Queer fans relate to the lyrics, like "feeling good in my skin, I just keep on dancing" it relates to queer people accepting their identity and sexuality, and specially that specific line people don't really understand of "if our friends all pass away, It's okay" it relates to queer people losing their friends/family once they come out, and accepting that if they're not longer in our lives it doesn't mean we're wrong for being who we are. It's supposed to be the 1920s in the music video.

Personally I never thought it was just for one sexual orientation, I have taken the song to be about accepting everyone and treating everyone to kindness. It's not really fair to make the song which Harry wrote only about one group of people. I wish people would stop labeling everything Harry does as only belonging to a few rather than Harry accepting all.

I love the way he says "and if our friends all pass away, it's okay" because I have pretty bad anxiety along with other mental health issues so when I listen to it I feel like it's Harry telling me I'm going to be okay even if the worst thing happens. Even if I'm on my lowest point, I can still carry on. It might not be that deep but to me it is. It isn't Harry saying he hates his friends. It's hopeful, he's telling us everything gets better over time.
Fun fact: this dance was choreographed by Paul Roberts, who used to be the choreographer for One Direction right from the start! He also did at least one mv with Niall... I thinks it's really nice that even after all those years the boys still kept in touch with their old crew :)

So I think the video is supposed to be, give or take, end of the 1930 and the start of the 40’s. Note: I don’t effing know a lot of art history but in Mexico there’s tons of that art, being the crown Jewel The Palacio of Bellas Artes
