I have owned the NS SW300 sub for 8 years and I have to say it's way underrated, I'm keeping this sub forever. I recently got the SVS Pb 1000 Pro and I have to say the Yamaha beats the SVS in speed, impact and grip. The SVS is way softer and slower

Hi, I just got this SW300 sub today. Paired it with Denon X520BT and Elac B5 fronts in a medium size room - 14" by 16". Trying to figure out the best cutoff and volume mix. My problem is that even at 30% volume, it seems to overpower the fronts. Having to use at 10-15% level. Sounds good but feel a little underwhelmed using a new speaker at such low level. In the reciever settings, I have set front speakers to small and LFE cutoff to 80Hz and High cutoff on the sub to 70/80Hz.
Any help would be great. Thanks

      @@TLPCHC Hi,
Would you know what connector I'd need for the RX-V585 to connect to this Sub?
I was under the impression they would provide a cable but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Hi just bought the Yamaha NS-SW300 Subwoofer and the Yamaha RX-V685 Receiver. I was just wondering if you could do a video on how to connect the Subwoofer to the Receiver please. Which port do I connect the control cable to from the Input port to the what on the receiver side? And then what other connection do I need? Do I need to also then connect an RCA cable to the Sub (LFE) port to the Receiver? And if so which port does it go into at the receiver end? Sorry for so many questions, but I have never done this before and I am completely lost. Thank you.

Connecting a sub to an AV receiver is so simple... no need for a Video. Plug it in and let it rip.

Get an RCA sub woofer cable and connect one end to your AVR's sub out and other end to the LFE in of this subwoofer and configure AVR crossover at 80Hz works for most speakers.

      NS-SW200を買いました。ヤマハのサウンドバーに追加接続していい低音出ています。買って良かった。YAMAHAは日本の誇りですね。
