@@gregparis8948 History should explain it rather handily. Jews are extinct. Plain and simple. Just like many people groups in history.
When their temple burned down, they lost their religion. With the temple went their Law, their prophets, their genealogy, the elements, the government, the economy, the very way of life of these tribal people. Their entire culture went up in smoke. The age ended, as many in that last generation of these temple people had been expecting, according to the gospels, Acts, and epistles.
And the Jewish-Roman Wars weren’t over yet. Not for more than another six decades after the Great Revolt. After the bar Kokhba Revolt in the 130s, Judea lost the last vestiges of its identity. The country had been renamed Assyria-Palestina, and Jews were killed off, all but eliminated in the region.
Whatever connection present-day Talmudic Jews may claim to the diaspora, whose heritage had been diluted through centuries of migration and intermarriage, they are not connected to Shem or Jacob. No one today carries any of that DNA. Whatever Jews you may know - Hasidic, Sephardic, Ashkenazi, whatever - they are not Semitic.
So, let not your heart be troubled. Your people are not the people of the Bible. Your people are not the idolaters, warmongers, and evildoers whose failure of worship and corruption of Moses would result in their last days, foretold as far back as Moses himself. You have no reason to be offended.

You're so right. In all my years, going to various churches, they would NEVER talk about that.
Like so many shame words that get tossed around when you challenge a doctrine or wont get in line, Preterist is one of the most disingenuous of them all. Since I accepted the obvious truth that JESUS was telling the truth and that he meant exactly what he said, I also began to wonder why the churches steer clear from that. I came to a conclusion that was based on the backlash I got when I would bring it up. They keep their congregations united through FEAR. They justify this through a collection of false beliefs (the chosen people) and false teachings, a stronghold that is chained by pride and fear. The pride comes out the second that you tell them it already happened, they immediately balk at you, not loving, not in a noble way but in a fierce rebuke. If they do manage to stay calm, they descend into a foggy world of dual meanings, rearranging time to mean other things, crazy 'theories'...anything to keep from believing the LORD. I think they're terrified of the implication, what it would mean if they suddenly began telling the truth. They'd get back lash, scorned, painted with the words they once used against others.
John MacArthur can't get though a single sermon with out mentioning the 'soon to come bodily return of JESUS CHRIST'. It's one of the saddest things I see today and I think it all plays into the hands of some VERY evil people and 'spiritual wickedness in heavenly places' or "aliens" which are demons.

@@TheCountofToulouse very well said! Thank you for your comments. Fear is a very powerful manipulator. But I also try to have Grace for people that really have trouble accepting this version of things because it is a total paradigm shift. I think when we are confronted with something that is just completely the opposite of what we’ve always believed the initial reaction is to lash out, but maybe as things sink in overtime they will be able to think about it with less fear and anger. I mean, I didn’t accept this overnight!🙏❤️

There is no great commission, But there IS the ministry of reconciliation, which is given unto the body of CHRIST. Commission occurs 1 time in the new testament, and it was given unto Saul to go persecute Jesus believing Jews everywhere. Thank GOD he met him in the way and used him to give us the ministry of reconciliation. Jesus gave his 12 Apostles instructions to go everywhere beginning at Jerusalem. Why was Peter and John still in Jerusalem 21 years after Jesus gave them this supposed great commission?

      Greetings Daniel,
Having grown up in Australia in a greek household [greek immigrant parents] who were devout "church goers" therefore as a kid so was I.
Then married a "catholic" so had that experience for a while.
Then came into the "evangelical" community after we enrolled our kids into a "christian school" - not necessarily for the "christian" bit but rather they offered primary and secondary on one campus and that appealed....
      Anyway I digress.
My entire experience of "institutional chruch" [not a slur - a subjective description/distinction] does not interpret the New Testament through the lens of the proclamation of the Kingdom in a way that many might grasp the significant distinction between the OT and the NT - especially when you consider that Jesus entire "teaching part" of His ministry was about the Kingdom of God.
Speaking always into groups of people who "believed" in God, yet Jesus declared "Repent and Believe".
I believe it is important to pause and ask why Jesus would tell people who claimed they believed in God, who went to synagogue weekly to receive teaching from the religious leaders [Pharisees and Scribes], who went to the temple daily to pray......to repent and BELIEVE.
I believe very simply - because they knew NOT who God is.
Hence Jesus, the light of the world giving sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, liberty to the captives and raising the dead to life.
It is ALL SPIRITUAL - therefore the natural must die.
That's why the natural must comes first, but that which is last.....lasts forever because it was always before the first and formed it.
      Love and blessings.

Meaning that the evil we see in the world is not the result of Satan but the result of ourselves. “Satan “means the adversary. It is sometimes personified in the Bible, but remember that James said “each person is tempted when he is Lord and enticed by his own desires.“ Meaning there isn’t a bogeyman going around tempting us. Even if there was a “Satan“ he is not omnipresent like God he could only be in one place at a time, tempting one person at a time so I think we end up giving him way too much credit!❤️🙏

@timoromeo7663 I was guilty of mixing law with grace and having neither. Not that I see my error, I can spot it in others. It all started when I asked too many questions of a pentecostal church. They shunned me and I thought I was just having a deep Bible study. He said I couldn't have been baptized in the Holy Spirit because I didn't speak in tongues. I researched the history of pentecostalism and that lead to rightly dividing. I was always wondering where I was in the Bible and where we are in biblical history or prophecy. Two verses stand out to me know, Never mix law with grace or you will have neither. And, some believe themselves to be Jews but are not. I see now that Acts of the Apostles is a transitional book going from law to grace. Some books in the new testament are describing what happened in the old testament under the law. I'm trying to witness but I can't keep up with all the responses. I feel like maybe I should be quiet. Needless to say God showed me some truth about that church. He knew I was thinking of going there and was one step ahead of me.

@@rickcampanella4254 Amen Brother, I grew up with a stepfather who was a pastor of a full gospel mission in Denver, and a father who was apostolic. Both are pentecostal. Since I was eight years old I could see there was a problem between Peter and Paul. There's even a Peter Paul candy company out today. Anyway, I went out into the world and said to my dad who was a backsliding, alchoholic who was always quoting the bible and always had his bibles all marked up, that when I came to the LORD that I wanted it to be for the rest of my life, which it is now. I had to get into the word MYSELF and got all gusto for bible study and people didn't have the answers to my questions. Including pastors of which the latest one I told that I was under the law of faith, and he said that wasn't a thing. I was lucky I had my cruden's concordance with me and told him it was Romans 3:27. I haven't been back there since. It's an AG church here in a small town. I don't have much fellowship out here. So I spent hours upon hours studying my KJV and everything I could about manuscript evidence and other things that I feel need to be taught in church other than OLD TESTAMENT which includes mostly all of Matt.-John. I tell anyone where the Gospel is and then what happens when you hear the good news. Here it is..1 Cor.15:14 Good News and Eph.1:10-14
When you believe the Good news of your salvation, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; YOU WERE SEALED with that Holy Spirit of promise, Which is the EARNEST of our inheritance UNTIL the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. - The Apostle Paul, the apostle of the gentiles. The greatest Apostle.

I agree with you 100% in that new believers need to hear the truth about Jesus coming back in the first century and fulfilling to perfection every word he said about his second coming. Anyone who says that this generation in Matthew 24:34 doesn't mean the generation that jesus was speaking to is definitely not being true to the text.

The NT says often that they were in the last days in the first century and that the end would come in their generation. The book ends with a letter to the seven churches of Asia Minor in the first century and says to them Jesus is coming soon. Our take is literally the most accurate and faithful to the text.

If I held that view and was a preacher I could just pick and choose what Jesus said to suit what I wanted it to be. What is desperately needed is "The Story of Jesus" that includes his spiritual return in 70AD with the obliteration of Jerusalem. There were people who witnessed this. There is the writing of Josephus that describes in great detail the destruction of Jerusalem. There really were miraculous occurrences at that time that Christians witnessed as did the Jews. The truth is so much more valuable, not to mention interesting, than a tale in which Jesus didn't really know what he was saying, or that he didn't mean it the way he said it. Anyway, great lesson. It all comes back around Paul said “don’t you know that you are the Temple of God” We are a mobile temple covered with skin with Jesus Christ as the head. The Bible says the physical body must die for the spiritual to live. In Matthew 24 it has a dual fulfillment also, the ones that believed Jesus when they seen the army surround
Jerusalem left the city and were saved from destruction. The second part of the prophecy has been happening since 1948 and this is the generation that will see that destruction again. I believe you have a good point and do agree with your view. However, I strong believe that your initial presentation of the topic is not accurate in that pastors are intentionally hiding these verses because they do not want their congregation to know about it. To intentionally hide this from the congregation is to say that they know the truth but do not share it for some Allterior motive. This is not the case. I believe those that do not hold our view is simply due to their conviction on how the bible is to be interpreted based on their theology/eschatology. I do not believe pastors are intentionally deceiving their congregation while hold off the truth. Unfortunately, their theology/eschatology does not allow them to accommodate the truth of these verses and so they either dont address it due to difficulty of passage or simply have a different view on how to interpret that verse. Casting a negative light to churches in intentionally withholding information simply causes many to become discouraged and confused on the many contradictions within Christianity that makes it much easier to just walk away from it all.

The time is cut short in chapter 13. The second birth of Jesus in the book of Luke. We see they went to the temple did a dedication and all went home to Galilee. Jesus did not say his prayer in the garden until the book of John chapter 17 , love the part protect them where they are or let them be where I am. There is also the blood and the water from the soldier piercing the side speaking of in the flesh in the book of John. As Jesus did give up the ghost, the soul. As the spirit can come and go if the soul is still in the body. The father gave him the power to lay down his life and pick it back up. As we will also be able to do , after receiving holy Ghost in a new body. Right now we can only go in and out in spirit, F1 can see and hear in spirit. As many people are still wondering what is spirit and what is ghost.❤

@@dannorth9125 thank you for the kind words! Although I’m not really a Post millennial and I don’t believe we’re in Satan’s little season and I don’t believe that the new Jerusalem is physical or that Jesus has a physical body but other than that I’m on board with everything you said!😂🙏❤️ but it’s totally OK to disagree. I’m glad that we can have the conversation.🥰

Interesting.I assumed preterists were post or amillenials. I was told by a preterist friend that my views were aligned with amillenialism, but I lean towards a millenium that has already occurred, and was covered up by Satan in his short season - which we are in. IMO

Isn’t it possible that Jesus was talking about his resurrection and how he appeared before multitudes of people I mean, this is blatantly obvious for those that have eyes to see. He was literally just talking about how he had to go into town and be killed by the elders the verse before so obviously when he’s talking about his return, he’s talking about the resurrection. Literally two or three verses up he saying he hast to go to Jerusalem and be killed and resurrected so he’s saying there are some of you standing here that will witness this and will see me in my glory. He is not talking about the second coming here.
It says that when Jesus died on the cross, “the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. And coming forth from their tombs after his resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many” (Mt 27:52-53).

      Matt 16:27,28
“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds. “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.””
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭
Is it your belief that Jesus returned in the glory of the father with his angels and repaid every man according to their deeds at his resurrection?

@@bing621 did the passage state that when he came, he would repay everyone according to their deeds or did he just say you will see me coming with the glory of my kingdom? He did not say those who were present would be judged. He merely said they would see him in his kingdom. He was referring to the future when he said I will repay everyone, according to their deeds but he was referring to the very very near future when he said you will see me in my glory with my kingdom before you taste death.
“The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. (Matt. 27:52-53)
He is providing proof that the latter will happen by way of the very near event that everyone will see him in his glory. when Jesus reappeared to the multitudes, it wasn’t just him. I’m sure there were angels present. There was trumpet sounding there was the glory of the father with him. He saying y’all will see this in your lifetime.
In the versus prior, he was not talking only about the second coming. He was also talking about the resurrection just a few verses prior he was describing what would happen to him in Jerusalem and his resurrection as well so it’s very possible that he was speaking about the resurrection when they would see him again before they tasted death. That verse when he says y’all will see me again he does not say and you will be judged

If you look him up, then maybe both you and he, can find more answers and support to some puzzling questions. I also think that he would benefit from listening to you as well.
