@@sbfmaster23Paul Schneider was not that bad. What was bad was the directing. When the show started, Paul was told that he would be the Barney Stinson of the show. Imagine the confusion then, when Mark was now told that he would be in a committed relationship with Ann just to be dumped. That would be confusing for any actor.
thankfully ben managed to fit as the "straight man" character. mark sadly felt disconnected from the rest most of the time, aside from one episode in season 2.
Mark wasn't bad. he was the "straight man." the normal guy among a crowd of wierdos. In The writing evolved in a great way during the show. It would have been nice to see him pop in every once in a while just for contrast among the increasingly eccentric characters....and the Pit saga was resolved with a "Deus Ex KaBoom"

Another comment says he was supposed to be a womanizer but he was never anything but a normal straight dude. In fact most of the time he was really nice. Honestly this wasn't even exclusively Mark's fault. No character had much personality before season 3 hit. Even then the difference between season 1 and 2 was night and day for character traits. The show really needed time to find it's own footing and not be an office wannabe and it really succeeded when it did.
You have a perfectly good pit that took a lot of work to dig. Below the frost line it’s a constant 65 degrees. Parks wish they had pit money. You would be a fool to backfill it. “Things need to be flat” You could do so much more

in real life, she probably would not have been seriously injured - the constant rolling down the hill preserved momentum, so she never really hit anything very hard. that's why head-on or rear-end car collisions are so dangerous - the sudden start/stop of your body can cause massive crush damage especially if your head snaps both forwards AND backwards. rolling is actually the safest way to avoid injuries but looks very scary.
Man I know a few people I wouldn’t mind if they fell in that pit. And if the hardhead falls off before they hit the ground, well what are you gonna do?
From what I recall the pit eventually became a lot--which was about to be turned into a Paunch Burger until Ken Hotate helped Leslie to prevent that from happening. And then eventually it did become a park. Nothing too extravagant just a regular sized park.
