I lived in Worcester from 2001 to 2011 & i haven’t been there since September 2012. I literally grew up here & i used to skateboard this entire city with my friends so seeing all these streets all over again definitely brought back memories! I used to go to Worcester Tech up in green hill , i need to go back just for nostalgia lol thanks for the vid!
U should do a video of the area around wpi. I always used to think the homes around there were some of the most beautiful around. Id be curious to see what the area is like nowadays id assume its even nicer now than it was back then with how the rest of the city has turned around.
Where are all the people? Eery. I've thought this every time I've been to Worcester... second biggest city in the state, all these huge buildings and skyscrapers, and there's like 1 person outside. It's eery. Like who actually uses all that building space??? There's no people! Very strange place. If it wasn't documented I wouldn't believe it was in the top 5 most populated places in Mass. Even towns like Peabody you go outside and there's lots of people around, shopping, walking, doing people things. This is the busiest I've ever seen worcester in this vid
I've lived in Worcester my entire life, like the rest of the country, its best days are in the rear view mirror. I'm just wondering, are you some wealthy/unemployed person with so much time on your hands that you have to drive around this ghost town?
Lifetime resident of the city. Don't know that I would consider heading out Pleasant Street to West Street to Highland Street as being part of downtown. But it was fun to watch!
That's my car parked at 10:34 lol. Worcester literally goes from being high traffic to a dead/twilight zone during the day. Especially during the Summer when the colleges are not in session. That whole area was depressed really bad a few years back and they have rebuilt it back up but it's twice the price now too. Worcester isn't the worst or the best city but it's too expensive because of it and because it's location to other cities. There are cities that are worse or nicer in other words or the same that don't cost nearly as much. I get why too. It's massachusetts and because people have been here 100's of years and worcester is literally a cross section of republican values with liberal politics and for every baby step they make the prices go up. It's a working class town and everyone wants their two cents.
Aside from the Courthouse and DCU Center, have they built anything new Downtown? I'm all for historic preservation, but much of Worcester looks stuck in the past.
American cities are so depressing. Where are all the people?! Everything is designed around a tool that sits in a parking spot for 99% of the day. Why on Earth do you want to live that way?!
I think America just have too much land, and not as many people. So everything is more spread out, with a few exceptions like NYC or Boston. So things are more car-centric.

I know, right? How do you make it on to the 100 most dangerous cities in the United States without people on the streets? Baffling.

What parts of town are the bad areas?
Hello from Front St! I love this weird, shitty, trying its best town.
I’ve drove through this whole area
The fact Worcester still uses police crown Vic’s and taxi crown Vic’s makes me happy

Very nice looking city
I wish I could go back and live in Worcester but my condition doesn't let me live in the cold
Does it snow there a lot?
@ShepherdMinistry not in Texas but I just miss home 😢
@@josevazquez7724 I was wondering about Worcester. Thinking of moving there. Also, which parts are the bad areas?

There is no car... Agent Smith is looking for you Mr. Anderson...

I could never ever be convinced to go back to live on one of the coasts again. You could not pay me.
Considering moving to this area. Why do you say that?

Totally agree with you

Dawg Worcester isn't even that bad for the US 💀
@@weicitytour Not the case, our cities used to be walkable, car and oil lobbyists are the reasons our cities are designed like shit nowadays
