Pretty solid episode, especially by late 1950s Suspense standards. I found during the Robson years, a decent premise and a good lead actor generally helped to carry a large portion of the episodes even if things seemed too rushed or flimsy. Sloane doing the narration like one of those EC Comics stories ("You've got a plan, and you want to see your plan through...") is also a nice touch. I have no idea though why he felt like he had to pretend to be a top yachtsman when that seems so easily found out. He was just trying to marry his girlfriend, not necessarily take part in yacht races.
I'm first! I liked the story, it's not the best Suspense story, but I enjoyed it! Everett Sloane was in a Twilight Zone TV show about a prim man obsessed with gambling. Do you remember " Franklinnnn"? The slot machine kept tormenting the guy until he lost it and fell out a window to his death.
Oh yeah - I remember! I've seen every Zone episode many times! Unfortunately, there are very few really good episodes by the time Suspense gets into the late 50's. @@SuspenseESCAPEremastered The Twilight Zone episode was "The Fever" ( I had to google it , lol) and it came out in 1960. Well , do you remember Marvel Comics of the 1960s? Do you remember , Marvel offered a " no prize" to readers who commented on trivial events,lol! 👌
@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered With a half an hour of adverts 😑 I watched something only 20 minutes long one time, it 5ook an hour, every fie minutes there would be an advert and then it would start the show again fro about two minutes ago 😑
