    The edge might just be the racing shoes I’ve been waiting for. But I might invest in the sky also for training before the race and mainly because i have a running shoe problem.

    Im a size 10 in the asics superblast with the huge toebox but often size 10.5 in lots of other shoes ... Not sure whether to go 10 or 10.5 in the sky paris ? Is the toebox as roomy as the superblast ?

    def seems like a good option. Currently using the endorphin pro 3 for racing but these looks very tempting as well. Not sure which is built for me, however.

    Which one would you recommend for someone who’s solely a forefoot striker. Even though I’m a cadence runner I got the sky + because I needed the extra foam in the forefoot. Now with both being the same, I’m unsure which one to choose. Will be using for Half marathons only.

    • @runningwarehouse
      @runningwarehouse  4 месяца назад

      Given the lower drop in the Edge Paris (5mm) as compared to the Edge Plus (8mm) you're getting a bit more foam under the forefoot, which feels really bouncy and propulsive in combination with the plate placement. I believe cadence runners are going to really enjoy the underfoot experience of the METASPEED Edge Paris. - Jon

    What do you think is a better a better shoe for half marathon, alphafly 3 or metaspeed edge 3

    • @runningwarehouse
      @runningwarehouse  4 месяца назад

      Both shoes are excellent options for the half marathon. It all comes down to your running preferences. The Metaspeed Edge Paris is a little lighter and a touch firmer where the Alphafly 3 is going to be softer/squishier and might feel more comfortable over a longer distance.

    I will go for the EDGE version,
    just because of the BLACK rubber outsole.

    Beautiful shoes. I had the metaspeed sky plus, it is not for me, ended up selling it. too unstable with almost nothing under the arch. I see the same design with the new version. Takes someone with strong ankles to handle it.

      How slow are you running in these where they feel unstable

      @@jazzyjay4595 I have tried various speed up to 6:45 to 7:00min/mile. I used a drone to videotape my stride, I felt ok but on the footage overpronating pretty bad. I know it is my ankle strength not able to handle the design, so made a hard decision to part with the beautiful pair of shoes.

      @@chadliu86 typically, if you’re running slower than 7/mile, the shoes don’t actually provide a benefit other than the cushioning. Shoes like the SuperBlast or other “super trainers” would be much more suitable. The extra weight of the trainer is not much of an issue in that situation. There was an independent study done back in 2019 that had subjects running in super shoes and trainers. At an average of 6’56 per mile, the trainers and super shoes leveled out in terms of efficiency benefit

      I think it also has to do where you land on your foot. If you are a heel striker the Edge might be best because the rocker starts earlier and the turnover will be easier. If you are a mid foot og forefoot striker the Sky might be best because you will compress more foam because the pate is closer to your foot.
