I know you have a bit of problem distinguishing the colors Steve. So I wanted to help you out by naming them for you... 1. Silver 2. Red 3. Purple 4. Blue 5. Background blue 6. Green 7. Gold Now you can write the colors on your bottles. I use these mixed in clear for helping achieve really cool effects in my galaxies. They show up really well poured over the black resin. Ok, thanks so much! 😊
@catherinekamenir2574 Steve is color blind so I was letting him know the correct colors. I think when he ordered them, they were unmarked. They were like a generic brand. Probably came from China. They often don't include instructions on things too. I hope I answered your question because I wasn't exactly sure what you were asking. 😊
Hi Steve😊 I have used these but a lil different than you. I put a thin layer of clear resin on my mold, let dry n then put the powder on top of that and then poured black or white colored resin over that. And the powders looked incredible 😮❤ gave a lot of depth to the pieces. Best of luck to ya😎🙃
1. Silver / cool white 2. Fuchsia / Red 3. Purple 4. Blue 5. Blue (normal mica) 6. Green 7. Yellow / golden They really do stand out against the black. I'm glad you made a new test, so you'll be able to use them. I personally like the purple (3) best, but they all look nice this way. The company who sells these is really harming their business by not clarifying what they're selling.
Hi Steve, I used black nail varnish n painted a lil patch on each lid, once dry I applied a small amount from each pot to the black patch, this allows u to identify quickly which colour each powder creates. I hope this helps 😊
I have a similar set. They don't have a label and didn't come with paperwork. I have learned that different companies use these terms interchangeably: interference (most common), magical, aurora, and color shift. You might want to try mixing them in black resin (as opposed to powdering the mold) 😊.
Hi Steve. I am writing from NZ. I have learned heaps from watching your videos as well as some other people. Thank you very much for posting this video. I have some colours which I now think may be interference colours. I will definitely test them at a later date. I got them from Temu. Where I live resin is very expensive and I have also contacted JDiction and Just Resin to see if they deliver to New Zealand but they do not so I am left buying resin from Temu which is my cheapest option at the moment as craft stores here charge and arm and a leg for very small amounts. Thank you for all your videos. You are an amazing person and I love how you explain step by step what you do. It makes it easy to learn and gives you courage for when you want to try new thing but are unsure.
I've always wondered what the "interference" part refers to? Interfere what? thank you for sharing the result of your test. black definitely makes the color pop
Me too, not sure if it means Chameleon, tho I DO see the way they work. I have some like that from Resin Pro, different names but they all (6) look pretty much the same before and after use!
Those can also be added to any color mica, just a bit, to add a bit of colored shine. They are also great on a black background in the acrylic pouring you’ve been doing. Or, I’ll qualify by saying they should be. I don’t know the quality of those, so get a couple of better quality interference powders (called Ghost colors, too). If mixing the powder for acrylic pouring, mix it with a bit of varnish first. Just a bit to get it liquid.
I use wonder wipes they are fantastic. I used to buy magic colour nail powder it was basically interference colours they call them different things is all. I’m glad you re-tried them though Steve.
Hi Steve, love your work . I put a little bit of mika powder and resin on the bottle lid so I can see at a glance what colour is in the bottle. Works a treat.
I adore ratties and be honoured as I am naming one of my new batch after you. i name them after people I like.I am 53 and have had rats since I was 18. I don't keep them in a cage and they are free roaming. There will be a little Steve running about. Heeee!
I have a purple, red and blue interference powders. I've used the purple one and not sure if I like it. I think I'll like the red one. I j7st need to try them all and see what they are like.
Not 100% but I think interference powders work nest on molds that have textures. Like jewelry or crystal molds or bumpy or waves molds. The texture adds to the look because the colors sparkle (not sure if that's exactly the right word) or look different. But yes, dark background color is a must!
I think I’ve the same set. I haven’t tried them yet. I’m not sure if I’m impressed by the colours to be honest. Thank you for the demonstration Steve. Take care!👍☺️🇬🇧
Hey Steve.. I had commented on the 1st video you used these and called them ghost pigments, that's how they were originally sold/named years ago when they came out. Im the one who told you bout the black background.. try a actual makeup brush they will look even better
Nice one Atve and I'm glad to see you stopped using baby wipes, they really did wreck moulds. Yeh you're right about those powders, they are cool, good to see how they worked. Have you tried 2 hour cure resin yet? I'm impatient too lol
Hi. I usually use Jdiction but there is a recall on it in Canada so I currently can't buy it. Do you have suggestions for a good replacement for flower coasters?
does anyone else see the old womans image in piece number 3 ,She is wearing a scarf on her head and facing left (correction Right) I was saying from her perspective...is that part of the mold or did it just happen????
Steve, absolutely love your videos. But I have noticed that you are using different resins since your last video recommending what resin to use for what projects. Would love it if you would make an updated video on what resins you are currently using and maybe what pigments, mica powders, alcohol inks, etc. so that those of use still in the research stage can see what your opinions are. Thank you.
So, I get what you're trying to do, but it's not working like interference colors should. I'll suppose that's because you're colorblind and may not be able to see the interference shifts as they should look. Honestly, in all of these examples, I see no interference shifts that I expect to see. Interference colors should move from one color to another, either adjacent or opposite on the color wheel, and I'm not seeing that. What I'm seeing is shimmer, which is great, but no interference shift.
Steve I have never done resin anything before and I am going with jdiction should I use teexpert for deep or jdiction to stay with also ordered your resin create Christmas kit so I am trying to do a lot of resin projects and advice is so appreciated?

I’m so glad you did this for him. Great idea. I was getting ready to do it, but you beat me to the punch 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Are the company owner or someone guessing???

Cool and good information
What a thoughtful idea! 👍☺️

Can you see a face of Brave heart in the purple number three.
Thank you, Steve, for offering the free month of classes! I've signed up for my month and am already searching through the offered lessons.

Interference means it works by refracting (interfering with) light, as opposed to pigments which absorb light.
I like to use interference colors in resin then make a swirl/marble effect with black resin and its in those instances u can really see them!

I mix the colors with black resin and it tints it different colors
An explanation of what interference powders are would be helpful for those of us who are neophytes. 😊
You said teexpert 😂 I must have put teexpert on your mind yesterday ❤ great video thanks like always Steve
I bought those wipes. ABSOLUTELY ACE!
2 and 3 are beautiful- fushia and purple respectively
I use wonder wipes they are fantastic. I used to buy magic colour nail powder it was basically interference colours they call them different things is all. I’m glad you re-tried them though Steve.
I agree with the black backing. It makes the colors come to life. Thank you Steve.
Glad these turned out for you, now that you know WHAT they are! LOL BTW you said it was TeeExpert resin but was actually JDiction. Cheers!
Hi Steve, love your work . I put a little bit of mika powder and resin on the bottle lid so I can see at a glance what colour is in the bottle. Works a treat.
I bought some inference paints, I will have to get them out and paint.

Beautiful!!! Love the ones with the darker background!!
Stay safe, you do you, protect yourself and stay crafty 👍👍🛎️🛎️🔔🔔🦋🦋
Hi Steve, I can’t find your link to the big wipes and Amazon has a few versions, can you tell us which big wipes you’re using? Thanks ☺️
I wrote the number on the bottle too, so easy to put the wrong one on a bottle 😆
I have a purple, red and blue interference powders. I've used the purple one and not sure if I like it. I think I'll like the red one. I j7st need to try them all and see what they are like.

Soo that's what mine are! No instructions or anything.. it was sold as pearlescent. Not sure what interference colors are tho
I think I’ve the same set. I haven’t tried them yet. I’m not sure if I’m impressed by the colours to be honest. Thank you for the demonstration Steve. Take care!👍☺️🇬🇧
I like the big wipes. I also got the spray for large areas
Hi Steve, your material links aren’t linking!😢. Love your channel❤

I see her! Looking to the right though 😂
@@____julia____ LOL I was saying from her perspective
Almost a cameo ghosting in the piece....
@@ram1brn we see the same thing then ❤️🤣
❤❤❤
Yes, good labeling is important
I wish I could know when mica is human-created mica - because many natural mica mining companies uses child labor.
what is an interference color?

I’m not Steve, but as another beginner I will say I went with Teexpert for the deep pour
@DebJonesWriter I was thinking same thing but I like doing experiments too so going with Jdiction resin this month next month will be Texpert resin
Not impressed with the colors. I don’t know what was expected, but I wouldn’t have paid for these. Hope you got them free.
