💯 The current body positive movement fails to mention the fact that being overweight or obese is dangerous. I gained20 lbs during the Covid shutdown. I felt awful. Fell into depression. Once things opened up again and I went back to work, the weight started dropping and my mental state improved greatly.
Let’s get off the husband this is about her journey. He has his own journey. He’s the father of FOUR adopted children and 1 biological. He is awesome! Rock on brown teddy bear!
Your comment was the first I read, & before I even scrolled down I just KNEW people would be on his case. How sad that we live in a society where people think they have a right to dictate to others how they should live their own lives & how they should look. We do not know him, this documentary was on *her* & her journey alone. For all we know he *has* lost weight & is continuing to do so at his own pace, but even if he isn’t, people need to back off. From a fellow ‘fat persons’ point of view, body shaming someone & dictating sends someone in the OPPOSITE direction, it isn’t remotely helpful. People need to mind their own. This is precisely why I just can’t stand videos of any nature that contain larger people on the barcroft channel because it really brings the ugly people out of the wood work. She’s done absolutely amazing & I know she’ll continue to inspire those around her on a daily basis.
Yeah, but he's obese. Should follow his wife's lead and get healthy, too. He's the father of 5 children and those children expect him to be around for many more years, not having a heart attack at age 40.

I was over 300 lbs last year. I'm down to just over 200 lbs now. Keto, intermittent and prolonged fasting, light exercise and walking did it for me. You can do it too!
I was 392 last July. I started by eating low carb. It has really helped. I've dropped 65 lbs. I'm working with a dietician to keep me accountable. At first I did only a week of low carb. No bread, pasta, sweets, cereals, fruit, beans, etc. I felt better. I started researching recipes that I liked & making the food. Slowly the weight started coming off & I continued to eat low carb. Morning starts off with bacon & eggs! Plus, no exercising! I'm hoping that once I drop another 40 lbs that I will be able to move better. Good luck to you.

She was very smart about the way she went about losing fat by focusing on one thing at a time and focusing on getting her nutrition right first. What a transformation! Congratulations.
What I've discovered personally and what's clear here too is that we don't have to rush to the gym to lose weight - FIRST learn to eat properly then the desire to exercise will kick in later. Most people try to cut out sugar and exercise simultaneously which just leaves them tired and hungry and they lose hope and give into emotional eating. Well done to this woman, what an amazing transformation ie not a crash diet situation, a lifestyle change, love it 🤗💯
Yes you have to gradually reduce your calories or you will get huge cravings. And excercise really makes you hungry too. People rush and just stop eating and it doesn't work.
Yep!! It took me 3 months to transition to eating well, then you achieve that and feel good.. time to add in the movement. One step at a time, when you're big you can loose weight just be eating well, then you need the exercise to keep going. Best not to exhaust all your tools right from the start :)

I know that feeling too well. Before I lost my 93 pounds I was miserable. The easy tasks were so difficult. Even putting on my shoes. Mind you I did it at age 48 when doctors told me I can't loose too much weight due to the fact that I am old with a slow metabolism. Now I am few months for my 50 yrs old. I had to prove them wrong. So I did it. When you set your mind to do something , anything is possible. Kudos to her. Well done 👍🏻. Great example for her children.
Ooh, I am 50 and I struggled for 10 years to lose weight. I just assumed it was because of my age because I had never struggled to lose weight when I was younger (my weight has gone up and down since the age of 10!). Now I am on a Weight Watchers diet and the weight is coming consistently off almost effortlessly. I think it’s just a matter of finding a diet that works rather than being too old to lose weight. As we become older I believe we need less food because we are less active than in our youth. But with Weight Watchers, knowing I can have as much fruit as I want and it doesn’t count helps me conquer that feeling of being deprived. By the way, now I am 50 myself I definitely don’t consider it as being old!
She looks fantastic and I have much respect for how strong, controlled, and disciplined she was throughout her weight loss journey. You can tell she truly loves her family and is a great person. Her children are all beautiful and seem like great kids. Her husband seems like a great man, but it would have been nice to see him go through the journey with her. I know personally how difficult it is to lose weight, but hopefully he will join her at some point in getting healthier to avoid any possible health issues due to obesity. God bless you and your family. Thank you for being a wonderful role model and inspiration.
I have to disagree. While she looks awesome....I would not have wanted that vertical scar on my stomach. I had a breast reduction and tummy tuck 5 years ago.

I weigh 300lbs and feel the same way. I need someone who is like me who is 300 lbs, so we can motivate each other to become fit and healthy

That’s actually what worked for me.

People fail to truly understand that weight loss surgery creates a tool. That tool comes with instructions. Some follow the instructions, others ignore them. It is not a magic bullet. Also, I learned weight loss is 80% diet and only 20% exercise. I hear people say their surgery was not effective because of an injury that kept them from working out. @@duane_313 Probably working long hours to pay for her to have the free time to go to the gym, and support a wife and 4 children is not cheap also, plus surgeries, that house, and everything else, not saying that you can't lose weight with all that, but it does make it a bit harder, and not everyone can lose weight at the same time, or even want it.
I think that was a very mean comment !! It's not easy to lose weight and unless the person is ready to do it nobody can change that .. I think it's amazing how he stood by her , supported her and God bless them , they have a beautiful family.. that's a success story on it's own.. having someone to love u no matter what !!
This is simply an amazing human. Every single part of this story is incredible.
Now it's Dads turn to get healthier so he can meet his grandchildren one day and have a long and happy life with his pretty wife
I want to see her husband transformation too 🙏🏻
Shedding tears over this, you are amazing. It's one thing to know that you have to change but another to actually do and stick to it. You look amazing, be proud and don't stop :)
I'm so proud of her. I can't imagine the dedication and mental strain she needed to do this. I went from 190 to 140 and that 50 pound difference is a BIG ONE I can only imagine how great she feels. Go ahead SUPER MOM
That's my exact goal. What did you do to lose the weight?
@@AB-cv8dx I ate less with every meal. Stopped drinking Soda. Drank more water. And basic workouts. Squats, Running, sit ups, push-ups etc. Also eat more fruits. You can do it took me 8 months but it's so worth it ❤️ you got this. 😁
@@priscillaramirez4815 thank you so much!! I've been trying and I've been slowly losing weight but the discouraging part is gaining some of that weight back. But thanks for your tips!!
@@AB-cv8dx it does happen but if you been working out just remember that you gain muscle which can attribute to the weight gain. Don't give up. It's all worth it in the end. I believe in you🎉🎉
@@priscillaramirez4815 thank you so much 💙💙
The random hand stands are so adorable.
What a gift you gave to yourself and especially your children. Very inspiring.
"A change starts with self" and she is the example.
Those scars really tell a beautiful story, so proud of you! Really amazing to see such a bonded family
She has a beautiful family. She is a wonderful example and doing amazing with her journey! 😍

My god. That transformation got me speechless
This story is amazing! I started gymnastics about 2 years ago and it is amazing I make a lot of friends and I learn how to do flips! Sports and gymnastics can really change your life! But the most important thing is having fun!
6:01 lmao why would they add the flatline like that?😂

What a lovely story and such a determined woman. I am very impressed by what she has done.
Three words: Excellent Job Girlie!!! ❤️👊🏽
Dammm she’s actually cutee.
Awesome Awesomeness she looks cute with Braces and Blue eyes
She should be extremely proud of herself. I think the mental struggle of losing weight is actually harder than the physical part. I've lost weight before and gained it back. I need to do it again. This lady is an inspiration. Her family is beautiful and they all look so happy, I love it!❤
I wonder why her husband didnt lose weight with her
She's athletic.
Mandem don’t have that sort of pressure.
@@user-dz2hj6jo5h Men don't have the pressure to avoid dying from obesity?
