I used to live next to Fairfax, although it is a wealthy area there are gangs of every race and background there which is not something you would expect when you see the area

I was born in DC in 1971 & grew up in Alexandria Va.,we didn’t have a lot of $$$$ so I spent a good deal of time in the streets as a kid,Northern Va. was much,much different back then….the city of Alexandria had 5-6 different housing projects & big projects….some were temp housing for workers during WW 2 & later converted into public housing….Fairfax Co was the country to us….shit my grandparents lived on Victoria Rd & now I see that by 2012 or so there’s gang activity?
