My goodness! Linda looked at me and said "How is it possible Paul hasn't used TOBS Sandalwood cream by now?" I have no idea! It's certainly a fragrance you never forget 🥰 Lovely set-up and shave of course, and goes without saying the flowers look lovely... You're back on the big telly again🤣
Man I just love these shaving videos. And I love them just as much as I did when I first got into wet shaving. Good people Paul and Lowri Humphreys. The world is a better place with you guys. Thank you!
Good morning Paul, excellent shave liked the cream very much. Stunning flower display too, thanks Mrs H!! SOTD: -Zazor Shavette -Omega S10049 Synthetic brush -Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE blade -Bol à raser Monsavon, shaving soap -Str8 "Hero" after shave lotion -Nivea sensitive after shave balm Thank you very much, keep up the good work and please stay safe. Greetings from beautiful Northern Greece 🇬🇷❤️!!
When i 1st got into wet shaving going on 2 years or more now, tobs sandlewood was the 1st cream i ordered. Loved it, still do. My sotd was my king c gillette razor with the matching blade. I used Sir Hare barber shop scented soap, with Aqua Velva to finish. Nice classic shave for me. Motn was sirloin steak that i hand cut myself in my butcher shop. With baked potatoes with butter and sour cream. Lovely meal. Loved the spring flowers as always. You both have a great night
TOBS Sandalwood is my Fav hands down followed by Dr. Harris Sandlawood, B&M Sandlawood and PAA Supreme Sandlawood my top 4 choices personally… Great Video still having flowers that’s nice kept the tradition up Paul Alan H
Paul, you got it all! A florist brings you flowers, you have a man named Alan that takes care of your cuts and you have your own branded witch hazel. I think you are the Lord of the manner. For years I thought his lordship was just a visitor. Now I know! 😉 Have a great week!
Great shave, Paul and lovely display by Mrs. H! My SOTD: -Razorine Flatboy(interesting DE razor I just got today. Recommend you try, Paul if you don't have it already) -Proraso Blue Shaving Cream -Bic Blade -Bevel Shaving Brush -Nivea Men Post Shave Balm
Nice shave. SOTD the brass CB with the E plate and a new Voshkod. Stirling Dunshire with 7 drops of frost drops. Thayers Lavender witch hazel. Tommy Bahama Maritime Triumph. Just having left over chicken for lunch. Take care all.
Thanks Paul, the shaving cream of choice for me would be T.O.B.S use it all the time, so I know the sent of it, if you get the opportunity try some of there other sent's all the same quality creams in my view. Have a good one and thanks again for some new information, that's one reason I watch your posts. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Beautiful flowers, Mrs. H 🌹and good shave, Paul 💈My shave of yesterday was my first use of my newly acquired 1918 Gillette Khaki set razor (aggressive little sucker), Astra SP blade (purchased a long time ago) on its 3rd use, Simpson's T3 brush, Captain's Choice large bowl and my usual Venture soap, splash and balm (I don't branch out much). See you Wednesday. 👍
@PaulHFilms Pork roast with crispy cracklin' is gorgeous. Flowers are lovely as ever Mrs. H. I have a large piece of leftover ham so I'll be making split pea soup with ham.
Paul I think I will enjoy then 😊, I have two of the King C. maybe I will the razor give away to someone new beginner in traditional wet shaving. One of this.
YSOTD (yesterday's shave of the day) prior to Hot and Spicy. Sudsy Soapery Frosted Lemon, tallow shave soap. Shave Nation bowl. The brush handle was custom made by my cousin and fitted with a synthetic knot by me. Edwin Jagger with a Wilkinson Sword saloon pack blade; 2nd use. Gentleman Jon alum. Thayer's Lemon witch hazel. Razor Emporium Citrus after shave followed by Jack Black double duty face moisturizer. Excellent shave.
Nicely done Sir Paul💈🪒💈 Sandalwood supremacy! I have many Sandalwood soaps and creams but none match the TOBS for scent and lasting power, a bit different, Posh yes, performance isn't too shabby either, AS and Cologne match perfect, amazing stuff. Thanks Mrs H, beautiful flowers today. The Variant is a good razor for value IMO, one of Parker's best. SOTD: Proraso "Green" all the way, RazoRock "Lupo" w/Personna Red blade, PAA Synth brush, alum, witch hazel and AV 5in1 balm to finish...Super. Dinner sounds good, do enjoy. Have a great start to the week ahead. Thanks for the video, well done.
Nice 1. May shaving Paul! Now to me comes the Fine Marvel but the next is this Variant. And your video now makes me more determined as before. Yes I must have.
Hi Paul- Great shave and soap review; thank you! The TOBS Sandalwood does have quite a nice scent! Great lather, as well. Lovely flowers from Mrs H; thank you, as always! Enjoy your Sunday together. Have a great start to your week. Be safe and be well. See you on Wednesday for the mid-week shave. All the best, Paul!
Shave will be a straight razor, probably my West Coast Shaving tortoise one and latigo strop, Stirling Soap Sharp Dressed Man to finish off the sample, if that doesn't get me there I have some Mitchell's Wool Fat to use, aftershave will be Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve. Sunday supper will be a nice steak and baked potato, cast iron because I'm feeling high class, add in a nice dram of scotch and a Mariners baseball game and you have the makings of a fine Sunday!
The similarity to the Merkur progress is amazing. I just finished a head shave with my progress 30 min before I watched your video and the razors look to much alike. I had the progress, a Shark blade, Body shop maca root shave cream and finished up with Nivea balm. Settings were 4, 3 and 1.5 to mop up. great shave. The flowers as always are beautiful. Thanks to Mrs H. I hope all is well, take care Paul 💈🪒🍁
Nice choices for your Sunday shave Paul, and a beautiful display by Mrs H. My Sunday SOTD will be the Tatara Muramusa with a Kai blade, Simpson Chubby 2 Badger Brush, Noble Otter Firefighter soap and aftershave, with some Nivea Men’s Body Shaving lotion to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some Burgundy Beef tips with Jasmine rice, chopped salad, and cheese rolls. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!
Great shave Paul 💈 Gavin loves his Parker variant too. Love Sandalwood such a classic scent. Hope you enjoy your pork with Lashento's. We're having ours tomorrow instead and it'll be Beef with of course Lashento's! Beautiful flowers Mrs H love the Iris's 🌷 Have a great rest of the weekend both 💈🌷💈
i got all Taylor of old bond street shaving cream i think the one i love the most, is Taylor Of Old Bond Street Jermyn Street that collection i have everything BUT one , the Deodorant stick i dont like the feeling, other than that i have the body and hair shampoo, body and bath , after shave,( splash and Balm ) one of each. and the Cologne. wow 1000 GBP insane, i thought that 1000 and more DKK was expensive 1000 GBP in DKK 8.868,6 pheew. *Anyway great shave and video fun stuff. as usual flowers are beautiful. Stay safe, cheers Peter
Beautiful flowers and a great shave. It must be Sunday. My SOTD was almost an all-Proraso one...except I used the PAA Awesome Sauce soap because it smells just like the Proraso Green splash. Used my go-to 6S with a new Nacet blade. I had a great shave and a great start to my Sunday. Enjoy your Bank holiday. Since I'm retired, every Monday is a Bank holiday for me! Cheers!
Hey Paul great shave. I'm a huge fan of TOBS Sandalwood cream. It reminds me of my grandfather whenever he shaved. My SOTD Barrister and Mann Seville shaving soap Omnibus base with the matching aftershave. Razor Parker Variant rose handle with a Wilkinson sword Blade. Yaqi 26 mm tuxedo knot with a red marble handle. My Sunday meal is going to be a pork roast with carrots broccoli and also mash potatoes. Take care
Thanks Mrs.H, beautiful display as usual. Unfortunately I get a bit of reaction from the TOBs Sandalwood cream, I have other creams and they are fine and love TOBs creams. SOTD: Nak Close shave cream for Pre-shave; A&E Kaizen soap; Alpha "Classic-Jade" 28mm Synth brush; Bic 2-blade cart (cart day); Alum; Witch Hazel; Natio AS Balm; Lucky Tiger AS Lotion. Have a great week Paul.👊😎👍
Great shave Paul. Really like that razor. Not using my Ralf Aust straight razor today. I've been using it 4 or 5 times per week since having it. I think it needs to be sent away to be honed. So I'll use my Rockwell 6s. Hope that you and Mrs. H and the girls enjoy the rest of the weekend. 🏴👍
Fantastic video! TOBS Sandalwood was my first cream when I made the switch to DE shaving. It has a fantastic scent and the performance is great as always! I picked up a Mercur 42c after your Wednesday video and I have to say it’s a fantastic razor! The shave is super smooth, especially when using a small nylon washer! Enjoy your Sunday! Cheers!
And I looked at the link for the Parker. Wow really cheap and only £2.49 for shipping to Croatia because others pay ten times as much. I've already registered on the site. I find that so cooooool. Have a nice pay holiday Paul and the first of May.
Hi Paul. Been a while but I am still checking in from time to time. I could have sworn when I bought this (toobs) sandalwood two years ago it was due to your recommendation. Maybe it was the brand you recommended and not that specific cream. It is one I use once a week at least as it really has all the characteristics I like. The scent and lather from Bond street are always right kn the money. Good to see you doing well mate. Cheers from NY.
Nice flowers Mrs H. and a great shave Paul. The Parker Variant is a great razor: its cheap, you can adjust it, has a good weight and gives a good accoutic feedback. I also gave it a good oil treatment with PTFE oil after the first shave. Sometimes the blade is a bit slanted, but hey that makes it only more efficient. Its probably the only adjustable slantbar razor ;-) I only have the TOBS coconut cream and it also smell lovely and is very soft and a bit oily. I'm also a big sandalwood fan, so I should get that one too. My SOTD:CCH Tobacco Preshave, Mühle Silvertip fibre olivewood brush, Nivea shaving cream, Mulcuto Nr.1 razor, , CHH Tobacco Aftershave, X-Base Gentleman Aftershave Balm.
Good morning. TOBS Sandalwood is my favorite shaving cream or should i say soap? Combined with Proraso red Sandalwood balm at the end of shaving is amazing. Have a nice sunday and keep wet shaving 💈😄
Great Shave Paul, Tobs Sandalwood Is one of their best sellers very nice scent I love the aftershave also, The triple Milled Version is more Herbal than the cream. Coming to the expensive razor I think I know the website your talking about Mums the word I could not justify spending two hundred pounds on a razor never mind one thousand pounds and soon as you buy something like that same as a car it loses its value and I think Glenda would remove my wedding tackle if I spent that kind of money on a razor but at the end of the day if you can afford it and you like it go for it because there are no pockets in shrouds, another beautiful display by Mrs. H 🙂 Take Care and have a great week Ahead 🙂
we all know that your preferred TOBS soap is the grapefruit one, and yes this scent is wonderful, but also the sandalwood is very nice ( from sandalwood I have also Phoenix sandalwood, stirling vanilla sandalwood, Tcheon fung sing sandalwood, etc ), the great result with TOBS is very good lather beside nice scents

Interesting that you mentioned this because I have just thought about doing something similar. How do you make a shim blade? Just take a regular razor blade and cut off the edges?
Oh my SOTD to day. A old safety razor with an very old shaving soap in Stick. Gillette Slim Twist and Colgate & CO. I'm very fine and happy. I maybe not BBS but it is in the near.

Love TOBS Sandalwood! It is a unique Sandalwood. I think it has cinnamon in the notes.
Nice shave Paul 👌

When I use the TOBS Sandalwood cream I use the matching Skin Food as a moisturiser and no splash.
That’s my favorite mass produced sandalwood. Great shave Paul, hope all is well with miss H too “) and the cats 🐈
Another great shave. And what a bouquet! A pleasure always to watch you.
Can anyone recommend me a nice adjustable razor?
My skin is quite sensitive and it seems that kind of razor would fit better. Thank you!
Very nice. I have both the soap and cream version. Indeed a very different scent but equally good.
How about a Cold Spices shave soon Paul? 👌
Great aren’t they, yes will do a cold spices shave soon👍
Nice shave Paul. Wish you all the best! 😁 Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰

@@trueblu8 that is indeed how it's done. There are a few RUclips videos on this but not much.
@@rbs1889 well I did it. But I think I messed up my cutco kitchen shears a little bit. It's not at all like cutting through a soft penny.
Paul, it's pronounced blue al-jee. And I love Jack Black products, myself!
Nice shave
Oh my SOTD to day. A old safety razor with an very old shaving soap in Stick. Gillette Slim Twist and Colgate & CO. I'm very fine and happy. I maybe not BBS but it is in the near.
Sounds great and a very fine SOTD.
Thanks Paul
Is this your favorite adjustable razor?
I personally find the soap too ‘grandad’ smelling I guess it will grow on me with time 😄
Sandal wood cedar wood, woody scents...pure Partridge mate 🤣
i have an alum block from omega. comes in a nice plastic container, like roll on deo;
it's the worst alum block i have ever used, does almost nothing
i found osma block much better
Will we be seeing His Lordship anytime soon :)
Just say 'TOOBS" - you know you want to.
Just about holding off saying it 😀
Nice shave 💈 that's a great shaving soap l like sandalwood it is really good sent 🪒have a great weekend
I don’t like the TOBS Sandlewood
Not your thing Mike, interesting how we all feel about a scent isn’t it.
The scent is quiet nice but after a while it starts stinging…
The Jermyn Street, coconut or grapefruit do not do that.
One thing for sure, i am quiet sure their scents are all synthetic.
That is why I switched to Martin de Candre or Le Pere Lucien.
Bore da Paul.
Bore Da Andrew 👍
