It’s not drive by’s and drill music, it’s like a bathtub having a torso in it or a corpse left in a park missing its head. No one hears about it. It’s insane. The language, citizenship and culture barrier basically makes 2 DMV’s. There was a body found a mile from my house and a mile from my high school which was mutilated so badly his limbs were dangling off and people who lived 5 minutes from the park had literally no idea it had even happened. Kids join MS-13 and become ghosts, they just drop off the face of the earth then years later you occasionally here “so and so? Yeah he killed someone” and if you didn’t grow up with Salvadorans, you’d never even know the guy existed. I had friends who lived in mansions with lawyer parents and friends who were smuggled here by coyotes when they were 9 then joined MS-13. It never really occurred to me how insane it was till I got to college
