    Many happy returns of the day young man!🍻🎂
    I love Disney even more so now that they are somewhat getting more inclusive!
    Also, I think Dr. Bunsen Honeydew & Beaker from The Muppets should be on this list.

    Beauty and the Beast remake of 2017 is awesome and not just because of LeFou´s changes included there which weren´t on the original but worked GREAT, but all of stuff that were correcting a lot of issues that the 1991 animated movie actually has and people tend to ignore just on heavy-weight of nostalgia love of it. Besides BatB movie remake of 2017 kinda seems as more mature and darker than the original one, the ending-credits new main-song "How Does A Moment Last Forever?" by Celline Dione is so wholesome and upgraded in tune than the original "Beauty and the Beast/Tale As Old As Time" classical song, Beast got such a hearthwrenching song on "Evermore" [and well that was such a surprise on how it came from nowhere and good because he barely sung on the original movie in all!!] and well the actors used there kinda seems as if Disney were doing some sort of mashup of contemporary geek-fandom-service of actors from The Lord of the Rings/Hobbit franschise, the Hunger-Games, the Harry Potter and even Star-Wars precuels or Downtown Abbey into Disney!! So the movie is SO WHOLESOME more than the original one - which I never ever liked much in all - and it´s more than LeFou issue alone in all, and his changes and development are so GOOD.
    (It´s interestingly and clever that the performer of Gaston actually is an open gay and already happy-married guy, Luke Evans, and LeFou´s Josh Gad performer isn´t gay in all, so it was well done too about it!)

    Artie character in "Cruella" movie is so AWESOME and so well done there!! That´s so TRUE but well the movie build well the guy by using the stereotype on him right on the context where it belongs most!! That´s why he doesn´t bother anyone because it rightfull on context and development and is able to build up a lot from there!!

    OUT short-animated feature of Disney-Pixar is so AMAZING!! That´s very clever done and it think also very cleverly RELEASED!! The short got popular and without no big backlash overall - well not much beside the usual conservative groups after all - and reached more audiences because it kinda was done without a previous advertising on its issue, just... BARELY in all so it took by surprise a lot of people not just on progressive ones but a lot of mainstream flexible-moderate average audience and then they like the story and character building regardless the gay identity on them, and well... it wasn´t a prosselitysm issue itself neither media was used to announce it too. It seems that actually to advertise beforehand the themes backfires more than just doing the defense AFTER the releasing.

    Disney’s 1932 Silly Symphony “King Neptune” contains a gay character. One of the pirates is an extremely fay stereotype who bats his eyes at other pirate crew and moons over them. The cartoon can be found on RUclips.

      i dunno if it's gay or more of the cultural stereotype that if you put a bunch of men together for a long period of time - like prison or on a ship - one possibly becomes the "receptacle" and that usually is portrayed in a feminised way

    OMFG Ducktales remake of 2017 - 2020 is so AWESOME!! Again all was totally well integrated, no particular one-sided or main-sided agenda in all on it, so it work both for progressive trends yet keeping traditional-conservative issues in well balance all time, using and integrating cleverly when needed for it.
    Ducktales remake actually was enjoyed MORE by the grown-up parents or relatives of younger audience which saw the original 1987-1991 series when they were young at the same age in the past, and well saw a lot of stuff at the time gap in between both versions (1991 - 2017, 26 years is A LOT) which were actually addressed on this new version so... it was so much in tune with both the newer audience as well the older ones and... well at the end it was actually the older fandom which got more interested and doing critic and elaborating fanstuff than the younger ones in fact, henceforth current and classical social trends were well addressed on properly time there on right context as it was neeeded.

    I had no idea about Jungle Cruise movie in all. Not bad the representation there, but the movie got a lot of issues besides of it and well the social-media promotion overemphasing those issues regardless on how well were done fine on the movie as if the main plot of the movie wasn´t much interesting on itself backfired on it again. It´s not on homophobic-conservative trends to priotize itself alone but, actually that the movie kinda got issues and a somewhat already foreseen way that bored audiences against it.

    Given that the actor playing Gaston is gay, it almost feels like a miscast. But still, he probably enjoys the attention on a “look, don’t touch” rule.

    No mention of Strange World? The main character is gay.

    • @viddork
      @viddork 5 дней назад

      Ethan is hardly the main character. But it is a shame that, with less than three minutes of the story dealing with him being gay, the homophobic conservatives tanked the whole movie by crying about it being all about the "gay agenda". Just the same as they did with a three second kiss in _Lightyear._

  • @lhadzyan7300

    No, Disney not oftenly made good gay representation overall at least not on purpose or on main-characters untill recently and even then most have been controversy types rellying on stereotypes and a shallow cover of it. It´s odd but a lot of the matching times when Disney may have been better or closer to gay or LGBT+ representation, it wasn´t much the proper goal of it or was ambiguous on the official status of it, so not much true on it.

    It seems that a lot of younger-adults and teens themed-series on Disney Channel involved a lot of good-developed and represented gay and other LGBT+ issues on the TV, however also makes perfect sense why regardless on how actually well-done had been made, this alongside the streaming-TV service media as rivals worked to made the channel so unfitting to keep working more so it closed late this last year of 2024 after some more than 40 years working on since 1983. The issue that a lot of people regarding the channel as for family friendly on youngster pre-teen fostering-raising issues and those are traditional-conservative themed issues felt allienated by the current progressive sociopolitical agenda openly stated there might have been better foreseen on DIsney leadership before risking a lot then and loosing more than what was earned.

    Cruella movie is so well done, and hold such a very good work for both progressive and conservative audiences in one wholesome trully integrated way, maybe because it worked on proper compromise to make sense all and not pushing any particular ideological and sociopolitical agenda over other, just all on what fitted for.

  • @lhadzyan7300
    @lhadzyan7300 5 дней назад

    Again on Lightyear there was a lot of issues on the movie which were wrong or boring or whatever, but the overemphasize for the lesbian kiss issue in media and to keep it on the Western version of the movie - because on Middle East and Easter Asia that didn´t appear actually in all - which backlashed against the expected success of it. I guess if not commenting in all untill AFTER the movie got released if by chance someone were addressing it to defend it from the critics but only UNTILL THEN, then it could have worked even more, by having people actually intrigued to evaluate the issue after the controversy since their release but... it was done BEFOREHAND and... that ruined all even more in negative predisposing way. i.e. the self-fullfilling prophesy working there!!

  • @lhadzyan7300
    @lhadzyan7300 5 дней назад

    I think Eternals might could have been better on audience impact if not getting the progressive-promotion agenda thrown in commentaries elsewhere instead of just letting people discover it on its own and then... letting others to go to see it both on the comments of people about how they deal on matters about those issues and the actual plot and characters development on the movie. All that earlier promotion on social-agenda worked in backlash against on adding more and well getting people interested about a lot of stuff on the movie plot than the social issues that were used for the movie itself. This trend has been increasingly the biggest isssue of handicap for Disney since 2017 till current day.

    Oh so it´s the latter High School Musical version or derivative of the franchise of the 2000s, well... that´s tricky because on it´s proper time, Disney didn´t allowed to make it sense and when comparing the quality and cultural impact of the original trilogy + Sharpay´s movie spin-off to this latter versions, it doesn´t held the same level of cultural impact that it had before, when Ryan was very queer-coded character regardless of never going into that at the end.

    I know none of these. And I don't see why these would be considered "right". They aren't. There are a thousand ways to be gay. In more classic movies and series you can find better examples of right gay characters.

  • @lhadzyan7300
    @lhadzyan7300 5 дней назад +1

    The guys of that High School Musical series are kinda too much stereotypically gay than just gay-coded ones as the original trilogy with Ryan Evans character and his true story arc which only happened on theater version and not the movies, and didn´t have the same appealing impact than the former ones.
