I really respect DragonForce for the way they support BABYMETAL. DragonForce snuck BABYMETAL into their DOWNLOAD festival 2015 set, even though the guy/people behind DOWNLOAD said BABYMETAL would not be allowed to play there ever. Well, after word got out that DragonForce and BABYMETAL were going to perform a song (Gimme Chocolate) together on stage, a ton of people showed up to the DragonForce set and the crowd went beyond the performance tent. Well, the next year, 2016, BABYMETAL performed on the DOWNLOAD main stage in front of like 25-50,000 people, and killed it! Thank you Herman, Sam, and the rest of the DragonForce guys! 🦊🤘
That's so cool to think that DragonForce shoved it up the organizers ass just to give BabyMetal some more exposer. So cool to put that link into the untold history of BabyMetal.
Herman is right. Babymetal 'has to be seen' especially live. Their live shows is freakin awesome and Herman witnessed it himself at their Wembley Arena 2016 world tours.
I saw them live in Nashville back in 2018. Can confirm, it was fucking dope. Never thought I'd see a mosh pit accompanied by Japanese girls singing but yeah.

They told Su to rap these lyrics, so she did. Then Moa and Su create the primary dance steps, followed by final choreography with Mikikometal. They have been performing on stage since they were 6 yo. They celebrated their 10the anniversary as a band in 2020. They were 13 and 11 years old when they started out. Also in 2020 BabyMetal was named the 10th greatest METAL band in history. They've toured with many of the biggest names in music. Besides headlining their own shows throughout the world, they've opened for Metallic, Kiss, Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few and have appeared at METAL festivals over those 10 years.
For me Babymetal just plain and simple is fun. I like the mashups of genres. They just do things in fresh and/or weird ways. I must say seeing them live in NYC was a ton of fun. I know many metal fuds kinda write them off as "not real metal" but imo who cares if they are/aren't. They make fun music.
Imma say this for the people who don't know about the song. They over used auto-tune on purpose. And it's about how other artist over use it. Just look up the lyrics.
I love Dragonforce and Herman Li's support of Babymetal, not to mention the excellent Road of Resistance track - it is truly groundbreaking work that will hold up for years and years to come unlike so much other modern disposable music that goes in one ear and out the other and is forgotten in weeks, or days. DragonForce along with Babymetal's music will hold up to the test of time - mark my words - even years and decades from now we will still be appreciating and analyzing and listening to these incredibly original tracks, that are literally ahead of their time.

Japanese music industry is... weird. It's cheaper to import an album internationally than buy it in Japan. So what do lots of bands, including foreign bands, do ? Have a Japan release (Japan is the second biggest music industry in the world. one of the countries where physical copies still sold a lot) All BxMxC reactions, fancams, etc. on RUclips are blocked in Japan. Because the song is on the Japanese release of the album, not on the international release. Which almost seems like someone forgot to update the RUclips policy, because Babymetal have released the song internationally as a single now (and is also on Spotify, etc.). And the MV isn't blocked or maybe they've decided they want all the Japanese views to go the MV to boost it's numbers.

The MV BxMxC Babymetal seems to be inspired by DragonForce's latest album, both of them have the theme of playing games
It's actually linked to their 10 best songs "tournament" album, they put their songs one against each other and the fans choose the winners, which will end being the final tracklist.
They choose the Mortal Kombat scenario because... it's cool 😅?
🤘🦊⚡
@@DeePal072 That won't be for the final tracklist I'm afraid. It's only for the 10 compilation videos.
Their live performance of this song is SO much better! It sounds ok listening to their studio version, but when they do it live it's fucking insane
I knew I recognized your guys music !
I come here more fast than Through the fire and flames hehe
Awesome. Su can do virtually anything with her voice.
Now you have to watch The Warning!!!
Start with Dust to Dust (live at Lunario).
The new generation of hard rock!
5:48 "What is going to be their name when they turn 18?"
They are in their 20s now, bro. I mean Moa is 21 and Su is about to turn 23.
Herman, give in and get that 9 string. It's been a tough year you should treat yourself!
the previous time, the Spanish speakers invaded
now, the Otakus invade.
Saludos desde México :)
Looking forward to tomorrows 8 string arriving!
And and then can't beleive the new PRS is 2 months away. But at least it occured to you guys to put dragon inlay on there. I was like "Oh PRS put used to put dragon inlay on their REALLY nice guitars, surely they will give that to Herman when they make him another custom"
Maybe get them to throw Sam a bone, get him a nice little PRS single cut custom or something. Something different. But needs a dragon! Dueling Dragons!
She’s awesome , and to me it sounds like they just invented another genre , metal reggae , it sounds a lot like reggae. But it’s different and that’s what makes it so freaking awesome.
👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️🤟🤟🤟
Thanksfully i was able to see them live in early 2020 in europe. Its totally different between live and CD, its even better ! And i was in fact fan of dragonforce before knowing babymetal. When i ear ROR for the first time, i was like, Jésus it really sound like dragonforce ( because on fact it was haha ). And when i discovered everything u did to make them grow, in front of all the haters. Well done dragonforce for that 👏👏
You guys were in France at the same time. That was one of the hardest decisions I had to make as a DragonForce and BABYMETAL fan. My wife and I saw BABYMETAL for the first time that weekend. It was also the last concert I went to because of Covid..
Very different.
Su-metal has the best death stare in all of metal.
Boh is one of the best bass players I have seen.
Nice to see you are a fanboy of Babymetal just like we are. That's cool.
Japan has some awesome musicians and bands and many are all female rocking our socks off and melting our faces.
Watch it live too.
I just found Dragonforce playing with Babymetal. Oh my God . so awesome. because super music stars are teaming up. Man. Im not crying, but im in tears . Thank You for being a cool person . Awesome band You have ;) good luck
THANK YOU SIR~!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU
Not really a fan of the studio version but live???? HOLY CRAP! It may be one of their best.
Love the Babymetal song. I enjoy the colab songs with Babymetal as well. I am jamming to the Extreme Power album.
"I'd be nervous to meet babymetal in case I got accidental bones which would be embarassing" -@ 5:43
lol
REALLY fascinating video! I'm including this in my "BABYMETAL: New Reactions (Best of)" playlist ..... out of over 5,100 videos this is definitely one of the most interesting! How about another Dragonforce/BABYMETAL collab for their next album? :)
awesome!
I fron brazill!!!!! I love you dragonforce ❤❤❤❤
Why do Brazilians always feel the need to let people know they are Brazilian?
@@Death2Dust for gringos not to think that we are stupid for writing wrong or something nothing to do kkkkkkk
@@Death2Dust simply to show love and respect. To say that "we are here". But I agree with you, brazilians do it too much, but also indians and turkish
I also very much enjoy BABYMETAL and IRON BUNNY. @Herman Li if you haven't checked them out before, listen to MergingMoon- When A Phantom Becomes A Fact it blew me away!!!!
One of the reasons why I really love Dragonforce.
Love BABYMETAL ❤️
Kitsune Up!!!
🤘🦊🤘
BMC sounds like DMC (Detroit Metal City - an anime that's parodying / satirizing metal)
Kudos to Dragonforce for their support to BabyMetal and not being like some of the grumpy old gatekeepers.
Question is, will Amuse block this reaction video? They really need to rethink their policies there.. That said, great to see someone like Herman Li do a reaction video, combines many of my favorite things in one place. 😁😁😁
Japanese music industry is... weird. It's cheaper to import an album internationally than buy it in Japan. So what do lots of bands, including foreign bands, do ? Have a Japan release (Japan is the second biggest music industry in the world. one of the countries where physical copies still sold a lot)
All BxMxC reactions, fancams, etc. on RUclips are blocked in Japan.
