I love how Berthodt still respects armin. The way he said "You've fought well" and "I understand, 'll put you to rest" really shows how he sees armin and even everyone in the SC as a respectable soldier and a beloved companion (He did not say anything foul or bad to them PERSONALLY throughout this) even if he knows he'd be betraying them someday. He still admires them as Comrades even if he knows some of them wants him dead.

I was really happy with how Eren went to finish Bertholt: as a survey corps member, as a human, as the boy who wanted revenge from the attack on his home. No titan power, no helping from more experienced soldiers, this is what he trained and struggled for from the start, and it was really worth it.

2:18 "Eren still hasn't moved from where he fell" I love the fact that he actually *has* moved, he's raised himself into a sitting position, but because Berthold isn't aware of the plan that subtle change just doesn't register.
I also love the fact that what he emits isn't steam or vapour, it's just sparks, really hot air and fire and he shouldn't be able to see anything through that, but somehow he does
Eren defeating Bertholt by slicing his nape was such a symbolic way to finish him off. That’s what he struggled to do back in season 1 and it’s not easy to fight him in the Attack Titan form. The way this was written was so clever
And the set is his village that got destroyed by Berthold. Full circle
that scene where Armin is hanging in there till the end, saying he is entrusting all his dreams and hopes to eren and finally loosing grip of the sword handle as he gets burnt to a crisp... always makes me cry.

Armin is younger and less experienced than Erwin yet he still sacrificed himself in order to take down Bertholt. They were both incredibly brave and both of them deserve respect.

how was it fun? its was awful and heartbreaking. i acknowledge the fact that he got hundreds of people killed and in no way is that ever okay to do, but we also need to remember that bertholdt, reiner, and annie were all brainwashed at a young age by the marleyan government. he is not a evil person, he was given a role that made him do all those horrible things, he himself said that they didn't do this by their own choice. so he didn't deserve to die, he really deserved better.

I can not even begin to fathom how painful this must have been for Armin. Actually, people ranted about Colossal's cgi in the past too. But it's been so long that the hate comments got buried. Furthermore, it was easier for them to dismiss cgi only on the biggest titan. Not to mention how Rod Reiss got great animated shots, despite his own cgi moments, most of the time he appeared animated. And people are mad because now ALL of the titans have heavy cgi. They say MAPPA wanted to delay the new season, but you know...deadlines. Though some others also say that they deliberately left the least talented animators for AoT, while the better MAPPA animators worked on others projects, because they weren't paid enough for it, so they were like, "you get what you paid for". Keep in mind, I only heard people saying the last statement, I don't know if there's any truth in it.

A pacifist even as we saw in the flashbacks of the first season where he had bullies threaten physical violence while he held to his philosophy. And here he is again. Taking on the fucking titan alone, sacraficing himself, just to give Eren a CHANCE to beat him. This guy... man....

Everyone keeps saying Erwin is braver than Armin, but never takes into account that Armin is a scaredy-cat but still was willing to sacrifice himself just for Eren to land the killing blow. IMO , Armin is braver.
Erwin literally did the same. Not only that but he was forced to sacrifice his men too. Armin couldn't have done that.
Erwin may be brave, but Armin is courageous. They're not the absolutely the same thing. Bravery is fearlessness, while courage is having the ability to act even despite all the fear you have

J F Mra well good thing WIT didn’t use this shtty CGI in every fucking titan scene. And only for 5 seconds in a 5 min clip. Maybe if mappa didn’t waste all its time on JJK they could have animated the Titans better. I would tell you to do your research but idiotic people usually don’t so I’ll just tell you. CGI is more expensive to do but a lot faster. Mappa was running out of time and had to rush the animation so to fix this they decided to CGI all titan forms and major sized things this season

This might seem random, but I LOVE how unlike the other titan shifters who just have the weird lines on their eyes after they get out, Bertholdt and later Armin have their titans’ face imprinted onto theirs. It just looks really cool and shows that the colossal titan is so unlike any other titan

WIT has excellent 2D animation than Mappa studio, but Mappa's 2D is also very good but WIT is slightly ahead. However, Mappa's CGI is light years away from that of WIT. Mappa has a better command of CGI compared to WIT. If only the two studios could work fully together, we would have one of the best animated visuals. Wit will take care of 2D animation and OST and Mappa will take care of

@@eesharazia76 I come back to my comment 1 month later and I will admit that this particular episode was indeed a small disappointment. The CGI is good but there they used it everywhere but then there everywhere and that's what kinda got me out of the episode. There was 3D on the titans, on the battalion (sometimes on simple shots that didn't even need it), it was also used on things like vehicles. It was abused
