Back in the day when monster and kokobop were released in 2016 and 2017 respectively. It took the k-pop world by storm. all the idols were covering it , EXO were winning all the award shows and even non EXO fans were singing fanchants, it was crazyyy 🤣🤣
I think members serving in the army, chinese members leaving and lack of aggresive promotion by SM meant they could not reach their true potential
EXO is such an iconic group that even if you don't stan them or didn't listen to kpop when they were more active and popular you'd still know half of their discography. And even though I don't stan them I have lots of their songs on my playlist cause you have to admit their music is so good and I mean group music and solo music.
The hold Monster had on me when I first heard that song was CRAZY, I played it everyday and never got tired of it 😭😭
POPULARITY AND LEGNDARITY ARE DIFFERENT CONCEPTS. Popularity is there today, tomorrow it is gone, and LEGENDARITY IS WITH YOU FOREVER. EXO songs released in 2012 in their debut album are relevant to this day. EVERY EXO ALBUM IS A VISION OF ART THAT YOU CAN LISTEN TO ENDLESSLY. EXO MUSIC IS TIMELESS. EXO ARE RELEVANT EVEN

EXO has a lot of signature moves in their MV's. Moves that become the trademark of that song, and when anyone does them you instantly know the song it is from. Love Shot, KoKoBop, Wolf, Monster, Growl. They are all iconic choreos. Not sure if you did this on purpose, but you actually listened to these/watched these in the order they were released. SM didn't start putting subs on their artists MV's until EXO's Tempo, in 2018, so don't expect any prior to that.
SM Entertainment didn't start including English captions for EXO until around 2019. They never intended to promote EXO to the western side so I guess that's why they never really bothered with captions before.

In Kokobop they are basically high/on drugs but all the visuals have to do with their storyline
as you know, they each have their own superpowers. In Kokobop, they became lacking since their real mission was to destroy The Red Force but due to they stayed on Earth for so long that they misused and start experimenting their powers like Suho(water) and the washing machine, Chanyeol(fire)/Baekhyun(light) made fireworks, D.O(earth/force) lied and the ground cracked LMAO. but yeah, KAI explained it before.
EXO is my very first and only favorite band in the entire industry. It doesn't matter how many more years pass, EXO were, are and will be Kings of K-POP, Kings of Vocals, Legends and Discoverers of the 3rd generation. EXO, even after 10 years of career, are the most popular, sought-after and highly paid SM group. Yes, because they are their best band in the history of the company. EXO is the only band with such a variety of high-quality music, choreography and visual effects.

koko bop is intentionally going for feeling of being high, the hence the reggaeton sound; so whenever u're thinking abt trying out drugs, u can just listen to koko bop lol 💀💁♀️

The most impressing thing is these songs are old songs from years ago😍😍😍 yet they are like new songs coming out in 2022. They are always making the trends not following the trends😍😘😘
EXO is a diamond not only of SM but of the entire K-POP industry. I sincerely apologize, but the visual effects of EXO are too powerful, as soon as they appear on the stage, they capture you with their dazzle, not letting you go until the very end. It's been a whole 10 years, but they simply have no equal in live performances.

Yeah, Monster and Lotto is connected to each other. Idk what to used to described it im not a native english speaker but anyways its like Lotto's 'epilogue' is Monster (lol sorry😭) and for ‘english subtitles’ SM start putting english subtitle around 2018 first MV to have it.. is EXO's TEMPO.
KOKOBOP is JUST MADE UP WORD (not sure) but its actually lyrics are about (based on my understanding in lyrics) its either about them getting high (MV) or about sex.
That era was fire 1st redvelvet came out with red flavor and then exo came with kokobop boi i miss those redvelvet encore stages
