My granny used to soak bread in milk then break it into the mince mix to make it stick together when we had cottage pie. I messed up the recipe because I now make it with a crust at the bottom lol but I remember her telling me it's a very English meal (with sweet yellow rice and beetroot salad it was sooo yum)
Actually, frozen vegetables can often be more fresh than the "fresh" veggies at the supermarket because they are frozen very shortly after coming from the field and processing. The "fresh" veggies travel and sit on the shelves for days and days. The vitamins are better preserved by being frozen. 👍👍
