Hell yeah. I remember when they first started (damn makes me feel old aha) Ariels vocals were off more than they were on when listening live, and over the year the control and sound has become so consistent and amazing and I love it (hope that makes sense...its no meant to be disrespectful at all)
She's an inspiration, I take Vocal Lessons myself and a lot of terms she uses in streams are ones I know.

Absolutely am in love with this version. Not only is it easier for this old woman to understand the words, even more importantly you can really feel the emotions. I think you really bring home the feelings with your hands and facial expressions. That said, I love the original version when I'm upset or angry with myself which happens much more frequently than I'd like. Really glad you guys stuck with your convictions and ideas when labels tried to fix something and mold you into something you weren't.
Right! I feel like all their Acoustic Versions are very special for this very reason. The level of emotions it adds, how much you can really feel it. I hope I said this right though.
Also completely agree with staying themselves. Rather than conforming to some labels mold. Too many in this day and age just conform... :(

Gosh, I absolutely love this too. I love the heavier sound like the original for when I'm jamming out, but when I'm looking for the emotion- that raw, unfiltered, honest truth that Icon for Hire does so freaking well- it's got to be the acoustic versions. I especially love the focus on emotions and lyrics for my writing playlists

Yay, more people who use their songs for writing playlists! Their lyrics are such great story/character development fodder. Citizen Soldier is another of my favorite bands whose stuff immediately goes onto my writing playlists every time.

Well, you have to consider that most songs start out either on acoustic guitar or piano, and then evolve from there. So there’s usually always an acoustic version of a song. Most of the time they just don’t get released.
I just love how far you've come in just that little time that I know of your band now. This video shows just how much skill you have gained singing I think. Because I remember you saying that your voice "wouldn't fit the genre" but I think that you can't say that anymore. You made it your own. Please be proud of the way you are, so are we.

For someone who's Covid-19 positive like me (it effing sucks, yes), this band and their music - latest album EXTRA appreciated - helps overcome or at least make the discomfort, pain, depression, and overall negativity (oh, the irony) a little more bearable. This is the Ariel I needed and wanted to hear. Now I hear her true voice wich is really powerfull. In my opinion this version shows a better meaning of the song and Ariel really shows how good her voice is. Love the more darker and lower side of her voice.
