Just so you know... this film is NOT property of G. William Jones film and video archive at SMU. Its property of the U.S. Government via D.O.D. and the USAF and is availible from the National Archives in Washington D.C. And is availible through the freedom of information act.

It's March 2024, and I saw 3-4 -111's behind the fence or a local AFB. They were the type that got sent to the boneyard, because they had that full conservation protection. Not sure where they're heading, but it looks like they are getting a once over. I'll try to film updates through the year if I can

We need the F-111 in DCS, what a marvel of engineering involved in this aircraft!

That's going to be it's downfall in DCS as well. Too much of the technology in the F-111 is still highly classified. And even IF it were declassified, DCS would have to be redone from scratch to accommodate the linked TFS, the radars, the bombing systems. Even the ejection pod systems would have to be custom built.
You could do an easier job building a B-2 and the new B-21 in DCS, there's no TFR system as complex on the stealth bombers.

How many Doboe Gillis actors ratio to public affairs chaps. Spot on James Bond theme works as well. Great!

This film needs some serious TLC in the form of expert restoration.

Mystery Science Theater needs to get hold of this: "Intervelometer? Is that anything like an Interociter?"

Are these actors or real F-111 crews? If real I wondered what happened to these men?
