thats why im still going with runway. Im creating at least 15 min videos right now (imagine finishing 15 fast hours on midjourney within 10 days). Runway's unlimited is slower than credit using generation, but its still very fast. I heard they will update their prompting issues very soon btw, so i think im going for runway for sometime (if minimax release huge update i will definetly go for it) And about color issues, its not an issue for me because im always rearranging the colors after the generations. And huge thanks Tao, love you and your content mate. You will be 500K in 1 and a half years max (screenshot this for future proof ;) )

Tried both MiniMax and Runway. MiniMax so far. I did not like how the default setting on Runway's $35 monthly paid plan still shows their logo. Also the tech support was slow and I don't need to know the pronouns of the tech support people.

Tao, please tell me about Vidu and Haiper, I have had better results with them for some videos, Vidu follows the commands very well, and Haiper has great results and quality
Minimax was great until they slapped on a bunch of brainless censorship. "Candy drops from the sky. Some kids catch the candy." was censored. I finally got the prompt through when I changed "Children" or "Kids" to "Men". The thing being censored was the concept of CHILDREN. I hope that a new competitor comes (maybe not in China?) that blows Kling and Minimax away without that weird censorship. I did the same prompt on Kling, and it went through, but a picture of Jim Carrey covered in blood did not. If they expect studios to use these at some point, they're not gonna be able to censor blood. I had Kristen Bell in a bloody dress and it worked, but it interpreted the blood as free flowing pieces of fabric, so it fluttered as she walked. It was kind of fascinating. It's weird how amazing these videos can be at times, and then I get complete garbage at other times.
Censorship is annoying to deal with. However, there are some open-sourced video models out there like the new Mochi 1 model which won't have the censorship issues with closed-source models
I primarily use Kling and Minimax. It’s hit or miss with both, but the chances with Minimax doing something weird with hands is greater than the others. You’re wasting a lot of credits when it does that. I don’t mind when the output is slow motion. I can fix that in my movie editor.
Of course it's then more expensive after you speed up the video! For example: it needs to speed up 3 x, then an originally 10 sec. video is shrinked to about 3.33 secs ... so you have generate another video(s) then ... That means you're wasting a lot of credits too.
@ it’s not a waste if it’s a generation that’s useable. Warping, and weird movement is unusable At any speed, which makes me have to do multiple generations before it gives me something that I want.
@@Jamaicafunk What I meant was this: You need a 10 second video... You're lucky and use a generator that generates a good video the first time and at the right speed. Now you use Kling, which also produces a good video right away, but it's too slow. You have to speed it up three times. That means you still have a third of the 10 second video available. You have to fill up the rest with credits. If I had been lucky and the ten second video had been created with Kling both well and at the right speed, it would of course have been cheaper.
Runway does still have a motion brush but only available in Gen 2. You do great videos! It's so nice that you keep them compact and totally to the point. You get more in 5 to 10 minutes than many do in 30 minutes! I have gone with Runway for now because of the unlimited plan. But pay monthly so I can change at any time. I tried Minimax maybe a few weeks ago and my Virus scan (McAfee) kept saying there were viruses. So I gave up. Will go try again and hopefully won't get that this time.
That's true, Gen 2 does have the motion brush! I wonder why they haven't added it to Gen 3 yet, I'm sure people would use it. It's weird minimax is alerting your antivirus, I use chrome and haven't had any issues with that.

Amazing video Tao, thanks for sharing this
I appreciate that man, I've wanted to do a comparison vid for a while
@@taoprompts 😅me too, In fact I already did it some comparison. I agree with you in most topics.
Really great comparison. I find it really hard to decide which is best because it seems that every day one has a slight edge over the other as they add new features.
Thanks! By the end of 2025, the best ai video tools might be totally different 👍
Which image generator do u use?
Mostly Midjourney
are kling allowed commercial use?
I think if you have a paid plan it's fine
Hedra AI is best Lip Sync IMO
I've heard Hedra works well also 👍
Too bad the minimax is fps25. there is no fps30 setting, is there?
I don't think there's anyway to change the fps
Tao, please tell me about Vidu and Haiper, I have had better results with them for some videos, Vidu follows the commands very well, and Haiper has great results and quality
I haven't tried those out much myself
Great I think minimax is the best option for most realistic
They have the best animations imo
@@taoprompts
Hello, I'm new here. How can I create a sequence of the videos I generate, or do I have to edit it myself every 6 seconds?
I want to fuse animals from image to video using runwayml, any solution, prompt,?
Using paid version
try this video from Mr. lemon: ruclips.net/video/I8to22cwNxU/видео.htmlsi=-JjB0dnYh3R4VtC4
@taoprompts not working well, every different prompts work,no specific prompts working for it using runwayml,
Tutorial for this using runwayml
If you're generating nature like animals, which one would be better?
So sad Luma not in the comparison list😢
I haven't used Luma much lately, it seems like they haven't updated too much
Kling is good❤❤❤
They keep adding new features!
Fantastically helpful, thanks very much 😊
Thanks Haydn, I'd be interested to see your take on Minimax also 👍
Sir I'm from Pakistan. How i can sign in at minimax. Please tell me
Minimax was great until they slapped on a bunch of brainless censorship.
What about krea
from what I've seen, it's not as good
Doesnt it have runway and minimax and others all in one
Warping, and weird movement is unusable
At any speed, which makes me have to do multiple generations before it gives me something that I want.
Hmm, I've had more luck with Minimax than Kling for human animations. Although both struggle when the hands are small inside the image frame
@ Kling has been unreliable recently.
It was very interesting and useful video. you are the best. 💥💥💥
Thanks Sean! I appreciate you 👊🔥
I would say Kling's lipsync is the best but their audio flagging makes it next to useless
I've heard a lot of people getting censored with the audio files right now
Thanks brother! Nice comparison. I subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for subbing man!
AMAZING!! Thank you!
WOW! Great work, thanks a lot, you have a new subscriber!
Thanks for subbing!
I agree with your entire assessment!
Great to hear you have the same thoughts! I'm planning on testing out other AI videos as well 👍
@@taoprompts Amazing - looking forward to them!
Minimax should be called greatmax
Agreed! It's a great platform
How about Luma? Why didn't you test it?
Luma isn't as good as these other three in my experience
Hi thanks for your very nice videos. The question is: All these videos that pets want to make, what kind of attribution do they have? They are recreational videos, because if all the users wanted to make Distribute their videos to American producers, there would be no room for everyone. So: who are these thousands of videos that everyone wants to make believing they are all directors for? Bye.
100% agree, great video.Tthanks...
Totally agree!!
I got scammed once for buying after watching one of these videos. though minimax is good
It sucks you got scammed. Minimax, Kling, Runway are all legit tools
DONT BUY MINIMAX!!! Horrible
time to unsubscribe to runway
Runway is falling behind I think
Runway is pure shit, 200$ wasted.
From watching this runway is trash.
It's the weakest compared to Kling or MInimax
I'm done with AI apps, there's still a long road ahead to make an impression on main stream media
Kling has good tech but hopeless business support
They are improving very fast, by the end of 2025 they will be really lifelike
Minimax is great but you cant able to create 2d animation
I plan to try some more 2d animation videos
music video create video
Incredible😳👍🏻
