Bumped K.I.D.S, Blue Slide Park and Macadelic during those carefree summerdays when I was 15-17 and then matured alongside his next works. Watching movies and G.O.O.D A.M where my first years of college and I could always fall back on Faces and Swimming during dark times. And although Circles was his last work, for me it coincided with me breaking free from my depression. So much of my memories line up with his discography, and I can see why it's the same for many people born in the '90's. We grew up alongside him. R.I.P. to the homie!

@@reecesydenham3972 I would skip trough his albums chronologically and see what you like. That way you can hear his evolution as an artist. His first projects are mostly him goofing around as a teen, but they do have some dope tracks. It's all rap though, just like Macadelic and Watching Movies yet those two projects are a bit more mature of content, good AM is a great rap album too. Faces and the projects he did under the names Larry Fisherman and Larry Lovestein are more psychedelic and experimental hiphop based records. The divine feminine, swimming an circles contain more funky / jazzy / sing a songwriter type of tracks. Those last three also show how incredible his production skills are, as he made a lot of the beats and plays most of the instrumts himself. He's also got a lot of dope verses on other peoples records. Hope you enjoy his shit!
@@reecesydenham3972 if you go through his catalog in order you can really see the evolution as an artist. KIDS and BDE are his two most popular mixtapes still holding true to the college stoner vibes he started out on while having snippets of serious subject matter. Blue Slide Park isnt one of my favorites but its bc it came at a time that I was getting bored of the stoner music.
Macadelic is a serious shift in tones to a more serious and mature style of music. Watching Movies is such a dark album which he never really dabbled with until that point, such a good one and for those who didnt listen to Macadelic which was a tape, was their introduction to the serious side of Mac. GO:OD AM is probably the easiest album he had released for people to get into. It has the hype tracks, the serious tracks, couple of hits, and is probably the best album if you are trying to get into him. Between WMWTSO and GOODAM came Faces which is in my opinion his best work. Might be my favorite mixtape of all time and deserves to be on all streaming services. Faces is that tape that leaves me SPEECHLESS.
The Divine Feminine was a shift in Mac. He was more about his heart by this point, he wanted to explore the idea of love and it was beyond being romantic. It was the knowledge that was bestowed upon him by women that he surrounded himself with through his life. Swimming, the last album before he passed feels the most different from all his albums. Its almost slow while maintaining a specific energy throughout that has Mac self analyzing himself. It also has the best intro track of his catalog. Lastly, Circles. The posthumous album. Its beautiful. Its amazing. Its arguably my favorite from him and I highly suggest you listen to it following a listen to Swimming. Circles and Swimming should be left for the end of your listen through his discog if you end up listening to it.
He has some other tapes and EPs as well but this is probably the most the notable list. Its the highlights and is everything is under the name of "Mac Miller." He has more under the names of Larry Fisherman, Larry Lovestein and Delusional Thomas.

Man the way Mac Miller transformed over the years is insane. Swimming and Circles are amazing albums with beautiful instrumentals. Tear jerking songs. RIP Mac forever will be missed

Brand Name, Diablo, the whole Swimming album, random tunes like Buttons that came out just before Swimming, lots of stuff off Macadelic, Watching Movies With The Sound Off and The Divine Feminine. People listen to random songs like Donald Trump and they either want to listen to more or are turned off. Personally I like his early stuff, not as much as his later works, but some of the real early stuff is feel good. Check out Swimming, Good AM and Faces for tunes though, some of my favourites!

Grew up outside of Pittsburgh. Mac played a big part in my childhood. First celebrity death that kind of hit me.
This was the song that blew up Max Miller. I was in 8th grade at the time. And let me tell you, all the high schoolers were bumping this song non stop lol
My opinion: Mac Miller will always be one of the top white rappers of all time. Not because of his records or play time on the radio, but from his lyrics in each one of his songs meaning something important or as a fun song. From changing to different styles throughout the years of 2009-till his death and his last album. We shall listen to his music all day in 4 days to pay respects as the 2 years since he has left this earth celebrating his life and his achievements with love to everyone.
Bless Mac Miller for everything that has helped myself and multiple other people with his music and love.
