Love the name of your channel. Great reminder that parts of the Rockies are also in the Northwest. Funny to think that I have never done a backpacking trip in Idaho! So much beautiful mountainous country. Craig lake looked like a sweet place to camp. Great scrambling portion as well along the Craigs. The empty parking lot after a long dirt road says all you need to know about this wilderness. Take care and keep on exploring.

Thank you! I'm glad you watched! Idaho is loaded with great hiking, and much of it is overlooked without crowds. Hope you get to explore it sometime. Hike on!

I didn't realize that the road up to Big Fog Saddle was open...way cool!

Can't thank you enough for making this video! We've been planning a trip into the Selway Crags for a few years now, and are leaving soon so this really helps with the planning. Hoping to drop into Florence Lake from the no name pass that you briefly showed. Does it look fairly doable?

I'm glad it helps! As far as getting down to Florence Lake from that pass, it might be possible, but it was very steep with a bunch of cliff bands and boulder fields. Then, down by the lake, it looks to be thick brush, and in the Selway-Bitterroot, bushwacking is brutal. The mile from Cove Lakes to Jesse Pass is rough. It might be easier coming from Big Fog Mountain down the ridgeline to the pass you want. Tha ks for watching. Have a safe hike!
