I can't imagine a 5/16s " on an S-Type anywhere. ALWAYS use correct size sockets and spanners ! In this case 8mm.

I had mind replaced by a shop (w some other small stuff) now my car jerks say engine coolant is low with restricted performance time to time (like a couple time in a 30min drive) and now I have these new problems I never had before :( do you think it’s Bcs they put a bad one in ?

Not really, Jaguars are known for Catalytic converter’s going out , which will make you go in restricted performance
