Jim Kaat was always very nice and a generous signer as a broadcaster for the Twins, although no one EVER considered him to have a shot at the Hall of Fame back then. One day I was out of Jim Kaat cards to get sign and he signed my little 200 (?) count white cardboard box that I was carrying all of the Twins/O's cards for that day's game. His signature from the video is consistent with 30+ years ago!
Yes, I actually found (after I filmed this) my older Jim Kaat autograph from late 80s/early 90s. Looks the same, except for the the connected "T" at the end.
Great video Frank. I hope the Detroit spectacular becomes a yearly thing for a long time.
So do I, I heard it will be back next year, but a week earlier to correspond with the Grand Prix.
@@baseballHOFautographs great to hear

Cool video!
Jim Kaat seemed like a really nice guy!
Met him twice about 20 years apart, and was friendly and kind both times. I know he’s beloved in Minnesota for a reason.
He should have been in the hall a long time ago…in my opinion.
Do you feel the same about Tommy John then?
16 GG - plus his w/l is much better than ryan's ;)
