- This is the new Bentley Bentayga Speed - at 190mph top speed the Bentayga Speed is now the world's fastest SUV and the Pikes Peak record holder for a production SUV! Don't let the number-plates fool you, despite this 4x4 being a road car, it moves like nothing else! At 626hp the W12 engine generates 30ps more than the standard Bentayga but the real magic is in the new 'Sport' setting on the dynamic select switch. in this video I share with you what it's all about!

James I really like your videos but watching them with headphones is just horrible when you show the car and talk behind the camera.. maybe you should think about a new microphone or whatever could fix it? Maybe turn stereo sound of idk

Yeah, the broadcasting and professional industry uses lavelier (lav) mics for that. It's not too much trouble or overly expensive.
I'd recommend him to take a look at the new packs from RØDE: the Wireless GO and Sennheiser: the XSW-D Portable Lavalier Set.
Alternatively there's something called the 'Instamic'. They would be a superb addition for automotive RUclipsrs not only as a lav mic, but as well picking up foley of engine and exhaust notes for example. But indeed, if you already make the mistake of using an onboard stereo mic and talk from one side of the camera you've got to merge them channels.
Shiznuts maybe also some kind of turntable microphone? Really hope James sees our comments

I had a meeting at Bentley Crewe once and tried to park my BMW in front of the factory. I was 'politely' told to I couldn't and was pointed elsewhere :-)

Amazing how much money some car manufacturers spend on promotion, car introductions / pampering journalists. Desperate for more sales, or excessive profit margins? (According to parent VW Bentley isn't making much money, no wonder)

ANDRE I mean they wouldn’t just give up after producing the fastest SUV for about 8 months and then that fastest SUV gets beaten by a huge Bentley Bentayga Speed.Not a SV but something special I mean Urus S or Urus Superleggera etc. Could be done.I guess they wouldn’t do 307 km/h but 310 km/h or 315 km/h to close the deal.If it does 315 with a 5.2L V10 then there would be no way any other manufactuarer can produce a 316 km/h SUV unless it is one off
I have always liked the capabilities of this suv. I don't see why large suvs need to be on track though better cars for that. Road handling is its party piece. I stole that phrase ☺

Bentley should've built an off road course at that race track to take it off the asphalt into the dirt, that would be awesome! Kind of like what the range rover did during the vintage GP at Watkins Glen last year, awesome experience of the capabilities of both worlds

Hmm... There are certain vehicle types where I'd go for the comfort/luxury option, over the performance. The performance of the standard version is more than capable for the everyday sort of action it is most likely to witness.
I expect this to be the first and last time that most of those Speeds, will ever see a race track! 😃

I love your channel and the content but I can't help but wonder how impartial your reviews of cars like these can be, when the manufacturer is giving you a Continental as a free (I assume) loan car. Surely you'll feel compelled to talk favourably about the car your testing??

You really need to work on your mobile microphone setup. Frankly, the audio is bad. Especially when you're touring the car. Particularly, it's imbalanced towards the left.

Deeply disappointed to see that they haven't updated the dash, etc to match the new continental. If I could buy a Bentayga... I wouldn't. At least not until the dash got a much-needed update, I'll go for a G class or Vogue until then.
Deeply disappointed about the dash? Really? I actually prefer analogue dials as I spend enough time in a day looking at a screen and as for the rest of it I'd argue that the primary reason for buying this car is the interior, it's lovely, sure it's not quite as flash as the new Conti when the fancy swivel screen option has been ticked nevertheless it's an equally perfect place to be and easily still owns a spot within the top 10 best car interiors on the planet at the moment considering the craftsmanship and the way it flows and fits together so organically and while the Vogue is undoubtedly also a lovely place to be this has it beat. As for the G-class, from an interior standpoint it's not worth a mention in the above company, unless of course, you're one of those people who has to have the newest ipad on the day of it's release then well, whatever floats your boat. The G is not classy, it doesn't fit together well, it's a hodgepodge, it's more akin to a Dyson-Apple store convergence than it is to a relaxing five star hotel lounge like the Bentley.
I can’t imagine it being the fastest for long, not once the Urus gets a edgier model. Nice car this though, lovely way to travel. Marvellous interior.

What is life like right now ! One thing for sure James you ain't no Mr Average... so travel by helicopter is what i would call appropiate for a man of your stature ... afterall you know witchcraft ! lol

The rear wing is the only exterior section that has changed, all the other exterior sections that were mention, were already an option if required. The exhaust is aso a option already mention in the W12 configurator. The 7 seat he mentions, has always be there, since the start of the Bentayga, so apart from the rear wing, no changes the. Interior, seat design slight change and alcantara quilting. The alcatars, not that great, leather for me and seat design stripe looks good. No change regarding the Carbon, this option has been on the board for a long time. Speed wise, 3mph faster than the Urus but slow when it comes to 0-60 compared to the Urus. For £30,000 extra for the Speed, sorry the W12 I would go for.
