Just got my Gr last week Zoe! I want to get a self powered sub... if I'm getting it right, this just makes stock jbl speakers louder, clearer, and more bassy?
Congrads on you GR. Yes it will. This sounds really good to me. It sound clearer and has more bass, but keep in mind you cannot go to high on the volume . it is not technically fixing everything the Amp is doing but it does make a diference.
I think the audio quality has been fine for me, but my biggest gripe is how far forward the sound stage is. I feel like the noise is shooting at me from the dash. The rear speakers barely get any output, you can adjust it in the settings but then that kills volume and quality. Did this amp solve that problem?
The sound stage is still shooting from the Dash to me. It feels, like it is better. But it all depends on you, and wha type of music you listen to. The Bass is boomier, lol. I love the low end bass way better. On the mini amp it has a little gain button. I set mine to 2:00 oclock. It definetly raissed the volume up on the rear speaker. after having the unit in the car for a few day. I think I am going to rais the gain up to closer to 4:00 oclock. Overall it does make me feel my music a lot more. I have more clarify overall. This is exactly what I was looking for.
I just installed a Beat Sonic amp for my 2023 Corolla XSE. It made a huge difference in my sound, but the subwoofer still sounds anemic. 😭 I plan on changing the subwoofer, but I need the color code for the 4 wires connected to the subwoofer. If anyone knows please share… Thanks in advance. 😁
All Beatsonic does is increase the gain (dB) from your head unit to the main amp under the seat. It does nothing for sound quality (it can't), and absolutely nothing for the rear channels. The front/rear imbalance remains with Beatsonic. It boosts volume at the same numeric level on the screen so it seems like the quality is better. In reality, its just louder. It also stresses your OEM amp beyond what it was designed for. I've had Beatsonic amp in my GR Corolla since November 2023. I recently took it out, and aside from the volume being lower at the same numeric level there is no difference in sound.
In the bugging it feels like it does but as I had it for 6 month plus I want more. So in the upcoming months I will be changing and had a full DSP amp subwoofer and new speakers. So the sound will be a lot better. For now. It is bareable. The thing that I don’t like it still have bass roll off. And my rear speaker still sounds bad. So I’m going to make a complete change for better sounds.
They also have a set that does not have the JBL package 📦 when you place the order make sure you say that it does not have the JBL package so they can send you the right configuration.
Nope, still using the Stock speakers. I will be replacing the speakers in a couple months. I’m thinking maybe summer. But I love how it sounds right now. I can actually enjoy my music.
@@CarStomIt Great video! I wouldn't change the speakers since you have the JBL system. The JBL amp gives each speaker different non-standard impedance that will make the after market speakers go very quiet. I tried it myself. You will need an after market amp if you're gonna change the speakers. I didn't wanna spend that much money, that's why I found this video, thanks for the great video!
I do agree that the Amp is doing some crazy ish in the backgroup that is causing the sound to do what it doe. but if I remove the amp I will loose my door chim, nav directions and some other stuff so that is why I am not sure I can't change it. I still need a Subwoofer though so I will definetly gind another way to do that.
@@CarStomIt I saw that you changed out the back speakers and said they're louder and sound better? If I'm adding an amp, I would keep the JBL amp and output it to the new amp so the new amp is powering the speakers. That way all the chim and system sounds will stay.
@@willlee6234so your suggestion is to not change any of speakers?? Was just asking because I was planning on changing all four and adding the sonic amp. Been following the discussion on the GR forum and this system sounds pretty complicated!
Thank you for your support!
You are welcome.
You are welcome.
This was a very fun DIY video to watch. Definitely will do this to my GR. Looking forward to see more of the audio system upgrades.

@darkrulier that is true from what it was it definitely made a difference for me over its work and help to improve the sound.

I agree it does sound so much better. I do not have a subwoofer on my car. but I plan on putting on for sure. waiting for some Tax moeny to come.
What an amazing video, how long did the delivery took?
it took 1 week to get to me.

Do you have to have the jbl package for this to work

Do you have a video of the sequential lights for the river mirror?
Are you talking about the side mirror turn signal Yes. Check my. My shorts I believe I have a few on the channel.
What is a “river” mirror?
@@johnboy4g63 I think he meant rear view mirrors?
@@CarStomIt yeah, either that or something for a boat.
Hi did you change the speakers?
