Hello again, I have a thread on Airgun Nation and have some guys that really know their stuff trying to help with our issue. I have my new parts installed and am waiting on a couple more to see if it works. Ill keep you posted and feel free to join our chat session. TTYL
The trigger sear and striker release sear are $20 each, $5 shipping. I have the parts numbers if you need them. Keep me updated on the AAO setup repair. I'm going through the same thing. I'll do the same
Thanks for posting the groups. You might want to try clocking the can. Put a witness mark on the can and shoot then rotate 1/8 turn and shoot again. Repeat until you made a complete revolution. Note grouping and windage based on rotation. I put a sticker on my Neil Clague LDC for my .308. It did make a difference but if I’m trying to get my best accuracy, I leave the moderator off. Could just be me, my gun or the moderator.
Great video if you are having issues with the auto safty you can remove it all togeather the safty will still work but it will be manual it also makes servicing the rifle easier also you can fine tune the valve by unscrewing the valve a quater turn to increase power or tighten it down to lessen the power as well as using you hammer spring adjuster to increase hammer strike . Also the valve was designed for really heavy slugs 500 gn up to really push the foot pounds down range also you can run the valve safly at 4650 psi with fine tuning you should be able to get those slug over 1000 fps
To service the quick disconnect nipple you simply unscrew it spray silicon oil on the internal oring and tighten the little screw that holds it in place this will fix the issue u were having of air leaking out
Thank you very much for your information. I will try at some point to do what you said and make a video of it. I’ve gotten faster velocities, but only in the summer. Once winter came around I’ve lost almost 200 feet a second with the cold weather. Which I notice all my air guns shoot slower.
Hello, great video. I'm experiencing the exact same problem with the safety tensioner over traveling. Did you put it back in or just leave it out completely?
Thanks!! Yes I have been playing around with it some, i haven’t came up with a good way to fix it except maybe get a new one. My sear for the hammer spring is bent and bends after I straighten it so I’ll need a new one.
@@themichiganoutdoorsman Thanks for the response. I took mine out and what I've found is it works as it should (EXCEPT!!!) If I open the cocking handle it fires regardless if the safety is on or not. If I don't open the cocking handle after loaded it's just like it's intended to be. So, be informed of what happens if you open that handle. Its hard to get parts for the Texan but I have the part number and phone number to the parts department at Airforce. I ordered the striker release, trigger sear, and the 3 springs. I'm gonna see if that does it. If you need part numbers let me know.
My scope mounts do not move. Chances are you have valve lock where you spring power for the hammer is not enough to over come the pressure in the bottle. So your slugs are just barely flying out the barrel. I had that happen to me when I upgraded to the new Air Force tank. Or you’re shooting too far and your scope does not have enough travel in it.
I use the same brand of ammo. When you went from the aluminum tank to the Airforce carbon tank (not your Africa Ordinance tank) what was the difference in speed, as well as accuracy. Did accuracy remain the same? I want to upgrade my original aluminum tank to the carbon fiber and want to make sure the upgrade is worth it. By the way, I have the same suppressor on mine and man the gun is long, but quiet.
I did not have a chronograph when I had upgraded from the aluminum tank, so I am not sure what kind of power and speed differences. I do remember I had valve lock with the higher pressure and had to adjust my hammer spring, but that’s about all I remember.
Could be, I’m pretty good at adjusting scopes but that particular scope has caught me off guard by going the wrong way two or three times and I’m never sure if it’s me just not thinking about going the right way or if it’s the scope.
Quick question - here is video of the .452 - 255 grn Lee mold for 45 Colt. Do these perform similarly to the NSA’s or do these group a little looser? .457 Texan CF - Lee 255-.452 Powder Coated to .457 - 50 & 200 Yds ruclips.net/video/7B3fmSjHjsM/видео.html

Sorry I meant to say unscrewing the Top Hat to increase power also do this in increments of a quater turn if you undo it to much the valve will dump

@@themichiganoutdoorsman the cold definitely will affect things
Great shooting and thanks for posting

Are your scope mounts adjustable? I have a Air Force 457 as well and it shoots low. I was told to get adjustable scope mounts to fix this problem.

Thumbs up subbed Great video ever shoot any 220 grn
I don’t believe so, the lowest I have is .245 gr

How far was your target? I have similar problems adjusting my scope when shooting. I'm wondering if it is because it's not a high end scope.

Have you ever try the 357 texan
No, but I would like to
@@themichiganoutdoorsman ok i was thinking about get one
I like the better ballistic coefficient of the .357 for longer range and speed.
You always zero in at 65 yards
For the airguns typically, it’s just easy for me to shoot that distance because my targets are always out there
@@themichiganoutdoorsman ok thanks you get real good video good shooting
Thanks!
Y is your gun shooting kinda slow 290 only like 940 thats like factory speed
It is definitely factory speed, but not Shooting the same weight Ammunition the factory was testing with.
