I love the style that you're going with when decorating your apartment, it's really relaxing to look at with all the different decorations you chose :)
This is looking GREAT. I love the music you choose and your calming voice. The shots of the sun dapples coming in with Theo are lovely!! I’d love a whole video that’s just an hour of the sun moving across one “scene” of your place. I’d put that on in the background of my day!
I have a few long clips of theo lying in the sun. I’ve been meaning to put some nice songs over it and make a chill music playlist with theo in the background
Dying from softness of your voice and your videos are like kind of meditation for me as a busy collage student.they really help me to relive from my stresses.. Thank you very much for your videos 🤍🌿
Love it benji, it’s great seeing how your style is maturing. One suggestion: - I think size up with the rug, this one is making your space look smaller. If not, then move the couch a bit forward to be closer to the tv? The small rug with the couch against the wall makes the space look a bit awkward. Everything else is wonderful and I love how all the colours and textures come together ❤
wow this is soooo nice! it really shows that good interior design is not about perfectly matching pieces or fancy colour schemes, but about bringing toghether all the things you love individually, in a way that best compliments the space. you two have obviously lived there long enough to really know the space intimately, know the strenghts and weaknesses of every spot and 'feel' them like they have become part of you. also i love how the many added seating/resting spots show your setteling down/in an feeling really safe and peaceful in there
Absolutely lovely! Love all your lamps - lighting is so important to the coziness of a room. That little frog sitting on the “lily” pad is beautiful! Love your style and your patience in collecting exactly what you love.
I’m really excited to see what you do with the plant office! There’s so much going on in there, I’m really curious to see how you end up sorting it out. Will def be taking notes for my own space…
What I love about you, - that you are THE example, that every one of us should have some passion/hobby. It doesn't matter how dumb or low income it makes, but if you do have, you are living this life. But there are all the chances that in the future it will start bringing more and more and others will be happy to get help from you.
at 13:05 Theo is in mode : "hey but what's going on there?" with his little ear back~ so cute! your apartment is very beautiful and serene, good job guys 🤍
Deep style makeovers are often exciting and very interesting looking, especially if a lot of attention to detail has been applied. My favorite style is Mid-Century Modern and what I like the most is its emphasis on the practical, minimalist, functional, without losing elegance. This week, I ordered a Le Corbusier LC3 Sofa from Manhattan Home Design and I think it will look amazing in my living room. I always wanted to have a black leather sofa. Thanks for sharing the video!
Only thing I'd change is your rug needs to be way bigger, ie your couch and chair should either be partially or completely on it. The small rug makes the entire space look small. Other than that, very nice space.
Sir Theodore made me deceased ! xD Also, the apartment is AMAZING! It flows so nicely and is so zen. I agree with that lamp being a creature, it's the coolest lamp ever! Your apartment is literally an art exhibit! I can't get over the platycerium wall!
Your home decor choices are making your home super-lindo (lovely) and cozy! Plus, congrats on finally having a home that represents your spirit and hopes for the future. I am taking strong interest in the Asano lamp now. Thanks for cuing-in audience on who manufacturers some of the pieces you selected. Yay to you + Chris!
midcentury LA is a great shop! I used to work for an interior designer who would always make appts there and check out their inventory. the staff are really great too, of course.
@@benjiplant 🥲 such a steal, so happy you have it. I love it in your space too because the black iron is such a nice and completely natural complement to the rest of your interior. the texture/look emulates volcanic rock, and the shape is another alien friend :-)
Replace the word weird with organic or free form. Alien works as well. I like the contrast of organic flowing shapes and more linear modern shapes as well as the wood tones and rich green tones and shapes.
Looking good! You could hang that platyicerium print on your bookshelf. I would do it over the second one from the left that has the large empty space before the shelf. The layered look would bring a lot of dimension.
Love your videos, you and your partner have such a calm and relaxing vibe. I always put on your videos whilst doing my plant care. I think it is a type of geode? - the stone. I totally agree about lighting changing the vibe :) Thanks Benji
Your place has a lot of cool objects. I have some comments that are not meant to be critical but just as my eye sees them. Since you have a media counsel I’d lower the TV and would also display some larger pieces on the counsel. I think the creature lamp would look better beside the counsel than the one there now. Also, that lamp on your three legged table is nice but maybe too small and the monstera plant can be moved to hide the outlet. Lastly, I’d move the couch more off the wall. You have a lot of floor space to accommodate that and it would give the room a cozier look. Again, I’m not criticizing but rather giving my opinion. I LOVE those book shelves. If you’re like me you collect a lot of “Knick knacks”. I rotate and redecorate my shelves often.
I appreciate your comment and any suggestions! I think you have a great eye; I considered most of these things as well. I wish I could lower the TV, but it was mounted before I got the media console, and it would be a big hassle to move it now. I was just looking at a cool tall jade bird statue as I read your comment, and you've given me the push to get it haha. I think I'll put it next to the paper lamp on the left. I tried putting the creature lamp where you said a few days ago, but it looked a bit awkward. I think the organic shape clashes with the rigid lines and corners of the tv and art frames. Also, the base on the bottom obstructs the walking path. I am trying to find a new place to put the creature lamp, it's currently being hit by direct sunlight from my south-facing window, and I don't want to damage it. If you're willing to suggest where to place it, I'm all ears! I can't move the Monstera in front of the outlet because it would be too close to the grow light, but I am trying to figure out a way to hide the cables. Perhaps I'll tuck them behind the pot? I'm trying to up my cable management game, lol. I moved my couch slightly off the wall, and it looks great! It makes the seating area feel a little closer/intimate. I do also love collecting knick-knacks, lol. Now that I have these shelves, I have a place to put them and "justification" for buying random objects haha.
@@benjiplant damn i love that creature lamp where it is, the legs look so good with the tall plants behind it. maybe you could move it in a straight line right into the living room, beside the rocking chair, but not riiight against the side table, so your eyes still see all the tall plants and natural sunlight behind it. also, i realize im replying to a post from four months ago, you very well could have changed it by now! 🤭🤭🤭
Can I just say thank you for the videos you post. I always come to your channel when I need a break from hectic life. I know I can just chill and watch your plant/home videos. It definitely helps me mentally. Just saying :)
i loove it. i love everything except sir theodore, i hate him so much. ..🤭 those tall shelves are so beautiful! and your apt is so bright and airy. i love your taste in lighting, im trying to get a frosted sphere lamp. i would buy a second rug, and kinda layer them slightly, (where no one will trip), so that the front feet of the furniture all have something to rest on. for example, maybe even just a light taupe/ natural jute colour that's also very flat, to slide under your feature rug. i love your channel and will be watching many more vids ☺ gonna go look for one right now! your decor is so inspiring, and im saving to redo my own space which triples as a work/living/bedroom area. i only have one window, so i want to get lots of plants (fake and real) and to make it as bright and airy feeling as possible thanks! 💛
I love this series of videos and your style decorating! I think that the living room would look better if turned around so the TV would be mounted where the mirror is and the bench behind the sofa and the sofa would be on the other side leaving some room for walking behind. This way you would not have to worry of having the furniture spread out and it would look cozier. Also when someone walked by they wouldn't block the TV =)
Your apartment is so nice and calming! Very inspirational :) and I think the blue rock you have is a colored agate! And the ikebana vase is also agate but in it’s natural colour ;)
i enjoyed this make over series a lot. BTW, last time i commented that Benjie looks a lot like CHoi-Wooshik of the Parasite film, and now Chris also reminds me of the young Ewan McGregor.

The space is relaxing and refreshing. I agree!
THE NICEST about this channel is the niceness of the people in it.
This makeover is so well thought out and intentional. I love that everything is either thrifted, found on Etsy, or passed down from family.

Your whole apartment looks amazing. I love the mixture of plants and vintage/vintage inspired furniture. I bet you can breathe easy in your home.
I love that u n Chris were wearing blue and brown, it matches ur apartment too especially those beanbags

Hello 🐕I'm in love with your peaceful and gentle and plant-full apartment, thanks for sharing!
midcentury LA is a great shop! I used to work for an interior designer who would always make appts there and check out their inventory. the staff are really great too, of course.
also!!! is that an authentic cast iron Jens Quistgaard/Dansk candleholder? ... cause im drooling 🖤_🖤 7:32
Yes it is!! I didn’t even really know what it was until I purchased it and looked more into it. i got it for $35 at a flea market. :))

Very cozy! You do a great job at making things feel neat and orderly without being sterile and symmetrical.
Such a calm, lovely video 😌 I love the coffee table and the "creature" lamp, such great finds. Oh, and the wall of book shelves of course 🧡
I'm absolutely obsessed with those wild lamps, especially the one with the moveable shade!
watching old vids and why does the pic at 0:15 look like his new house he moved into. definitely manifested it 😇
I love the long lamp it looks like a salvador dali thing
Very happy to be able to see Chris again in this episode. I miss him.
The rug is nice but a tad bit small for the space though! Makes it feel like an island as opposed to tying the space together.
Your style is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing your process.

Your place looks so nice and peaceful. I love those lamps, all of them.
Theo stole the show!!! Adorable puppy!!!
The rocks (that are in fact crystals!) are dyed agate! Pretty common stone and imo looks nicer without enhancement but still very cute
Looks very nice and cozy. Love the splashes of colors, too.
Just take care of the cables. Better hide it to make everything neat.
