This whole series is absolutely fucking classic. I grew up in the Sydney northern beaches and after a few decades away with the navy, came back up here to be near my mother who lived in Bayview for 60 years. We rented at Newport for a while and then against the odds bought our first house at Avalon in 2013. This show is sooooooooo accurate about people who up live here. The stripy shirts/blouses might be gone now but the stripy shirt wankerism still persists. That said, there are a whole lot of other tribes in Avalonia that deserve equal attention in the history of this weird 'village' that has the worst intersection in the southern hemisphere.
