great review! I admire the level of detail of this brand! But there is something that worries me a lot, is it the quality of the stock electronics, esc, battery, servo, were these 3 components designed to last long periods of use? Can Fms live up to axial, gmade, kyosho or traxxas in terms of electronic quality? Is Fms a 100% Chinese brand? Is your electronics made to last many gaming sessions? Great contribution!
This is indeed a great review. All of your questions and concerns regarding this vehicles internal electronics are very valid and that was my concern too after getting one. Have had one since mid July and until recently have only run it off and on indoors without any issues. Took it out for a very short 'trial' test run and was surprised by how well it does on very steep trails and uneven surfaces. However, wanting to be prepared for longer run times, I ordered a few sets or rechargeable batteries for the radio remote as well as a 7.4 2S 900mah FMS battery for the vehicle itself. It barely fits and it is very snug but works and since it's heavier helps with center of gravity and prevents tipping or rolling over easily. Got it out on the hiking trails for 'real world' runs and the good: almost 2 hrs run time without having to swap any batteries. Super slow and very torquey low speed gearing for steep crawling over stones, gravel, dirt and short dry grass. Good soft rubber, grippy tires with realistic tread pattern that works surprisingly well. The bad: the small screw that attaches the hi/low gear link to the rod came out but I used a small wire to reattach everything, but found that sometime the low gear doesn't engage when switching back n forth, which disengages the gears altogether in low allowing the vehicle to roll freely and possibly into potential danger if not in a safe secure location. That definitely needs to be addressed. Need more time and more runs to find more faults and traits but overall I'm very happy and satisfied with this little Jimmy!
@@carlm8821 Thanks for your contribution friend! What you say is very constructive! I am really impressed by the execution time of almost 2 continuous hours! This speaks of good quality of the esc! I have had wl toy cars and after 5 minutes the stock variator burns out, I am very impressed by the time of use, we hope you continue to tell us about the execution time and durability of the esc, servo :) greetings friend

@@radrobloxchannel7318 its neither but all electronics are high in chassis but if u get it apart to get to the electronics u can coat the esc/rx unit with modified silicone conformal coating to waterproof it to water proof servos ull need to disassemble the servo and conformal coat the microchip inside it
@@radrobloxchannel7318 i havnt entirely submerged the rig yet but i conformal coated everything as described from the start and it was out fpv driven in the snow all winter
Absolutely awesome! I put the perfect one 12 figure inside mine! It fitted perfectly inside! The Mezco Vapor figure looks awesome in it!👌😎👍

So is this waterproof straight out of the box?
No but the esc/reciever and motor is halfway up the truck
